This meal blew our minds … one of our favorites during our trip through Chianti. The wine, the care into preparing exceptional food, and the kindness of La Gorgia’s staff made it a meal we will never forget. We can’t wait to return during our next visit, and can’t recommend enough.

Strolled across this place on our honeymoon and had the best meal of our entire trip!!! The food was absolutely incredible and the service was fantastic. The next day we were walking by the restaurant when it was raining and the owner came out and lent us an umbrella to walk home. What a beautiful experience!! Would recommend this place to anyone!!!

The best restaurant in Gaiole, perhaps in Chianti. So good we went twice and my girlfriend ordered the same dish both times - absolutely unheard of! Also extremely well priced for the standard.

I arrived in the square around 6pm with family and friends trying to select a suitable restaurant to please all pallets.
I was really impressed with La Gogia's menu and it has some real quality fine dining dishes at reasonable prices.

He kindly offered to accommodate us for a table of 8 from 6.30 even though they opened at 7.

Due to the restricted choices for kids we explored the other options. When I went back to him, he totally understood and actually recommended his competitor.
Now that's community spirit.
Hence why, even without tasting the food I'm leaving this restaurant a 5 star review, because I certainly know had I eaten here it would be none the less.

Went to Milan, Florence and Siena - this was one of our favourite meals out. The duck, malfatti, and spaghetti were outstanding. Cannot highly recommend more. 5 stars!

This place is a hospitality masterpiece. The food is absolutely amazing and the environment couldn’t get cozier.

My husband and I went for lunch and came back for dinner. We tried several meals and all of them were great, but the pasta is the flagship. Definitely go for it!

Don’t miss this hidden jewel if you’re staying or passing nearby. You will never regret and will definitely want to come back!

The food was absolutely delicious! We were very full by the second course but it didn't stop us from eating the rest. Lovely setting, staff wonderful. I'd highly recommend coming here.

What a great start to our vacation in Gaiole! Small menu but still hard to choose because the options all sounded special and well arranged. Everything we settled on was delicious. The restaurant has very good value for money and super friendly staff.

An amazing restaurant with out of this world food. The owner came by to ask about the experience and we told him it was our best experience during our 4 weeks in Tuscany. The staff gave us astonishing service. If you are even 50 km away you need to stop and have lunch or dinner or both!

An awesome family run restaurant. An outstanding menu selection, super presentation and delicious food. Great ambience and tucked away in a quaint corner. I am sure the Michelin guide shall find its way to it soon!

What an incredible meal! Honestly one of our favourite dinners of our entire trip to Italy! Amazing service, incredible food and delicious wine! The risotto is a must! As is the beef tartare!

What a fantastic little restaurant in the little Tuscan town of Giaole in Chianti! The owner is a great host and shows it through his hospitality while his wife prepares the delicious meal you’ll have.

All dishes were simple, but beautiful and extremely tasty. You can tell the food is high quality because simplicity makes it much harder to find flaws and you will not find flaws here!

Make it a point to stop in here and you won’t be disappointed.

Unexpected delight! The room and service greeted us with a relaxed confidence. The wine list was excellent and we ordered the 2019 Montevertine whose profile sits on the elegant side of Chianti Classico. The poached egg and eggplant appetizers were flavour explosions and the tagliolini with saffron butter and shaved truffle was perfectly executed. Don’t miss out on this hidden jewel!

We had the best meal of our two week honeymoon in Italy here. It is a Michelin level experience!

The food was seasonal and high quality, the portions were generous, and the service was kind and welcoming. We loved the pecorino cheese and jams, the roasted leeks, and the risotto tossed in the wheel of pecorino cheese, but the crème de la crème were the pici with black garlic/burrata/anchovy and the duck breast with black cherry sauce/chilis/celeriac. Don’t skip the pici if you are anchovy averse—the taste is so subtle and balanced by the creaminess of the burrata! And, the duck dish was creative and comforting—we couldn’t stop eating it even though we were full from the antipasti and primi.

I recommend making a reservation, which was easy to do by phone.

We will definitely go out of our way to eat at La Gorgia again next time we are lucky enough to return to Italy!

Excellent place for dinner in the Gaiole town center. Every dish was perfect. Great service. We plan to return many times.

Small local restaurant with incredibly cozy atmosphere and great food at reasonable prices. The wine list is also amazing with almost everything you may want to find in Chianti also at reasonable prices (some of them are even cheaper than at the winery).

Came here for dinner with my wife during our stay at Castle Meleto during winter.

Cosy restaurant with great service! Especially loved the truffle fried poached egg . Easily the best version of poached egg I’ve ever tried. 🍳 Highly recommended!!

Don't think twice to eat at La Gorgia! The quality of everything is amazing. We went for lunch and came back for dinner because it was too good!

I was craving for a caccio peppe and the chef and the owner were super kind making one for me with all their heart even not having the exact right pasta for that.

Definitely, one of the best meals I ever had in Italy, if not ever.

That place is what we love Tuscany for!
@La Gorgia is run by a lovely couple that makes you feel like home. And it’s not just said that way. They welcomed us so warmly that it was kind of hard to say goodbye to these people and - of course - to the food as our vacay came to its end. We’ve almost tried the whole menu up and down and it’s quite hard (again!) to say what’s best. But our all time favorite is the „Pici Cacio e Pepe“.
Besides their food you can make some real good and affordable finds on their wine menu as well and to top it all off: The playlists will stick in my head, and let me think of the good times we had there.
Let’s break it down. The best food in the best atmosphere and most of all with the best people. So, if you’ll ever be around Chianti area/Tuscany, this place is definitely worth a visit! We‘ll be back for sure.
