This review is for the B&B and the restaurant.
The B&B is super clean, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and good. The service is outstanding. You feel welcome and cared for.
It is the perfect place to recharge energy and go back to exploring the Amalfi coast during the day.
The connection by bus was easy to and from Amalfi.
The restaurant located below the B&B rooms was very tasty. Probably the best pasta with seafood I tried in the whole trip. Definitely a good experience.
I recommend both B&B and restaurant.

A beautiful place to stay and we were made to feel part of the family here! A special thanks to Martina and all the family + staff who went above and beyond in looking after us (including our baby girl). Great experience and also the restaurant downstairs in the same complex is very good with delicious food, dessert and limoncello. Highly recommended and will return one day in future. Thank you!

Truly wonderful stay and great staff. Very helpful and kind! Location was perfect for us as we wanted to be close enough to the city center but not hearing the noise and experiencing the crowded streets from all the tourist. We rented scooters and the hotel arranged for them to be dropped off and picked up at the hotel. That was a great way to get around.

As you can see i gave it a 5 star review so i truly loved it Butt i Will give the two things that could be considered to improve on…the curtains over the sliding door to the sea view are beautiful but it works be nice if there was a second set of black out curtains as an option to close over them as the sun wakes you about 6:45-7.

Second thing…the bed and pillows. I have a bad back and so im sensitive, i would have liked a slightly softer or more supportive mattress and one thick and one thin pillow so as to have an option whether to side sleep or back sleep. Our room had 3 very thick pillows and one thin one so i let my wife have that one.

Neither of those things was a big enough thing to reduce my rating to 4 stars though.

Everything is perfect. Honest value for money for a location with a view of the Gulf of Amalfi. Every dish is taken care of in every detail, and the freshness of the fish is indisputable. The owner and the waiter are super attentive to our requests. Trust Romolo for the perfect choice and pairing of the right wine. He will know how to understand and satisfy your requests like few others in the square. Congratulations to the chef, especially for the grilling of the tuna which was impeccable. Absolutely recommended. Those who want to spend less instead of complaining about the service, just to complain about something, I recommend going to Salerno where you will find "all you can eat" at will, with impeccable service and low-priced "very fresh" fish. Keep it up. Thank you for everything. Greetings from Copenhagen.

We had dinner at Pesce d’Oro after waiting for a bus to Amalfi that never came. A local man named PASQUALE appeared from nowhere and invited us to give the restaurant a try. We did and were so happy to have been given the suggestion to eat there. Both the food and service were excellent and there was also a view of the mountains and the sea from our table. Pasquale also became a friend quickly and was always available to take us somewhere or pick us up if the bus was running late or if we missed the bus. We kept his phone number and used it on several occasionale while in Amalfi. If you eat at Pesce D’oro, which I recommend, make sure to ask for Pasquale’s number and call him and he will take care of you as if you were family!!

We stayed in the hotel on June 19 and 20 and ate in the restaurant on our last evening in Amalfi. I am uncertain why there are such low reviews for both the hotel as well as the restaurant. Both were exactly as described by the owner (which is a family owned and operated hotel and restaurant) and well exceeded our expectations for quality, professionalism, and overall friendliness. Breakfast on the balcony cannot be skipped, and the host was extremely generous with his time and attention to help us navigate to sites we wanted to see. As for the restaurant, the waiters were awesome and worked seamlessly as a team. There seemed to be an equal number of hotel guests and local patrons the evening we dined there. The convenient location, the view from our balcony, and the overall value for the prices we paid were all exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better start to the west coast part of our vacation. We recommend this property without any qualifications.

Excellent bed & breakfast. Service is friendly and efficient. Alessio makes you feel at home and treats you like family, but giving you personal space. Perfect combination. Rooms are clean, spacious, and efficient. Bathrooms are modern, spacious, and efficient. The views of the Amalfi Coast are to die for. Perfect for sunrise, moonrise, sunset, etc. Convenient location, quiet away from the caos, but close enough by a short bus ride or a walk. Terrace and garden setting for breakfast or to relax. Mountain views are spectacular. Highly recommend this place.

Alessio and the rest of the team at Pesce d'oro are fantastic hosts and I would recommend the hotel to anyone especially couples looking to explore the Amalfi coast. It is a half hour walk or short bus ride to the center of Amalfi, but there are at least 4 brilliant restaurants within a few minutes walk.
The rooms are clean and modern, with great sea views. We didn't have any issues during our stay. Breakfast is delicious. We would return.

Let me start by saying Alessio, Alessio, Alessio! This guy is amazing! I can't stress how wonderful the staff is and just how warm and caring they are. This is not something I would ever think to be top of the list when reviewing a hotel but they literally made all the difference. It's a family run operation with an incredible restaurant located right under the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and recently updated. The views are spectacular as well and behind the hotel is this amazing tiered garden which runs halfway up the hillside. The garden is owned and operated by the hotel and used for all the fresh food at the restaurant. It really is an amazing place. The one thing I should point out is it's about 2 miles away from the Amalfi center so whenever you need to get anywhere you have to either rent a taxi which is $45 or take the bus. The bus runs regularly so not an issue but just something to think about especially during peak season when it can often be full with riders so they may not stop. Offseason I'm sure it's no problem at all. I would HIGHLY recommend if you stay at this hotel to either rent a car or scooters. It really will make all the difference in the world. Finally the beach is tiny and overcrowded during peak season so don't plan on using it during July and August. It's also about a 1/2 mile walk to get to the entrance of the steps then another 1/4 mile of steps to get down to the beach. This is NOT an easy trek so if you are planning on going here for the beach then this is not the right place for you. I hate even listing these negatives because the place really is magical. If you are looking for a romantic place and don't want to be in the center of all the activity then you can't go wrong with B&B Al Pesce d'Oro. There's something special about this place that I can't explain. If you decide to go you will understand what I mean. Highly recommend!

Can't recommend this place enough- our room was a good size, comfortable and clean. We had a great size terrace with spectacular views on the coast. The B&B is just outside Amalfi but being beside a bus stop makes it very easy to get into town on the regular buses.

The people who run the B&B are incredibly friendly and provided great service during the stay. Breakfast is brought to the room each morning, plus they also helped us out with a lift from the ferry when stuck.

Restaurant downstairs is also fantastic. Would definitely come back here in the future!

One of the best pastas I had in Amalfi ( I order the tube pasta with red squid). My husband also loved his stuffed calamari and said it was divine. If I have time, I will be back to try other dishes for sure!

For the restaurant:
Great value for fresh seafood dishes. Delicious sea bass and moules appetizer. We came here twice in two days. Very kind staff.

For the hotel:
Room was superb and spotless. Thanks to Agatha, one of the employees there, for being so kind to us. She encouraged us to go to the lemon tree garden with spectacular views of the ocean to enjoy the perfect breakfast she had prepared. It was unforgettable. Agatha really made us feel so welcome. Martina at reception was also very responsive and helpful to our inquiries. This hotel went above and beyond. Thank you!
