Grand Hotel Sant'Orsola

The staff and location were both excellent. The room was normal for Italy with some antigue furniture and simple decorations. Our room had a balcony which allowed for breathtaking views over the sea and town below. The breakfast was amazing!

Had a wonderful experience because of the charming staff, beautiful background, and delightful food.
I was greeted by the owner i on arrival with a free bottle of wine and some local food, it was excellent.
They were also able to arrange a Vespa rental and taxi to the airport for me, everyone there was extremely helpful and kind.
The only down side is that it is I bit difficult to get to but worth the trek.

You will not find a place that is more full of genuine care and service to her guests, everyone will try to make your stay perfect. The owner Pepe is super caring and genuinely hospitable and will give you all the best tips for everything in the area, the views from the rooms are on the beautiful coastline as well as the breakfast and dinner area
Amazing decor and place for a beautiful wedding with all the romance you would like. There was a wedding during my stay, with rims of large beautiful flowers and roses along the balustrade outside and above and on the tables, white candles everywhere inside and outside very romantic atmosphere with lightworks to portray on a wall. On top of the amazing service there is a authentic cuisine that will make your mouth water, risotto with fish. Pasta with fish, i highly recimmend staying here with this view and all the kind people and owner who will make you feel right at home.

My wife and I stayed here to explore the Amalfi coast and it was wonderful. The staff were incredibly welcoming and their service was stellar, and the views from the hotel are incredible.

My only advice to travelers (this is general advice--not really to do with the hotel itself) is to be mindful of the logistical difficulty of traveling around Amalfi. The buses up and down the mountain can be intimidating for some and their schedules are less than ideal, especially if you're trying to line it up with the ferries between Amalfi, Posetano, etc. However, the staff at Sant'Orsola will give good advice about how to navigate through all of this.

Absolutely love this gorgeous hotel in Agerola. Carved into the very rockgoing face, this hotel has some stunning views of the Amalfi Coast, including Amalfi and Praiano. We stayed in the Quadruple Room which can accommodate 4 people and has a large balcony. The room was well maintained, comfortable and perfect for families.

Peppe, the owner is an absolute delight. Not only was he very helpful with our transportation needs, he was also very accommodating when we wanted to check out a couple of days earlier due to a change in travel plans.

Antonio, Miguel and Diego at the dining area downstairs are amazing too. Very helpful when it came to dealing with our vegetarian needs. Agerola is also about 4-5°F cooler than Positano, much quieter and much less expensive. There is a banquet hall attached to the property which was hosting a beautiful wedding while we were there.

Only drawback is that it’s an hour to Amalfi, Positano and Praiano. And if you want a late night out in Positano, make sure you make advance transport arrangements back to the hotel.

Highly recommended and would love to come back!

This hotel is located right on the coast, from the balcony you can see the Amalfi on the left and Positano on the right and the sea right below. Every one is so friendly and ready to help you to have a great time. We received very welcoming treatment and we thank them for their hospitality. I will gladly return in the future.

I had the MOST incredible stay here and will continue to go back every time I visit Italy. My bf and I were only suppose to stay at the Grand Hotel Sant'Orsola for 2 night, but ended up canceling our other Airbnbs and staying for an additional 7 nights. When I say this is the best hotel I mean it. Everyone that works there is so friendly and literally treat you like you’re their family. Not only is the staff outstanding, but the rooms and scenery are so breathtaking. The Grand Hotel Sant'Orsola should be a 5 star hotel because anything we needed they made sure we got it. They definitely go above and beyond in every way possible. I strongly suggest you stay here!!!

My husband and my brother-in-law with his wife stayed in this EXCEPTIONAL HOTEL on August 6, 2021; the hotel amenities surpassed our expectations--it was the BEST HOTEL that we have ever stayed in. The staff was super friendly and helpful; for example, my camera broke during our stay and the staff requested that I give it to them to have it fixed. The welcoming champagne in the rooms was refreshing! The rooms had doors opening out to their private balconies and the view was just breathtaking! I would definitely recommend this 5+ star hotel experience if you want to be WOWED and treated like royalty! The only problem I had was that my rented BMW was too big for the windy road driving to the top of the mountain to reach this GORGEOUS HOTEL!!! You will just love the view of Capri Island from this Hotel!

Lovely old hotel, full of charm. 1hr drive from most resorts however this is also a benefit. Great views of Amalfi coast!

Me and my friend stayed in the Hotel for 6 nights and we really enjoyed all of the time here. Doesn’t matter what we wanted or where we needed help or information, pasquale and pepe took care of it. The breakfast is really delicious and you can eat as much as you want. The rooms are very nice and relaxed and the view is just amazing. We had a perfect week here. Big thanks to Pasquale and pepe.

Great hotel. The owner and manager here is what makes the difference. They are engaged, made me feel like family. Help us with everything possible on our Italy vacation. I cant say enough about this hotel and the staff. As you can already see in multiple reviews the view is #1. The food here has been the best I've had in Italy, the staff has been the friendliest. This will be a trip I would never forget, thanks to the owner and staff. The rooms are nice spacious and comfortable compared to most of the hotels ive stayed at in Italy.

There is extra pillows and thicker blanket in the closet if you need. The town center which is a little walk away has gelato,pizza and anything else you might crave. Otherwise we never felt stressed out looking for anything because the owner helps us with anything we need. We even got help by getting a driver that drove us to Amalfi and picked us up at a planned time, which saved us from taking a bus. He will also take us to the airport in Naples when our trip is finished. Talk about service. This hotel is the best.

One of the nicest hotels I stayed at in Italy. Agerola is a cute little town! The views from this hotel are breathtaking and the staff are wonderful! Dinner and breakfast are good! Can't wait to come back!

Nice hotel, beautiful views, helpful staff.

There is one issue - not a fault of the hotel itself, so I haven't taken off a star for it - which is the location. It's a lot of work to get anywhere else from San Lazzaro. I would only really suggest this for people who like to sit on the balcony of their hotel, or for people who have a car rental.

Amazing views!!! The town of San Lazzaro is a sleepy off-the-path location with very very very cheap food. The restaurants have delicious food, and the local wine is not bad (at $5 a bottle, it's the best wine ever). Amalfi and Positano are a 45 minute car ride away, and you'll appreciate the quietness when you get back from battling all the crowds at the more populated towns. Grab a bottle of wine at a local store, some FRESH mozzarella and prosciutto, and then sit out on your balcony and look out on your amazing views. The pictures you take will not do justice to the views that this hotel has.

The most beautiful views in the area. Exquisite service. Seriously it’s like you’re being welcomed into a family. Incredible facilities too. Can’t recommend this place more!

A beautiful hotel in a charming quiet town. They took great care of us. If you plan to stay here have a car and a challenging drive.

This is a perfect place for a wedding, retreat or business event. The staff is wonderful. Easy to go all over the Amalfi coastline.
