La Dolce Vita in Tropea

The best accommodation I've ever stayed in! Claudia & the staff at La Dolce Vita are truly fantastic. They made us feel like family. They are always happy to help and genuinely care about each guest and their needs. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a large selection of options. The view from the terrace of the ocean and Santa Maria dell’Isola is absolutely breathtaking. We will be returning!

My husband and I spent 5 nights at La Dolce Vita a Tropea in mid September to end our two and a half week honeymoon across Italy. From the second we arrived to the moment we left, the entire staff treated us like family. Even before arriving, the team was happy to help organize excursions and arrange to meet us in the main Piazza to assist with our luggage. Everyday they offered advice on what to do and even made dinner reservations for us at restaurants that they recommended to us. This boutique hotel has everything to offer, including the most beautiful views of the coastline of Tropea. We enjoyed our daily breakfast and evening cocktails on the terrace with the most magnificent views, including the perfect sunsets. We would highly recommend this hotel and are already planning to return next year. Special thank you to Giuseppe, Simone and Clare for taking such good care of us! We can’t wait to see you all again next year when we return.

We have nothing but great things to say about La Dolce Vita! The rooms are great and the hotel has the best views in all of Tropea. Every single person that works there was so kind, friendly, and extra accommodating. They were able to recommend and reserve great restaurants for us, organized our car transfers, and helped to make our stay in Tropea extra special. The hotel was also perfectly located - a quick walk to the beach, stores, bars, restaurants, etc. Can’t wait to go back!

What an amazing hotel, in an amazing location, with amazing people. The views from the beautiful terrace are just fantastic. It was so nice to enjoy breakfast, aperitives (not at the same time!) and watch the sunset there. Claudia and the team were so warm and friendly - and so much fun; nothing was too much. I'll definitely be returning to Tropea and this will be the hotel I stay at. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week after touring the country for 10 days. We were beyond happy with our stay and the amazing staff. When we arrived we were treated with Prosecco while our bags were brought to our room. We LOVED that personal touch. I unfortunately woke up one morning sick and my throat was swollen. The staff were extremely helpful with finding me clinics and pharmacy’s in the area to get medicine. I was also blown away by the kindness of the staff who heard word of mouth that I was unwell and went out of their way the next couple of days to ask how I had been feeling. We absolutely loved how spacious our room was after hotel hopping for 10 days and the entire hotel was kept very clean. This hotel really makes you feel like you are at a resort especially with its iconic view. We cannot thank that staff enough for making us feel so loved and at home. Their breakfast was delicious, especially their meat and cheese croissants. I can’t wait to return next year to have my delicious cappuccino on the terrace! GRAZIE LA DOLCE VITA!

Federica and Maria were excellent hosts. They made our vacation memorable. Extremely friendly staff and kind. Always had a smile and willing to make your stay pleasant. The staff does make a difference. Definitely will be returning. Best hotel in Italy we stayed in Italy. Recommend this hotel. Great location! Staff were courteous and accommodating. Breakfast had a lot of variety and happy hour was very chill, watching the sunset. Please be aware that if you have a car, it will need to be parked about 5 minutes away. The first and last trip to the parking lot are included. Any other trip is 10 e each way.

La Dolce Vita a Tropea is a beautiful hotel that has been restored with wonderful attention to detail, in an unbeatable location. The terrace is such a lovely place to enjoy an aperitivo. The hotel’s best asset is the kind, welcoming and caring staff and owner. I am sure Maria Therese makes the best omelettes in Tropea! Grazie mille a tutti

We traveled by car from Rome, spent three days in Sorrento (too crowded and expensive, skip it), then to Ostuni in Puglia (charming, loved it), then Tropea! Completely blown away by the location of the hotel, its quaintness (six rooms), and va va voom, the view. My biggest disappointment was not spending more time there. The beach and swimming is some of the best in the world. Enjoy!

Had such a great time at Dolce Vita. The hosts were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The apartment is exactly what I hoped for and more; great furnishing, super convenient location and views to die for. Would definitely recommend for friends and families travelling in the area!

Everything I dreamed of and more. The staff was more than accommodating and helped us with our requests. Federica went above and beyond. Breakfast was perfect and you can’t beat the view !! Also right in town and close to the beach. We will be back.

One of a kind ! The hotel is located right in the centre of Tropea, surrounded by delicious traditional restaurants and bars. The main highlight is of course the large open air terrace with a stunning view of the Santa Maria dell‘Isola , where breakfast and evening aperitivo is served.

The staff is extremely professional and friendly and the rooms are very clean. We are definitely coming back to La Dolce Vita !

We had a great stay in La dolce vita. The location was great. The staff were incredible. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of choices. I will definitely recommend this place.

My fiancé and I stayed here for almost two weeks and honestly, i can only say great things about this hotel and Tropea.
Firstly; the location is just gorgeous, perfect balance between connected and isolated.
Secondly; cleanliness is spot on, my fiancé was pretty satisfied as she’s slightly OCD.
Last but not least, the staff are just top class, they did everything within reason to make sure we had the best time possible during out stay.
I would recommend it to anyone, especially young couples and I cant wait to come back next year.
