We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was neat and clean, location was great and the view from our room was fantastic. The front desk associates were very helpful and prompt. We had an early checkout and they offered to keep some breakfast ready for us. Also, we forgot some stuff in our room and the hotel staff was prompt in locating our stuff and communicating with us. The housekeeping service was amazing, they cleaned our room multiple times everyday. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

I did not stay in that hotel. So it's a review of the restaurant of this hotel. Most of the dishes are priced above 20euro, but with a magnificent view. The fried aubergine as seen on the picture is amazing! The cannelloni is also excellent. (Not shown in pic)

I stayed in Hotel L'Ancora for 5 days, and everything was amazing. The Hotel is cute, and have an amazing view. Staff was super accommodating, either is it for details to get there, or check-in / check out, and details considering all activities around, like boat shuttles to go to other islands or towns, renting scooter etc. Breakfast is simple with everything you need. I am not a super sweet tooth in the morning and I was pleased since they have also eggs, salmon, salad, yogurts, fresh cheeses, a lot of healthy options. The view from our room or the breakfast is unbeatable !! it is amazing to sip you morning coffee there, you are in paradise ! You will see a lot of tourists from outside the hotel trying to come get breakfast for the view but it is only for hotel guests and the included breakfast. Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner as well. When I read reviews of the hotel first it was a bit misleading because a lot of previous comments were rating the restaurant not the hotel. To my opinion both were amazing, but we did not try restaurant beside for included breakfast. Around there is so many options around for restaurants, there is a super hype bar right right next door call Franco's, cocktails are pricey ($20) but so worth it ! The view, the vibe, the music, it is to die for! Just expect some line up to get in. Also there is the famous Sirenus Hotel right next door which is know to be extremely pricey but the Ancora offer same service for more than half price. Cleaning ladies were so on point and nice. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel

Similar to other reviews, I was also a little hesitant due to the rating, but we had absolutely no issues and the best time. When we got there, they upgraded our room, and we had the best view! We didn't really eat at the restaurant except for breakfast (which was really good), but the hotel and staff were amazing! And it's more on the affordable end and in a fantastic location central to everything. Would definitely recommend this place!

I was a bit unsure about this place due to its low rating but I was pleasantly surprised. My friends and I lucked out and had one of the tables near the railing where you have an amazing view of Positano. The food was very good too and while it may not win any super special awards I don't think anyone would be disappointed by it. The best aspect of this place is the view and that is the reason many people go to Positano and would recommend it if you are in the area!

Great hotel, super nice staff and they had a mini fridge in the room to hold breastmilk. They had a true mini bar where other places in Italy we have found have not. They also were able to make accommodations in order to keep ice packs frozen for me when I needed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and the views were amazing.

There are many choices of hotels in Positano, and I had a hard time deciding. If you are on the fence between several, like I was, do yourself a favor and book this one now. We had an AMAZING time from the moment we arrived to the day we left. Nothing to say except that everything was perfect! The hotel is well located, the restaurant delicious, the room very comfortable and the staff is amazing! Thank you very much for making our honeymoon a once in a lifetime experience.

Had dinner here when we couldn’t be bothered lining up for the cocktail bar next door. Most delicious meal and best service from the staff. Stunning view. Such a great experience ❤

Best restaurant at Positano with stunning view. Amazing service, delicious food, all dishes above 20e. Open at 12am, be aware to arrive before open time so you will have view like this:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The view is absolutely amazing! The hotel room is older but well maintained. I felt as if I walked into perfectly kept history! The staff was business like but kind.

The restaurant was very good and the breakfast was outstanding! The dinner service was spot on and food was delicious.

This review is for the outdoor dining restaurant only. I stopped in on a hot day while my wife was shopping across the street. I was welcomed in and enjoyed a delicious Aperol spritz. I was offered a small snack of crisps. Later that evening I returned with my wife and my mother. We had no reservations and they only had 1 table available for a party of two. The staff sprang into action and rearranged some tables and chairs. Mama Mia! They prepared a very adequate table for 3 😁! The food, service, wine and atmosphere were great! I would give more that 5 stars if I could!

This is a review for the Hotel L’ancora restaurant, we did not stay in the hotel.
The food was really delicious and our best meal on the Amalfi coast! We enjoyed a meal here in April 2023. The kids loved their seafood pasta and fried calamari and we also had a fish main course and another pasta with vongole. Beautiful views and great service!

This review is r/t the restaurant. My friend and I had a long day trip from Amalfi and we were so tired and hungry and couldn’t find a place to eat. I was not feeling well due to the medication I took and my friend had a knee injury. Kind of desperate to eat asap and their restaurant was the nearest to the bus stop where we needed to hop in later that evening. I personally felt bad at first that the man in front of the restaurant, supposedly welcoming any guests, didn’t bother asking us if we want to dine in or not. Maybe because we were Asians? Or not the typical expensive-looking women? I understood that most places were pretty booked or reserved but we were just cool wherever we could sit and be able to order food. My friend had to really ask him awkwardly if there’s still an available table for the two of us. Apparently, there were still empty tables that weren’t reserved yet. Good thing that that the young server welcomed us and still offered a table after my friend had to ask him first. Anyhow, the food was great. The table was nice. The view (even if not directly by the beach/sea) was perfect! The sunset skies was so dreamy and the location was pretty breezy. We were amazed by Antonio, one of the staff. He was very accommodating, respectful (not rude at all) and professional and always on the lookout if someone needed them.

One thing, too, the guy receptionist offered me a little box of sewing kit even if I didn’t ask. He knew that I needed to go downstairs to the ladies’ room to fix my dress which I had no idea anymore on what to do. That was also a very nice gesture even if at first I felt belittled by the front man in the restaurant.

It’s a nice spot to dine in. By the road. Near the bus or taxi stop. Near the hotels. Just above the Positano beach. Easy reach. I just hope that everyone is like Mr. Antonio. I’d still give a 5 because of him and the food.

Very happy with our stay here. We booked a classic sea view room and had a beautiful patio with two loungers and a table with two chairs. Perfect location in Positano, right next to the famous Le Sireneuse at a fraction of the price.

Our stay at Hotel L'Ancora was incredible! I did so much research beforehand trying to find where to stay and for value & location and this one fit our wants and needs best. The management and staff were so kind, accommodating, and professional. Our luggage was delayed from the Naples airport for a couple days and Domenico (one of the managers) helped tremendously in getting information on when and how we could receive our stuff.

It's next door to the famous Franco's Bar (drinks are pricy but it was a Positano must!) and Le Sirenuse so the views were breathtaking. A short walk down to the beach and plenty of shops nearby so we didn't go far for anything!

We were in the Family Junior Suite which had *plenty* of space (two bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub) and a balcony that we spent most of our down time on. The AC was fabulous and the space was very clean. Breakfast was included in the price so we didn't have to go on the hunt for a meal every morning - very convenient and the staff couldn't have been nicer to us. Also, there is an elevator so we didn't have to carry everything up and down stairs, although you will do plenty of walking up and down stairs in Positano as is!

The one thing that I felt was not advertised correctly was the allowance of using the pool at the sister hotel Covo dei Saraceni. We saw online (and from reviews) that we could utilize it but we went and were told that it wasn't available to us. Perhaps this was something that was done before COVID times and they stopped offering it? So, a bummer there but they do have a restaurant and gelato shop that are open to the public. Right next to other popular restaurants near the water!

I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay in Positano. We were there for 5 nights and felt safe, comfortable, and like we got our money's worth. We miss it already!

This is review just for their restaurant that is available for non guests as well.
The view is amazing! The staff was very kind. Food was one of the best that we ate during our two week vacation in Italy. Recommended!

This place worth 6 stars! The location, the view, the cleanliness of the room, comfy bed, and friendless of staffs.

We stayed in the hotel for one night in mid April 2022 - Staffs (Vincenzo and Kelly) were super friendly and polite. They help us arranged car parking and also dinner appointment of other restaurant.

The view is amazing! This hotel is just next to the Francis Bar. You got similar view(or maybe better) from your room, hotel , and also the breakfast area. Cant ask for more compared to the price of similar other hotel in Positano.

Breakfast was good and have different choices. Staffs served breakfast were friendly and quick in response. No offensive to others leaving low review about unpleasure experience, I would say maybe restaurant improves since then. Do not miss this place out. It worths a stay or a meal.

I would return for sure in future.

Absolutely loved the hotel! We booked standard room and it was very spacious with a beautiful balcony that had stunning views of Positano. The furnishing was quite basic though but it didn’t really matter. My only complaint is that there is no iron provided so if your clothing is wrinkled you have to have a maid press it for you for 5 euro charge per item. It’s not just the cost but inconvenience of waiting for your clothes to be ready. I really think that the hotel needs to rethink the policy; it’s not much to ask for especially when we pay close to $500 or more per night and it will add to the comfort of the guests.
Breakfast is served on the patio and you have those beautiful views again while enjoying your morning cappuccino.
Hotel staff is very courteous and helpful; room was cleaned twice a day.
Location is the best as well, right next to Franco’s bar which offers beautiful views and great cocktails. Beach and most restaurants are walking distance as well.
Overall, great one week long stay at hotel Ancora and I highly recommend it to everyone.
