Baglio Amalfi Italian Bistrò Cucina , vino&drinks

10/10 - the service, food, atmosphere, wine selection, views - everything here is outstanding and feels so incredibly special and romantic! My boyfriend surprised me with the private balcony (and a proposal) all of which was made so perfect and so special for us!! I can’t express how beautiful the table was decorated, how delicious ALL the food was, how incredible the views are! I could go on forever but I’ll just say this, you need to eat here, it’s a special little gem in Amalfi and we can’t wait to come back!! Also a huge thank you to Albino and Serena for making our special night even more special - you two are truly incredible!!

Unforgettable Dining Experience in Amalfi!

Hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in Amalfi. From the moment we arrived, the owner Albino made us feel incredibly welcome. His attentiveness and extensive knowledge of wines added a special touch to our evening. Albino’s passion for hospitality is evident; he genuinely wants his guests to have a memorable experience.

The culinary genius behind the delicious food is Albino’s wife, Serena. Every dish we tried that night was nothing short of amazing. We began our meal with a unique tuna appetizer featuring four different kinds of tuna, each offering a delightful burst of flavors.

For our main courses, we enjoyed perfectly crafted Ravioli and an exquisite lobster spaghetti, paired with a bottle of wine recommended by Albino. His wine choice complemented our meal beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The restaurant’s setting is equally remarkable, offering a mesmerizing view overlooking the Amalfi coast. It’s an intimate venue with limited seating, so I highly encourage making reservations as spots fill up quickly.

Overall - Maximum recommendation

We were staying next door at the Borgo Santandrea and wanted another food option so we went over here on foot. Luckily they had a table open and we were able to spend our last night in Italy here. Restaurant is owned by a husband and wife (she’s the chef). Serena does all of the cooking and it’s obvious that she cares and puts her passion into the food.

Location - would be a worthwhile drive for most and if you are staying next door then this is a must. Also I found it funny that we had a sunset booked another day at another place but the timing worked out that we got to watch the full moon rise here, which was even better.

Ambiance - this isn’t some Michelin star fancy place where they come by and measure the distance between the knife and spoon on your plate before you get there. It’s real.

Wine - the wine list here is great. Albino, the owner, definitely knows his stuff on the wine front.

Food - amazing. We also ate at lo scoglio (which I would also recommend) and had one of the same dishes (lobster pasta) at both locations and my wife and I agreed, Baglio was better. In fairness to Scoglio we didn’t try their signature zucchini pasta so can’t speak to that.

Dessert - we had the tiramisu, which we did find to the tiramisu 2.0 that we were told it would be.

Experience - fantastic. Much like Dakota Fanning when she was here filming, I would also eat here every day if we had stopped here first. We talked to Albino and Serena a bit. They shared their story, and it made for a special experience for us. Love this place. You should go.

Less than a ten minute stroll from our room at Hotel Belvedere and from the crowds of Amalfi sits a great restaurant perched on the cliff side. A husband-wife team delivers the most delicious meal we had in two weeks of Italian travel. From the wines to the apps to the entrees and desserts, a remarkable experience. We cannot wait to go back!

Absolutely wonderful. We came here after proposed and she said “yes”. The incredible views. The choice of foods and the great wine. The owner treated us like family and made so many great recommendations. What else can I say? You won’t be disappointed.

Our waiter, the owner, was very polite and prompt. The food, cooked by his wife was so delicious, even the neighborhood cat couldn’t keep himself away from the wonderful aroma - no matter how many times they tried to shoo him out! The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the view from the lower balcony breathtaking. The prices were in line with an elevated dining experience. Ben fatto, Baglio!

This was our best meal in Italy. Period. There are many amazing views of the Amalfi Coast but a window side seat over looking the water....beneath the mouth of a giant cave in the mountain....and also with private balcony to juts out over the water were stunning!!! The food was 100/10!! Drinks were also 100/10. Husband and wife run the whole show here, Albino takes care of you in the in house and Serena is an amazing chef!! The sauce on the fish we had....we wish it came with a straw! So good!!

Wonderful food! Owners are very friendly and welcoming. View is spectacular - entire combination makes this a really excellent choice! I ordered local specialty ravioli - explosion of flavor from cheese, lemon curd, mint was really wonderful. Tiramisu for dessert was a great choice too - the long lasting flavor was unique and very enjoyable! Thank you for creating such delightful experience!

This is a family owned restaurant with a very refined look. The owner and his wife are friendly and gracious hosts who gave us a table just walking in after a party backed out. They are experts in Italian Cuisine and I can confidently say this is one of my top 10 dining experiences ever. In my opinion they are especially good at seafood dishes. There is balcony that gives you an extraordinary view from the heights of the area.

This was the best dining experience I had in Italy. Not only were the views breathtaking, the food and service were even better. If staying in Amalfi and wanting a quiet, delicious, and romantic dinner- go here! You will not regret it.

Eat at this restaurant. If you don’t eat here you are missing one of the best dining experiences on Amalfi. The food is excellent, the location perfect. A relaxing and very romantic place. Unhurried service and a personal touch. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Baglio Bistrò offers a beautifully relaxing dining experience that I highly recommend. Both food and presentation was delicious, fresh, unique and delivered on our expectations (which were high after reading other reviews). The view was breathtaking and the service was divine. We tasted our way through over 7 plates of food and apps and were in awe of each dish. Enjoy :)

Delicious food & wine worthy of the price and view. The lemoncello is homemade and tastes out of this world - my wife & I bought a bottle of it after having it with dessert and un cafe (espresso). Relaxed, fine-dining without a dress code. The atmosphere is very intimate, and you can wind up talking for hours into the night!!!

Will definitely come back again on my next visit to Almalfi coast.

I had dinner here. Cozy restaurant with great cliffside views. I recommend getting there early before the sunset, so you can get a table next to the windows. The restaurant is family owned. We met the husband managing the restaurant and providing service up front & after complimenting the food, he let us know it is his wife that is cooking the food. They were very attentive.
The restaurant is located near the edge of the cliff on the Amalfi coast. There are stairs leading to some stairs outside of the restaurant. It leads to a small platform before where you can get some more unobstructed views of the coast. Highly recommend.

Most delicious food we had on our trip! The quality for the price is very good having in mind that you are at the amalfi coast. The bruschetta were super delicious and so we’re the ravioli with lemon stuffing! So so good, I would say the best pasta I ever had and I have been to all parts of Italy. View must be beautiful during the day, we were there at night which is nice and romantic but I guess during the day with the view of the sea it is even nicer. Definitely go there you won’t regret it :)

One of the best restaurants I've been too. Gem on the Amalfi coast. Amazing location with 180 degree view of the coast. Only three employees that I saw, and only one in the front of the house. Amazing what they get done, while still being personable. Great wine selection and they allow you to buy wine bottle for take away.
