Starace Guesthouse

We started our vacation at Palazzo Starace. We were so happy to arrive and relax after the long flight. A wonderful location close to the walking and shopping streets. Great breakfast and our room was wonderful. Thank you for a great stay.

Great location, right at the heart of city center. Friendly staff and attentive, made sure our requests were met and the morning staff took extra steps to remind the evening staff to help us when we returned to hotel. Top notch cleanliness. Great breakfast view by the balcony. Room is a little small but ok for this price point and star rating. Need to climb stairs, recommend the weaker knees to request lower floor. Have a small lift to carry your luggages up.

Very nice hotel in the city square. If you’re a light sleeper it can be a bit noisy but that’s to be expected for the convenience of the location and being on the main shopping and restaurant street. The breakfast was very good and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

2nd time staying here. Rooms are very stylish and pretty. The staff is wonderful! Breakfast is delicious, with eggs prepared however you like. Great view from breakfast patio. The location is convenient to every place you'd want to go in Sorrento.

Amazing hotel with a super lovely staff, especially Maria who provided great service humor at the hotel's delicious buffet style breakfast! The location is very convenient as it is within a 10 minute walk of the beaches and the coast, many delicious food places, a supermarket, liquor stores, the bus/train station, and plenty of shops.
If you are looking for a nice hotel to spend the night at and enjoy a nice breakfast in before heading out to enjoy the day this place is lovely and highly recommended!

We've stayed here for one night only, room was clean and comfy, you get complementary drinks in the mini fridge and staff is very friendly. Location is perfect, right in town centre, minutes away from anything you'd like to see in Sorrento. Great breakfast also! Thank you.

The location is incredibly central and the staff is so kind and accommodating. The rooms are smaller but clean and everything you need with nice and big bathrooms with a good hairdryer. The breakfast spread is delicious, and the staff will make you whatever coffee you’d like or fresh scrambled eggs. There’s a lovely patio to sit on with a view of the Main Street. I’d definitely stay again!

The friendliest staff, nice and clean room, central location. Couldn’t have asked for more. The girls on reception were so kind and helpful. The breakfast was so nice everyday, offered coffee and eggs as well if we wanted. Room and bathroom was big enough for four girls sharing, it was cleaned daily as well which was appreciated immensely. Couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re staying in Sorrento.

Perfect location near city and access to everything. Great hosts and staff. Very accommodating to our 5 person family. If with kids, request a room on upper floors if possible. We were near breakfast area and noisy street that we wished we were up on floors. Great room and highly recommend this hotel.

A great inn. The women who manage the Starace are friendly and helpful as well as welcoming. Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view of the evening passigiata. Breakfast was a wonderful way to start our day.

Amazing stay, couldn't ask for more. Perfect location in Sorrento, very friendly staff, especially Sabrina who greeted us when we arrived. Best breakfast that we had in Europe - First off, they had bacon. They also enthusiastically make sure you are enjoying the food and have sufficient caffeine. They gave good advice on local attractions and weather. The value was too good.

We arrived at the evening of the new year's, just before the beginning of the celebrations, and were warmly welcomed. We got a sweet room with a blue theme which we liked a lot.
Everything was clean, the comfortable bed freshly made and there were slippers to avoid walking directly on the floor.

The place offers a wonderful continental breakfast with plenty of options including cereals, pastry, bread, bacon, eggs, cheese, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice, butter, jam and many more. However, I don't eat gluten or sugar, so they went to the nearest restaurant and actually got a plate of vegetables just to make sure I have enough food!

In addition, there was a problem with the heating system of the water on the floor, which can totally happen and is not their fault, so they transferred us to another room which was spacious and with a king sized bed.

The staff was also super helpful with tips and information about the attractions of the area, where to go and how to avoid tourist traps.
We felt that they really cared about our experience and wanted us to have the best possible stay.

We definitely did, and highly recommend this lovely place and its superb hospitality. Thank you so much for a fantastic visit! :)

Note about the parking: there's no parking in the hotel because it's inside the alley, but they have an agreement with Central Parking, (5 minutes walk, 18 Euros for 24 hours) which is safe and provides a shuttle if necessary.

Hotel was very very nice. It is very centrally located and is easy to get anywhere in town. Many great restaurants nearby. Accommodations are quite nice. It is very spaceous. We had three guests and there was room to spare. Room had a kitchen and washing machine. The staff and owner were very nice from the moment that we walked in. We arrived early and they welcomed us happily. They even made us breakfast. They held our bags all day while we explored the city. The morning breakfast and cappuccino was top notch. I would recommend the Starace Guesthouse to anyone.

People working here are amazingly​ mannered and kind, they speak incredible English and couldn't be happier to help. Rooms are beautiful and we were lucky to get one looking straight onto the street with a veranda. Breakfast is continental with fresh fruit and a few other foods if asked for. The mini bar in the room is complementary. Overall​ an incredibly beautiful and awe inspiring place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved it at Palazzo Starace! Perfect location, breakfast was amazing and everyone there were so very nice. Since we had a very early checkout they gave each of us a breakfast to go the night before. When I return to Sorrento, I will definitely be staying there.

Had a great stay here just over a week ago. Nice rooms, quiet, clean and comfortable, very friendly and welcoming staff, and great breakfasts. Would recommend if you come and stay in Sorrento!

e ended up booking our stay last minute as we decided to not stay in Naples when we arrived. We are so thankful that there was a room for us here. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and this place did set a standard for us. The key to our trip ending so wonderful was Alessandra. She was so responsive, helpful, and kind which made our experience so much more enjoyable. The room was nice but a little tight fit (room with a king size bed) The air conditioner worked extremely well. The location was close to all the tours we took (2 min to 12 min walk depending on your tour). It was vey easy to get to them. It is also in the heart of all the shops and food. Breakfast was good. There are stairs to have to go up and down to the rooms which was ok and we are thankful that there was a lift to take our luggage up for us. Overall, service was amazing and we loved our stay here.
