La Fenice

La Fenice is the perfect place to stay in Positano. Giulio, Giacomo and Constantino are extremely helpful and kind in organizing experiences/travel plans on the Amalfi coast and are very friendly. The property itself is very very beautiful- our rooms were spacious and had a great view overlooking the sea. All of the shared spaces (breakfast balcony, pool lounge) provide stunning overlooks to the sea and coast. The private beach is great and not crowded, and there are plenty of beach supplies provided (umbrellas, chairs, kayaks, pool noodles etc.) The sea and pool were warm enough for swimming even in late September. The walk to town is about 5-10 minutes and is filled with beautiful sights. By far one of our favorite parts of the stay was the delicious and fresh food from Positano Farm! There are lots of stairs but that is to be expected for anywhere in Positano, and are definitely worth it. Thank you for the wonderful stay- 10/10 recommend!

My wife and I, recently stayed at La Fenice for our Honeymoon on a recommendation from a good friend. La Fenice did not disappoint! A stunning location a little walk from Positano with its own private beach and pool. Away from the crowds and posers you get to enjoy the Amalfi coast in a true Italian sense. Hosted by Giulio in the mornings at breakfast, he had great advice of trail running in the hills and food choices, then entertained by Giacomo for lunch by the pool, with great tips for food and nightlife.
We could not have had a more enjoyable stay and will hope to return again in the future with our family.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Sprawled over a cliff within five minutes walk into town.

Accommodation has an amazing salt water pool and private beach. Accommodation appears varied with top notched villas and suites. We stayed in a family room above the main dining area.

Views are amazing down to the water and side of Positano, but note part of the town view is blocked due to the cliff. However you see enough and all of the bay.

Breakfast is plentiful and great opportunity to meet others.

Best part is the beautiful family. They are engaging and organise anything you need. Beautiful people!

Our welcome by Giulio, Constantino Jackand family was wonderful. They looked after us so well and made us feel very much at home. The breakfasts included were amazing and varied each day. The lunches by the pool also great.
Great location and views. Positano is so busy but this little splice of paradise is idyllic. A lot of steps to contend with but helps to walk off the wonderful food and wine We will recommend to anyone.

Amazing place to stay just outside of town in Positano. The family is so welcoming and helpful with their recommendations in and around Positano. The rooms are basic, but clean and everything you need with incredible views of the coast. Delicious food from their farm for breakfast and lunch, amazing pool and private beach access. Be ready to walk up a lot of steps, but that’s to be expected in Positano. Can’t recommend this beautiful place enough!

First off the room we had was spacious, clean with a beautiful view. The service here was amazing. Julio and Jacamo and their father are amazing hosts. Julio serves a wonderful breakfast with an incredible view everyday of your stay and jacamo is a great entertainer and serves a wonderful lunch down by the pool everyday. Don’t bother going into town for lunch, just relax here and order pool side.

The location is incredible as it’s just a couple minute walk from the edge of town. It’s a little more peaceful here away from the hustle and bustle of all the daily tourists coming to visit. Location allows for east access to get into town for dinner or catching any ferries.

From the second we stepped on their property we were greeted with friendly faces to help us with our bags, to staying open so we could eat lunch by the pool, offering to set up boat trips, offering restaurant recommendations, helping with reservations, and setting up luggage transfers; the service was more than I’d ever expect. The quality of service and attentiveness is like no other! This is not even commenting on the gorgeous backdrop this B&B provides. An absolute hidden gem of Positano and the Almalfi coast! We will definitely be back! Pictures do not do it justice. A gorgeous spacious pool and private beach with chairs are more than you can ask for in this location! Constantino and his family are absolute perfection! Lots of stairs but that’s Positano in general, I’d consider it helpful for all the delicious food you will want to try! If you are looking for a place to stay in Positano, look no further! La Fenice was our favorite spot on our whole trip to Italy--beautiful, quiet and convenient location and great amenities. Costantino, his sons, and the staff are the best. Giulio went above and beyond to coordinate with local businesses on our behalf and arrange transportation. The breakfast is so good--we loved the local produce (some of their own!) and variety of pastries, eggs, meats each day. The views from the terrace, rooms and pool are spectacular.

The family that owns the Hotel are very nice and helpful people. The hotel it self is amazing with a breathtaking views to the ocean. Positano city center is 10min walk away, so the location is prime. We stayed at the room next to the saltwater pool and really really enjoyed our stay! Breakfast is amazing! They mostly use their own local products from their garden. Highly reccomended! P.S. Beer was cold and tasty :)

Undeniably the best BnB stay we’ve ever had. The entire Mandara family is so welcoming and kind. Hospitality is amazing. The salt water pool is unreal. The private beach is unheard of in the area. It’s quiet, which is a plus as you go in and out of the main town area. Rooms are airy, bright and have beautiful sea views. Ask the family for dinner recs! Next time we go (which we will be, I’m certain this is the best place to stay on the entirety of the Amalfi coast for the price) we look forward to taking a boat excursion from Giulio. Enjoy!

Amazing place. For quite a lot less than the 4 star hotels in town you get an ideal place to stay in Positano. We requested a room with a view when we made our booking and we were not disappointed. That view was the highlight of the trip and we had to drag ourselves out of the room every morning.

Some other highlights were:

- 10 minute walk to town
- Great breakfasts every morning. Yummy, filling and changing every morning.
- Spacious and clean room.

The main reason to book with La Fenice is the service. Giulio and his father, Constantino; were always friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange transport to the B&B, tours, tips on what to do around town, book restaurants and just answer any query we had in a friendly way.

We hope to go back to Positano at some point and we'll definitely be staying at La Fenice.

PS: the only things to be aware are that the pool is not open the whole year and that there are a lot of stairs (although they carry your luggage for you when you arrive and leave). But stairs are a part of everything in Positano

Incredible experience here at La Fenice.

This property boasts some of the best views in all of positano with its own private beach and access to kayaks.

10 min walk from the town with lovely fresh breakfasts prepared each morning - a lot of which was grown on the property.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 7 nights and it was all we could have asked for.

Constantino, Jaccopo and Julio were always so helpful and considerate.

Truly loved this place. The owners and family were so welcoming and friendly. The views from the balcony/deck are stunning. And the breakfast was delicious. And it was perfect that we were able to walk into Positano from here. Would definitely go back. Photo is from walk to town.

La Fenice is paradise. We were warmly welcomed by Giulio who was always available for advice and help booking restaurants and excursions. Our room was amazing with its own balcony with 180 degree views of the sea. It was a magnificent view to wake up to each morning. At the private beach there are lounges and kayaks for guests to use, we leisurely kayaked into town. The breakfasts each morning were brilliant with produce from their own gardens and the lunches by the pool were also delicious. We highly recommend La Fenice. Thank you Constantine and Giulio for an amazing holiday we will definitely be back.

Stayed there last year in August. There simply aren’t enough words to do this place justice. The hospitality of the hosts is very pleasant and the fresh fruit every morning as part of the breakfast is delicious, particularly the figs!!! Great coffee too. My room had a spectacular view and the private beach is gorgeous. I definitely want to return at some point and, God willing, sooner rather than later.

An unforgetible view through Positano and the Amalfi coast. The privat beach is a pearl and offers silence and for those who like - rocks to jump in the sea. The host family Francesco his wife and the sons welcome you from heart very warm and friendly.

The best, most beautiful place my husband and I have ever stayed at. The family who owns the bed & breakfast were incredible - from the amazing, scenic breakfasts to helping us get reservations for Da Adolfo, a super exclusive beach club - they were nothing but fantastic. We've recommended this spot to everyone we know and are already counting down the days until we get to go back. P.S. we especially loved all of the animals and beautiful plant life!

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon. This place is fantastic for the value, location and property. The property has a pool, multiple sitting areas on different levels, a hammock and a private beach! The staff are lovely. They went above and beyond with anything we needed. Because this hotel is located on the side you are able to see the sunset over the mountains 😍 Highly recommend. We only wish we had more time. Thank you so much to all the staff ❤ Great end to our honeymoon. We will be back.

My eleven-year-old granddaughter and I stayed at La Fenice for five nights recently and it was outstanding. The views are stunning; the food is wonderful; the facilities immaculate and aesthetically pleasing; but most of all, our hosts were generous, kind and friendly! This was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had! Thank you so much! Grazie!

If you go to Positano - stay here!! During our trip to the Amalfi coast this was our favorite place we stayed! Costantino and his family are truly wonderful hosts. The breakfast and lunch was so delicious! The view here is insane and you must see it with your own eyes during sunrise/sunset. The pool and private beach are lovely. The location is great too, not a far walk from town. Listen to Costantino and get a porter if you arrive by ferry!! We did not realize how many steps we would have to carry our luggage up in town - talk about a workout! Although it was worth it once we got to the beautiful oasis of La Fenice. I could go on and on about the wonderful stay here. Truly an amazing experience and we can't wait to go back one day! :)
