A large selection of local food and wine, great sandwiches made with care and patience and plenty of ingredients even when the shop is busy, fresh fruit full of flavour, all you need before or after enjoying a day at the beach.

They make you feel taken care of and understood even if you don’t speak Italian.

Lovely local market with delicious local food. We been visiting this place every day for ingredients for breakfast. Owner very friendly all staff speaking good English.

It's difficult to find good homemade traditional bread in Italy.
But the Mini Market on Via Umberto in Tropea Italy sells a fantastic homemade sourdough bread which is baked in a wood oven. (pane cotto a forno legna)
This bread is the best bread that I have tasted in the 5 times that I have travelled to Italy.

Open from 7 to 23, a big choice of meat and cheese! Fresh bread, panini on request…what else could you ask from a small market?

Absolutely amazing place to take away a sandwich for lunch!! When you enter this little shop, you need to go all the way back where you’ll find the owner ready to prepare the perfect sandwich for you with local products! Not only the products are fresh and good, but the portion is also very big, at a very honest price (11€ for 2 massive sandwich) and you can choose anything you want in it! I can only recommend that place which is authentic, fast and show the real colors of Italy!

It was the best sandwich ever. I can't be happier.Super delicious and fresh. We asked for suggestions, and the nicest lady there made two different sandwiches with local meats/cheese, and it was just yummy yummy yummy

An excellent market! We stopped in to have them make us sandwiches for a day trip. The prosciutto melts in your mouth and the mozzarella is delicious. The bread selection is extensive and also very good! We went back the next day for more sandwiches. A very large sandwich with everything your hearts desire that is enough to cut in two for two people was 7 Euros!
What a bargain for high quality deli foods! Massimo himself is there to wait on you and recommend his specialties. There are so many fresh toppings to add to your sandwich. Massimo speaks perfect English and is so helpful. Thank you Massimo for such a great market!!

The Paninis here are great, quality ingredients and fair price. Best in Tropea! The service is great. Mossimo makes you feel like a friend.

The store is in central location to pick up anything you need or ingredients to make a good meal. Fresh veggies, the tomatoes and basil are amazing flavor. Selection of wines, cheese, even things like shampoo, soap etc.

What really makes this mini market a gem is the owner. The Italian man preparing the paninis made us feel welcome in Tropea through his way of conducting himself. Tropea is otherwise not so "muslim-friendly"

Wonderful service and lots of variety. Prices are fair and they seem to be always open! They are patient with tourists and helpful in selecting cheeses and meats to make tasty lunches. Plus they have a fun selection of ever changing fruit & candy to keep the kids happy!

Teresa is my favorite person in the shop - sorry not sorry Massimo! :D For over a week I was her first customer every day and although it was early in the morning, she was always super nice to me. She talked mostly in Italian and me in English, but we always found a way to get my pane and 'nduja. See you next year! :)

I went to buy a sandwich thinking that they were already assembled and it turns out that the lady prepared it at that moment, a delight!! On top of that, everyone is very friendly. I recommend 😊

The best grocery store in Tropea. It might look small but it is incredibly well stocked and has everything you need, also great local produce and fresh fruit & vegetables. It's opening hours are generous (open until well into the night) and eventhough it is busy at times, the employees are super friendly and helpful.

We went here daily to get our fruit, vegetables and snacks for the day. The freshly made sandwiches are great for lunch at the beach! Massimo was always very friendly and helpful.
