La Pergola

We dined here on our first night and had to return because the food was outstanding. The pastas were delicious on both visits, and the service was exceptional. Despite not speaking Italian, a young waitstaff member ensured we were well taken care of.

Today, We were the first guests at 12pm and were greeted lovely. The cook came personally to welcome us and recommended us the pasta alla tropeana, which were amazing!
Even though we didn't order it, we also got fried 'Cipolla di Tropea' for starters. 😍
At the end, we had tartofu for dessert, which rounded off the visit!
Very fair prices, can totally recommend La Pergola to anybody 🙂👍

Best fish restaurant in Tropea and probably one of the best in Calabria. Fantastic, I would give 10 stars if I could. Chef Pasquale is awesome. He walks by the tables to make sure everyone is satisfied. Service is top notch.

After several poor experiences in the tourist area of Tropea we were recommended to try La Pergola. Best seafood place in Tropea! Avoid the tourist traps in the center of town and venture the 10 minute walk.

Very very nice restaurant on the side of the old city. The menu is focused on seafood, the kitchen produces nothing less than excellent dishes that make you wish you can mane one more dish. The chef (also the owner) comes to each table personally and inquires whether the guests are fully satisfied with what they become, advises on dishes depending on guests preferences and makes sure you have the best possible experience at his place.
Highly recommended for seafood lovers.

Great purely Italian restaurant! Lovely interior, very good service and fantastic food. The atmosphere is very frendly. The chef is talking with almost all guests asking whether everything is OK. There are many local Italians and other owners of restaurants from Tropea are coming here. So much space inside and quite large parking space outside.

It’s a best restaurant in whole Tropea

Best meal we have had in Italy! Recommended by a local, we wish we had found this the first night! We would have been back every day.

I have enjoyed one of the best spaghetti ever I have tried, reach in flavours, fresh and creamy. Excellent place, affordable prices.

Ate here two out of three nights in Tropea. Fresh produce cooked with care - the fresh seafood used in dishes is on display. The fileja pasta with seafood is a standout and a must try. Generous grilled seafood platter, and many other traditional dishes on offer. The service is very friendly and attentive.

If you happen to stumble upon this restaurant in your search, you are lucky and you must go! During our stay in Tropea, we went back multiple times and tried all of chef Pasquale’s recommendations. Try the fish of the day (for me it was the grilled tuna), the pasta, and the focaccia with Tropean onions.
Aside from the food, go for the wonderful welcoming ambiance of this family run resto.
It was so lovely to discover and I can’t wait to go back!

Great see food antipasti and pasta!

It’s worth the 7 minute walk out of the city centre for their amazing Spaghetti al Riccio. The cook came over personally to ask if we were pleased with our choice. She explained that they were freshly fished by their own fishermen and the best time to eat them is in July. It’s not for the faint-hearted though...it really does smell of the sea.

Great food! Food took some time to come out but overall very nice!
