We found this cafe after discovering the nearby restaurant was closed for midday - like many places in the area.

The service was excellent and David went out of his way to ensure we made the correct choices - allowing us to sample the granite. The brioche to accompany the granite was of good quality.

The coffee machine was of a traditional style and requires a certain expertise to create the perfect coffee - the cafe ristretto was delicious.

Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone in this local area or who is visiting.

We stopped in for an early lunch and enjoyed a fresh salad and beautiful charcuterie board (tapas) with a nice variety of cheeses, meats, breads, olives and couscous. All of the food was high quality, fresh and delicious. Cappuccino was great too. The proprietors were kind and attentive. We recommend.

We arrived at 4pm for lunch. There was just one person assuring the service for the all place. In the midst of handling other clients, the employee has prepared for us a pasta pistachio which was delicious. Bravo for the flexibility, service and for making our late lunch possible.

Went here based on other good reviews. We were not disappointed. Friendly owners, good food, good prices. Even the gelato was great (nocciola).

OK, this place we found by accident, but it was possibly the best dinner we had in Modica. The owner is very friendly and the service is great. All food is prepared with premium quality ingredients which youncsn say when you taste it. It has a quiet and bright atmosphere, while the wine offered is locally produced and very good overall. Even though we had just light dinner, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something less touristic.

I love the spaghetti with crispy pork , however I don’t know the exact name of it

Couldn’t possibly find a more hospitable and sensible business owner than David. We asked if he served a warm breakfast and rather than turn us aside he broke pattern and made us some eggs. The accompanying croissants were perfect. Along with a wide selection of good tea and steamed milk. Great stop in Modica.

We went on a Sunday evening and the service took only 15 minutes. Buffalo sandwiches were great and we enjoyed the chicken croquettes too. Outdoor seating and good prices

Every morning while visiting beautiful Modica, it was our great pleasure to be greeted by David and his delicious cappuccino on his beautiful Wega machine. His cafe is clean, bright and very pleasant place to sip our coffee. David’s coffee shop is unlike any other; it’s like having a personal friend make you a great cup of coffee.
We wish him the best. So if you are in Modica and love coffee, make your way to Pausa Modica.

We hebben hier heerlijk geluncht met een plank met lokale producten, goeie koffie en zelfgemaakte zoetigheden. De gastheer was heel vriendelijk en nam de tijd om ons suggesties te doen en uit te leggen wat hij kon serveren. Een leuke ervaring!

Scoperto per caso, piacevolmente sorpresi per servizio, preparato un pranzo in pochissimo tempo e delizioso, molto cortesi i proprietari.

Wunderbar für eine geschmackvolle Mittagspause! Feines Antipasti und Weiteres je nach dem, was gerade gekocht wird. Und dazu noch sehr guter Kaffee! Zuvorkommende und sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Ansonsten trifft man hier vor allem Einheimische:) Wirklich zu empfehlen!
