Via Crucis or the way of the cross is a beautiful moderate hike which features the Station of the Cross of Jesus Christ. The views of Mediterranean Sea and the town will just get better as you reach the top. Definitely worth the hike. You wouldn’t feel guilty having another scoop of gelato!

Amazing, absolutely rewarding hike! Try it right before the golden hour.
It takes about 20-25 mins to get upstairs.

Definitely worth it! It was very hot when I went so I went at 8pm and it was perfect.

Beautiful walk up to reach the castle and chapel up above. As the path winds up you see the stations of the cross and great views of Taormina. Probably too steep for the elderly.

La via crucis di Taormina è un percorso apparentemente difficile, ma alla portata di tutti. Trattasi di una scalinata lunga circa 700 metri con 100 metri di dislivello positivo. Alla fine della scalinata è presente una fontana e una panchina dove ristorare e ammirare il paesaggio.
