2024 update: The best pizza globally! I'm in love with it and can't wait to have it again! I have travelled world again and it didn't make me change my opinion. I would like to mention that sercowe of Saro is excellent he still remembers me after a year. Waiting time is extremely short and house wine is so delicious … I will be back !!! 2023: I don’t know what I like more service or food. Pizza, salads, deserts are so delicious. This is the only one my favorite food place in Modica i never leave disappointed. Thank you!

After our tour of Mount Etna whilst on our way back to port to head back to Malta, we stopped in Modica. Enter La Perla. The staff were incredibly accommodating to our needs as we had a limited amount of time until the bus was to leave. We sat outside on a mild November evening and were treated like royalty. This Coloradan will always remember the Sicilian hospitality shown me at this fine pizzeria. My Ravioli Riccota and mixed salad really hit the spot after a long day, alongside the pizzas, sparkling water and red wine we ordered.

We came to Modica very hungry with our 3 kids, the restaurant on the other side made us wait for 1 hr without taking our orders, so we left and went to La Perla, a middle age big man greeted us kindly and put a table for us 5 together in just a few seconds. Our orders was taken as soon we closed our menu, and the drinks came right away within 1mins. The food came within 15-25 minutes as the waiter saw how tired and hungry my youngest was. They were so kind and attentive! As we ate our pizza we all were 100% sure it was one of the best pizza we ever had since visiting Sicily for almost 5 years now. Each 4 pizzas was a master piece of its own, the kind and quick service made it all an amazing evening, rescuing our mood after not being served on the other restaurant near by. Thank you La Perla I 100% recommend!!!

Great service & awesome food

I love Modica and whenever I go there I have to eat a Pizza in La Perla. I have traveled all over Italy and without exaggeration this is so far my favourite Pizza place. If I had to name a favourite pizza - which is hard - it would be this delicate one with Mortadella & Pistachio-Creme.

The pizza was delicious and the menu has a large variety to choose from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it.
