Villa Albizi 1667 Tuscany

We can only repeat all that has been written before us about Villa Albizi! The beautiful building of the villa itself and its tasteful furniture, complemented by Tommaso’s delicious meals and the attentive service provided by Harsha, superbly supported by his wife Sandumi, made our family celebration perfect. We were a group of 14 with ages 2 to 70. At first we were a tad concerned about the needs of such a age spread, however those concerns soon evaporated and we had no issues with either the villa or the food; just be sure you discuss your requirements with Tommaso and Harsha each day. Tuscany is hot in August, but the air-conditioning inside the villa and the pool outside ensured we were always comfortable. Notwithstanding that it was an absolute pleasure to eat every meal outside. The villa is remote, so you need cars, however there are some charming villages with excellent restaurants within 25 minutes driving – try Antonimax in Castelnouvo Berardenga. Take a good supply of insect repellent you will need it, as even the locals take their sprays with them everywhere they go in the evenings.
Thank you to Ilaria (the owner), to the chef Tommaso, and of course to Harsha and Sadumi it was a great holiday: “a once in a lifetime holiday”, well, until the next time!

Our whole family had the pleasure of staying that Villa Albizi in May 2024. Don’t think twice before booking this experience! From the amazing Michelin Star meals by Tommaso to the always smiling and helpful Harsha you are truly pampered the entire time! The views are absolutely stunning and the architecture of the house is amazing. A truly 5 star experience that you will not regret!

Recommend to anyone looking for a wonderfully peaceful retreat. The host (Divya) was so wonderful, and the Villa manager Harsha could not have made us feel more special and tended to our every need with all the kindness you could imagine. Chef Tommaso amazed us with every gormet meal he made. Each one a masterpiece. We were there on the hottest week of the summer and the pool was so cool and refreshing, regardless of the heat. We ate dinner outside each night in the cool breeze from the countryside. We lead such hectic lives, and Villa Albizi was the perfect experience to slow us down and remind us how beautiful life can be.

Amazing! One word sums it up. We just spent a lovely week here with our families (age ran 16-76). Everyone had a wonderful time.

The experience was elevated and made top notch by Harsha and Tomasso, the concierge and chef. They were friendly, knowledgeable and personable. Funny too. The service and food was impeccable.

There are no words that can adequately describe the tranquility and beauty of Villa Albizi - and the regenerative quality of experiencing a weeklong holiday at the Villa. The Hagerty family and friends were treated to a week of fun and relaxation that was punctuated by extraordinary meals prepared by world class chefs and staff who are clearly motivated to please their guests at an exceptional level. The talent and creativity of the head chef Tommaso is only eclipsed by his good nature and eagerness to make all of the guest feel the comfort of his hospitality.

Being well off the beaten path, the Villa provided opportunities to unplug and enjoy the beauties of nature that are even more pronounced within the Tuscan countryside. We enjoyed the many activities offered on the grounds, from the swimming pool to the hot tub, and the outdoor exercise equipment to the wellness spa. The location also allowed our group to take daytrip excursions within Tuscany to enjoy vineyards, wineries, olive gardens, truffle farms, and quaint villages. We enjoyed the great variations in the Italian spring - from warm sunshine to nourishing drizzles that would pitter patter off the clay tile roofs - complimenting the birdsong to create natures greatest symphony.

Absolutely amazing! Spent a week here, no regrets. Close proximity to Firenze (Florence) and the service was impeccable. Amazing food, amazing views, amazing villa. 100% would recommend for the food alone.

Beautiful villa and location. A bit difficult to get to because of winding and narrow roads. Once there, everything is amazing. The staff was fantastic and chef is wonderful. Biggest complaint too much food! The food was fabulous but there was too much (not sure this a really a complaint), but there is a tendency to over eat. Wonderful selection of reasonably priced wines only made dining experiences better. We had 4 children, ages 3 - 8, with us and Villa was very accommodating. Ilaria and Tomaso were very helpful in arranging transportation to take care of our needs. They couldn’t be better people to deal with. I highly recommend this villa. Our stay was terrific and we hope to be able to return.

We just spent a wonderful week at the villa with our family (children and grandchildren) - there were 11 of us. The villa was spacious and gorgeous and provided every amenity that you could ever want or need. The staff was superb and met every need or request with a smile. The food by chef Thomasso was delicious and abundant. He went out of his way to tailor the meals for the kids. Loved our cooking class with him! The app provided by the villa to book all the arrangement - from transportation to meals to wine tasting, etc. - was easy to use and covered anything you could possibly want or need during your stay. The owners - Thomasso and Ilaria - were terrific to work with and personally greeted us upon our arrival and made sure that we were comfortable and having our needs addressed during the week. A truly special and fabulous vacation and one we will cherish for many years to come. We hope that we can find a way to return again. Thank you!

This is a very beautiful villa with amazing grounds. The 7 bedrooms are classic and high standard with bathroom to each room . It is a gourmet experience staying here since there is a gourmet chef included in the price so it is very easy going for everyone .. The Villa has a beautiful swimming pool and a spa bath and a lovely garden . It is value for the price of the rental but most of all, the food itself is better than most other restaurants in Tuscany .. Best regards from GunnJanne with family ❤

Villa Albizi was fantastic. It is hidden in the hills of Tuscany, but once you are there it feels like you have the mountains to yourself. Drive slowly on the path to the house from the “main” road, its an adventure.
The house is something out of a storybook with castle like steps inside. The beds were a little too firm for my liking, but we were never there to sleep anyway. We spent 99% of our time utilizing the large gathering tables outside and of course the pool area w/hot tub.
Our house staff, Harsha & Chef Tommaso, were the absolute BEST! They made everything very easy during our stay. It might sound funny, but Harsha made the best eggs and set up a wonderful breakfast most days(our request), and Chef Tommaso exceeded our expectations with his masterful dishes that not only tasted devine but also had simple & elegant presentation. If you like meat, I highly recommend the Italian BBQ while there!!!
We traveled everyday to various towns and wineries. If you are from the US like we are, I recommend that you ship back wine from your visits as it was very simple and arrived 2-3 weeks after we were home. Also, less to carry through the airport or customs. Top 3 wineries: Call ahead always; (1) Castello di Verrazano, amazing views & amazing selection of wines. (2) Querceto di Castellina, small family operation. Very chill spot with good wines. (3) Badia a Coltibuono, best dining location for dinner, try the Cultus wine(Chianti Classico Riserva).
The owner of the Villa was very attentive during our stay, available via WhatsApp, and gave great recommendations on places to dine & wine, she even was nice enough to put in the reservation a couple of times. Overall, this stay was a hit with our entire 16 person crew. Gratzi Villa Albizi :)

I call Villa Albizi my home away from home. Hosting retreats is my love and passion. There is no better place to rest, restore and rejuvenate your life and wellbeing than at Villa Albizi. This is my place.. and I will forever return year after year. Tommaso, Ilaria and the entire staff are family to me.

Villa Albizi is everything that the pictures portray and MORE! We had 12 adults in our group at the villa for a week in Sept 2016. It was the most glorious and unforgetable week for every one of us. The owners IIaria and Thomas are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay unforgettable. They arranged for a local speaker presentation to tell us about local Tuscany; daily breakfast; and a couple of delicious dinner menus. That said, the comforts and amenities in the USA are not the same in Italy. The beauty at Villa Albizi far outweighs some non existant amenities even the lack of a Kuerig machine; a clothes drier; sketchy wi-fi; and no garbage disposal. The added beauty for our group was the gorgeous old chapel just steps away from the villa! We were able to celebrate a Catholic Mass with our traveling priest.

Amazing Villa Albizi! … with chef in villa and The superb staff

Nel cuore del Chianti una villa dove trascorrere soggiorni di relax godendo di ottima cucina, stanze dotate di ogni confort oltre che arredate con gusto e cura dei particolari, accesso ad una piscina riscaldata immersa nel verde.. e tutto intorno tantissimi posti da visitare a pochi km dalla struttura.
Complimenti a Ilaria e Tommaso che con professionalità e passione gestiscono questo angolo di paradiso della nostra bella Toscana.

Super widoki, dwa baseny, duże wille (nie da się ich nazwać apartamentami) i mili właściciele. Dla zainteresowanych trasa (górzysta, około 2 km) do pobliskiej winnicy.

Location fantastica. Purtroppo il giorno in cui siamo capitati in questo angolo di mondo era chiuso, comunque 5 stelle sulla fiducia.
