Such a charming and magical space with the best food I had in Italy. Two of us enjoyed two pastas, an espresso and a bottle of water for 20 euro!

Menu changes daily and is handwritten and photo copied into the "menu."

Great service with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of vegetarian options too!

Great food and atmosphere. Many locals hang out there. We were there several times during our stay in the town. Prices were unbeatable. Atmosphere was relaxed. We felt at home and like a locals too when we hung out there. Paolo and his staff were the nicest people.

I really enjoyed the experience here. The staff is super friendly and the food is unbelievable. We ended up going here 2 out of 4 nights on our visit. We got numerous items but my favorites were the tagliatelle with truffles and the peposo. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a great experience.

We ate here two of the four nights we stayed in Barberino Tavarnelle. This is a local restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and vibe. Paulo treated us very well. Eating here is what I would imagine it is like eating at grandmas house in Italy. Food was outstanding and Paulo made sure we got the perfect wine to go with our meals. We plan to return here. They even had live music on Sunday evening that was fantastic. Patio was packed and the energy was electric.

Fantastic Italian Caffè/restaurant. Food is buonissimo. Even possible to sit in a little garden. We where there on an sunday and its typichal Italian..eating with family and friends. And it is great to see (and hear :-) ) the love the owner shows in making it all happen.

Great food and prices, weekly menu, awesome owner and staff. Must visit. Make a lunch reservation if you can bc it‘s quite popular during the workweek :)

This place is a gem!! I am full-blown American and felt so welcome and at home here by their staff, especially Paolo. I was here for 4 days and ate here 3 times. Every meal, especially the veal pasta dish from the 1400s, was amazing (I had it twice)!!! The wine, the food, the coffee, and the people were fantastic. You HAVE to come here!!!!

The best place in Barberino to eat! The food is taste, delicious. Prices are normal. They have many tipes od delicious wines and the owner is so polite.

don't miss this place. everything from menu is just perfect. you can meet lot of natives having lunch there. prices are really resonable.

My wife and I found this restaurant by chance and just had coffee and croissants. The croissants were filled with preserves, one with apricot and the other with berry. Both were delicious. We later found that it was recommended by our Airbnb hostess. We took our grandson there the next day for lunch. We had three different pasta dishes and all were delicious. This seems to be a local destination. People are always coming in for coffees. The owner speaks English very well, is loud and gregarious and makes you feel welcome. I recommend I’ll Caffe degli Amici very highly to anyone visiting in the vicinity.

Great food, service and wine and a real local experience. I suggest you book, we got lucky and secured a table for 2 with no booking but by 9pm every table was full. We don’t speak Italian but that was not a problem the staff helped us pick some great meals and the wine ( both choice and quality) was outstanding and well priced. Would have paid a lot more for a meal of this quality in Sydney. A must visit!

Honestly, this place place was at the centre of our stay. We went there for dinner almost every day and we really enjoyed it every time.
The quality of the food is high, while the prices seem fair. The atmosphere there is really magical. It felt as if we were in a movie scene. :)
Twice they had music in the garden where we served dinner and that was really cool, it added something special to everything. The employees are really sweet. I’ve rarely met people with such a genuine smile on their face. I totally recommend this place for its food, but also for the atmosphere.

Initially we came here with my wife looking for a cup of cafe..but we ended up staying for lunch and it was the most pleasent experience on our trip. Paolo the owner gave us the best romantic table and explained the menu so we could understand because it is hand written 🥰.I had tagliateli with pork, my wife had sea food spaghetti and we could taste home made itallian flavour with every bite. We drank Chianti clasico red wine which was 4eur per glass which is worth every cent. At the end Paolo gave us a small souvenir to remember this lovely family run cafe restaurant.

Caffe degli Amici is the definition of Tuscan hospitality. As we arrived late one Sunday evening, looking for a bite as most places were closed, we were welcomed in despite the restaurant expecting a large group in just a few minutes. The food is excellent hospitality warm and should be your go to for a traditional Tuscan meal at an affordable price.

Best place in Tavernelle! Family run and super friendly. Paulo is an absolute legend! Everything on the menu is fantastic with insanely good prices for the area. We explored many places in this region but found ourselves always coming back here feeling like it was our second home. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
