The property is wonderful with all the personal items on display, it gives the touch of a true home. The property looks like in the pictures and the location is great. The room was specious and clean. bed and pillow were comfortable and the bathroom had all needed amenities. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Great value for the money!

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Amazing property and location. Also, cannot say enough about the owner, Francesco, who went above and beyond to help make our stay great. We will be back and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area to look no further.

Loved our stay at B&B La Casa Di Adelina. The town of Monticchiello is quiet and very walkable. Francesco greets you when you arrive and is very friendly. He can give advice on where to eat, hiking trails and wineries near by. He makes your breakfast every morning and his soft scrambled eggs on cheesy bread is delicious! I highly recommend staying here.

If you came for a true Tuscan experience of a small, medieval village, look no further. La Casa Di Adalina is what every B&B should be. Authentic, local feel to everything about this place plus a fantastic host, who really takes care for his guests. Francesco runs these apartments the way you will immediately feel like home. The bedrooms and the spacious, shared living room are carefully and tastefully decorated with family souvenirs. The kitchen smells of fresh coffee and cakes and is equipped beyond any cook's expectation. You will be spoiled by Francesco's breakfast, always served with smile and a friendly chat. The host is a real man of Renaissance - you might meet him cooking upstairs, painting Tuscan landscapes in his ground floor workshop, working out in his gym or mowing the lawn with his daughter in a local park. And whatever you need - he is there to help, available with fluent English both in person and via WhatsApp.
The village of Monticchiello itself is worth visiting, too. Away from crowded tourist destinations packed with souvenir shops and loud bars, this location offers quiet, subtle touch of history and glimpse into what a small Italian village on top of a hill has looked like hundreds years ago. When you wander through little streets and look across stunning valley view from the city walls, you realize, how little has changed over here...

This place is really very special! A very old and charming home with rooms and common areas which are artfully put together (which makes a lot of sense as Francesco is an artist!). Lovely small shops and restaurants within a 30 second walk. Many breathtaking views from different points around town. Several choices for walks, including one we found that goes far into the woods. And Monticchiello is a really special tiny village itself- we are so happy we decided to stay here instead of Siena or even somewhere slightly bigger. Also, Francesco is an INCREDIBLE cook and baker. I asked for some tips on making crepes before leaving. :)

Thank you so very much, Francesco, for a wonderful holiday!!! Who you are and what you’re doing is really wonderful. :)

If you’re looking for a nice, quiet & beautiful place to stay around Montepulciano, this is an excellent choice💫
Francesco will make you feel at home with his excellent breakfasts in a very authentic family house. Rooms are renovated, very clean, beds are super comfortable and everything kept cheeky and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, I hope we’ll be able to visit again soon🙏

Unfortunately I didn’t made any fotos of the house, only the wonderful surroundings of this magical village🍷✨

The village is also full of restaurants with a tasty food. Especially recommended for a visit the “La Guardiola Wine&Food” - just before entering the gate of the village - they have a home made ice cream, and excellent wine choices (that even worth to buy home - like I did☺🍷).

My friend and I had an amazing stay! Francesco made us feel at home and was very attentive to how we were enjoying the area. When we expressed an interest in hiking and biking, he made a custom trail map for us based on what we wanted to see in the area. The rooms were great and breakfast was perfect! Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more. Will definitely recommend this BnB to friends!

My husband and I stayed at B&B La Casa di Adelina for two nights in June, and it was just the place for us. We had originally booked Mansarda, which is a room in the main B&B, but Francesco graciously moved us to one of his self catering units because it was available. My husband is over 6 ft tall and Mansarda has quite low ceilings (note the change wasn't request by us, but immediately offered by Francesco because the larger room was available). So, in the end we stayed in the top unit of Torre which was a two floor apartment with small kitchen, large spacious bathroom and large bedroom with sky lights. The views from the bedroom was lovely - looking across the peaceful hillside, and the bathroom was very spacious with a comfortable shower and enormous bath. Everything was spotlessly clean as well.

Francesco was easy to communicate with, provided recommendations on where to eat in the village, and also offered to map us out some routes for walking to Pienza. In the end, we rented two Vespas from Vintage Tours outside of Pienza for the day. His breakfast was exceptionally presented, and very tasty - including fruit, coffee, toast, crepes and eggs, if you desired. He was accommodating with the the time when we requested a slightly earlier breakfast to his standard time on the day we left.

If you are seeking a peaceful setting in a small village off the beaten track in Tuscany, then we can't recommend B&B La Casa di Adelina enough!

This is our favorite place to stay in Italy! The village of Monticchiello is perfectly situated in the middle of the best part of Tuscany and holds a few of its best restaurants.

La Casa Di Adelina is incredibly comfortable - we've stayed in a few of its rooms and apartments and they were all outstanding. You walk away from breakfast feeling very full and content, thanks to their fresh pastries, breads, eggs, seasonal fruit, and Italian coffee. But our favorite part of our visits are the people. Francesco and his team are so warm, helpful, and kind. We can't wait to go back.

And he is such an awesome cook- the sumptuous breakfast is worth waiting for every morning.with his delicious home baked breads and cakes! Highly recommended- stay as long as you want but no matter how long you stay, you'll wish you had booked for longer!

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely place in Monticchiello. Our room was wonderful with everything needed, and fabulous linens (best so far on this trip).

Francesco was a great host and provides a beautiful breakfast, and is simply a wonderful person.

Gracie Mille, for providing such a beautiful spot. We hope to return soon for a longer stay in Monticchiello.

There are already many great reviews you can find in tripadvisor on La Casa Di Adelina. So I thought sharing my views here would be better to help our google friends discover this little gem.

It was my first trip to Val d'orcia, hoping to experience the beauty of Tuscany from the movie scenes of English Patient and Gladiators. I have originally picked La Bandita but they were fully booked. After looking at all the options, I finally decided on Casa Di Adelina. Mainly because I liked boutique style hotel and from the website pictures, the attic room which I have chosen looked tastefully decorated with charms closed enough to one. A little doubt though imagining it would be a small and little apartment.

But the reality exceeded my expectations. It was the most spacious room designed with spilt levels for living, dining, reading room, toilet, kitchen and finally the bedroom. You could choose your own favourite section and indulge in your own privacy when getting tired of your travelling companion.;-) The decoration stuffs were all private collections from the owner's family. A lot of nostalgia and personal touch which makes the whole room comfy and homely. Only the kitchen and the bathroom are all new and modern. In one word, it is a value for money.

The only thing I want to add is La Casa is unique because of the owner, Francesco. He is unpretentiously generous in helping guests in every way he can to make their stay memorable. In my case, I have emailed him before my arrival that I needed transportation for cooking class at Podere ii Casale (another wonderful experience). He offered to drive us and pick us up which he did. I have also asked for laundry service and he said it was a complimentary to our stay.

I was also most grateful to him for showing us the secrets of his home town no other tour guide will. One of them was the famous scene of Gladiator. It was a dream come true walking along the secluded and unbeaten path of one the best scenes of Val d' orcia. It was truly a blissful, peaceful and content walk in solitude. More beautiful than I have imagined.

Pictures are worth a thousand words. But in this case, I think not even words are enough to describe the feeling of leaving heaven for earth, which is exactly what you will feel like on the day you leave Monticchiello. It is the least touristy compared to Pienza and Montepulciano. It is hard to describe, but do go there one day and experience it yourself if you like warm people, quiet and non touristy place and most important stay at La Casa Di Adelina to make your experience complete.

Bed and breakfast located in a small town in Tuscany. The town is not as easy to get to / less connected but comes with the upside of being far less congested. There's not much shopping or other tourist traps and around and you can enjoy the small village to yourself. On the ground floor is a artists studio which has pretty good original work
