Agriturismo Barbi

Staying at Agriturismo Barbi is fantastic – simply by taking in all surroundings and gazing at the landscape (and especially the sunset) for hours without realzing they are passing by. Vilmo is a generous host and always reachable in case of questions!

This place is one of our favorite travel spots so far. It offers a real Tuscan experience, with an amazing Tuscan landscape and scenery. Above all that, Vilmo is super nice and he was on top of the communication game. He walked us through the facility, things and spots to visits in the area, and has loaded the fridge and kitchen with all food basics and all what you would need for a great breakfast from the property's beautiful patio. We loved the place, and we wished if we spent more time there. We will definitely come back!

We simply liked everything about the property- the location, the facilities. The apartment was clean with a very homely vibe and away from the crowd and right in the centre of Val d’Orcia. It’s a great place to explore Tuscany and the sunsets that you get to witness here are simply stunning. The breakfast was amazing and the hospitality of the host, Mr Barbi, is par excellence- with suggestions of what to do and where to go, apart from constantly being in touch with us. They also gave us some discount vouchers for restaurants and spas around us. It was a fantastic stay and is highly recommended. We hope to go back again someday and stay for longer.

I stayed at Agroturismo Barbe for two nights in Septembre 2023 in a now bedroom appartment. The owner Vilmo welcomed me when I arrived and very quickly did the checkin. The appartment was superb ! It was clean, very well equipped (the kitchen had every possible appliance, very impressive). There was plenty of food in the fridge and in the kitchen for two breakfasts and even a lunch or two. The appartment was simply and tastefully furnished but very comfortable with everything I needed. The view was astounding and the area is very quiet. There is a garden with tables outside with a wonderful view of the Tuscan landscape and one of the best sunsets I have ever seen. I would be delighted to spend a week there in the future. Thanks a million !!!

Fantastic location a short drive away from places like Pienza, Monticchiello, and Montepulciano. Accommodations are spacious and necessities are provided. Breathtaking view of the rolling Tuscan countryside with Pienza cresting in the horizon. Vilmo is a very welcoming host; he'll make you feel comfortable and at home. He provides excellent recommendations of what to see in the surrounding area, as well as some history of the region. Already looking forward to returning.

Spent a phenomenal few days here, Vilmo the owner is wonderful, his recommendations were spot on. The apartment was stocked, absolutely fantastic stay, peaceful yet very close to abundant wine tasting, dining and leisure.

Agriturismo Barbi is located in one of the most beautiful spots in Tuscany. The view is incredibly beautiful, particularly at sunset. The apartment is beautiful and fully equipped with all you need. The owner was very nice and provided all local info and good suggestions. All was perfect, highly recomended !

If you are looking for a place to stay where you can get to lots of sights and wonderful vineyards quickly and easily, then this is a great place to stay! We were able to get to great vineyards in Montalcino and Montepulciano without any problems, as well as see the famous cypress trees, the Capella di Vitaleta and a bunch of other places! The view from his place is AMAZING and if the weather allows, the sunset view from the grass is really a great way to close a day. Also if you’re looking for a place to eat, La Porta is amazing and if you made reservations, be sure to say you are staying at Agriturismo Barbi or if you haven’t made reservations, Signore Barbi may be able to work some magic for you! If you we come back to this area of Tuscany, we will definitely stay here again!

We can't write enough good things about Vilmo, the villa, and the absolutely stunning location. There are few better views of the val d'orcia. Montecchiello is a charming little town (we walked there for dinner under the stars!), Pienza and the other towns are close at hand, and you won't want to leave the place itself. Photos don't do justice to the views and setting.

Finally, Vilmo is a gem - full of energy, funny, helpful, and extremely generous. The food he leaves for guests could feed an army, and he did his absolute best to answer our questions about the region, even putting us in touch with friends to fill any knowledge gaps. This is true Italian hospitality at its most authentic.

Great place with magnificent view and a good location near Pienza and Montichiello. Vilmo is a great host and gives a lot of useful information. All the products for the breakfast are very tasty.

The owner, Mr. Barbi, is a nice guy, who allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-equipped. And most importantly, the 2-bedroom apartment commands a magnificent Tuscan view! Would definitely return!

Mr. Barbi is a fantastic host. He is generous, polite and a lovely man. His property is clean, super quiet and has the best views! Well located between different small towns.
