REM Restaurant Tropea Vecchia

Fabulous scampi ravioli, local Parma and delicious Etna wine. Excellent service, English speaking hosts, not yet busy for the summer. Cute courtyard nestled a few doors back from the tourist strip. Strongly recommend. The quality of food far outweighs the lack of views and prices are not “tourist” inflated.

Great restaurant out of the tourist walk ways offering wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Food was presented beautifully; cooked perfectly with a delicate balance of flavors. One of the best meals I have had in Italy.

We came to this restaurant when visiting Tropea. When we stopped by to read menu a gentleman came and greeted us with "buon giorno" (we enjoyed the fact that it is just gentle greeting unlike in Greece when you are almost dragged inside) the atmosphere was very nice with relaxing music in background. The service was that gentle that made us feel very welcome. (In every restaurant in Tropea actually service and waiters were very caring, nice, polite - even when we ordered espresso with milk- when I done it in Neapol I thought that waiter will kick me out of the restaurant) We ordered spagettone alla vongole and fileja Tropeana. It was very good choice . Absolutely delicious. House wine just made this meal even more joyfull and delicious. We came back again although it happens rare to us ( usually we eat at different restaurant each day to try something else/new). next time we came to eat typically calabrese stuff : nduja, few types of cheese, salami, red onion etc. Again we were very satisfied. Definitely recommend that place.

Excellent seafood bar a must with the expertees of the owner Roberto who has internacional experience and together with the manager Alessandro.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Great seafood platter. Wonderful anchovies pasta! Chardonnay was fantastic. Service was extraordinary! Chef did such a great job that wife was compelled to tip him separately. Go eat here!!!

The fish of the day what was Dorada with an amazing sauce of olive, tomato and capers was amazing. The local wine was a bonus.

Ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante un po' per caso, non particolarmente affamati. Rispetto all'offerta media abbiamo trovato prezzi un po' più economici e un numero maggiore di scelta soprattutto nei secondi di mare. Il locale è molto carino nella sua semplicità e il servizio cordiale. In due abbiamo preso bistecca di tonno e spada alla siciliana, entrambi molto gustosi e preparati con pesce freschissimo. Buono anche il vino della casa, amari gentilmente offerti. Ritorneremo sicuramente!

Tropea offre molte possibilità dove cenare e non vi sarà difficile trovare un posto dove mangiare, ma questa piazzetta è una bomboniera, per fortuna che l'abbiamo trovata! vi consiglio vivamente di prenotare perché al momento della cena i tavoli si riempiono velocemente.
qui trovate anche proposte senza glutine, dalla pasta al fritto (sì anche il fritto senza glutine!). il fritto e l'antipasto delle mie foto è senza glutine, la pasta è normale.

Restaurangen har öppet på udda tider för turister vilket är ett stort plus. Vi blev mycket väl omhändertagna av personalen. Maten hade även den allt att önska. Vi kan starkt rekommendera denna restaurang.

Serata splendida di fine stagione ho gustato davvero tutto specialmente la marmellata di cipolla di tropea veramente unica! Tornerò l'anno prossimo sicuramente! Anche il vino superba scelta della cameriera!!

Posto stupendo,siamo stati trattati con estrema cortesia,il punto forte è lo staff,davvero molto simpatico e scherzoso,i piatti stupendi e davvero buoni,la location suggestiva che mostra uno squarcio di Tropea e d’Italia
