A small, discreet, and buzzing venue. First walking in, you might be confused that you are in the right spot. It looks like a slots casino, tobacco shop, bar.

After looking closer, you'll see the espresso machines and menus.

Our cappuccino was 10/10. The atmosphere is friendly. The post cards are cute.

Wonderful local coffee shop! Great for early birds as they open at 7am. The server is what makes this place so special! He is equally friendly to tourists and locals. A really lovely man! His good mood is infectious! Lovely pastries. I can recommend the pistachio croissants and a raisin twist. Coffee is great and really hot. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend! A real authentic Italian experience.

So good these paninis were warm crunchy and filled with great quality ingredients grab one and find a nice spot in front of the lake so much better and cheaper than the tourist traps . The staff were so nice as well.

Come here to avoid tourist traps, this is proved by them not speaking English well and all the locals seem to go here. Their pizza and focacia is amaaaaazing. As well as their pistachio canoli and chocolate croissant! They are also super friendly. Highlight recommend getting a snack and eating it on the bench with a lake view.

Perfect place to grab a quick sandwich for lunch! Mostly local in the shop.

Really good sandwiches and coffee and friendly staff. You can sit in to eat here but we chose to take out and went to sit on a bench by the lake which was lovely

Not typical insta-friendly but totally very climatic, small, cosy restaurant. Food was very good, but cappucino was like perfect. Honestly the best place for quick breakfast when You are nearby.
Breakfast for 2 costed us like 9,5€ so prices are balanced very well. Highly recommended

We bought some delicious wraps for only 6€, everything was fresh, warm, very filling and simply wonderful and the service was amazing. It’s located on the way to villa Monastero, right in the centre. Lovely

Oh this place was amazing! The staff was so friendly. We had amazing pistachio croissants, zucchini focaccias and a few other baked goods! The espresso macchiato and the hot chocolate was on point too! Great place to stop by first thing in the morning or while visiting Villa Monastero :)
Also, the bakery next to this place has yummy maritozzi.

The Cornetto and other pastries were so good, as well as the coffee. Really friendly staff and a quiet seating area at the back. Definitely recommend if you're in town for breakfast.

Lovely little place if you want to avoid queueing for the tourist bars you hit when you get off the ferry. Cheaper as well and nice view down the cute alleys to the lake from the side seating. Would recommend!

As tobacco and coffee shops go, this is what you expect. I bought some Cuban cigars at a fair price, enjoyed a coffee, meeting the owner and staff, as well as locals who congregate daily. What else do you want?

This is the ideal spot for a quick bite to eat or some coffee!

No complains. The place is a mini-market combined with a small cafe, so you can imagine the atmosphere is not great. But, good coffee, good sandwich, nice owner.

Great sandwich. I had the sandwich veranna which was amazing, but it has a bit too much mayonaise for my taste (used a napkin to remove a bit). The bread is absolutely amazing

Wow. This place makes such a good sandwich. I understand I did not get a typical Italian sandwich, but the turkey was so good. The ciabatta bread is extremely fresh, they are not shy with the salad and tomato they add, and there’s a good amount of mayo to give the sandwich some moisture. They do offer a variety of sandwiches, as well as pastries, focaccia pizza, etc. The ladies inside were kind. There’s seating in the back.

The staff here are so friendly. The sandwiches are spectacular. Seems to be very popular with the locals as well so you know it’s the best place to be. I initially went for lunch but had to come back for a cafe in the morning. Both times the staff have been so amazing. Prices are also very affordable

Perfect place to get your breakfast in Varenna.. The pistachio was delicious, service was great and they have a spacious space at the back for a group. Make sure you come very early as the breakfast menu tend to sold out pretty quickly!

Love the food. Love the espressos. LOVE the staff. Wish there was more/better seating outside but who cares when the pastries are warm and crumbly and the servers are so kind and helpful with English-speakers :) We went every morning we were in Varenna!
