Restaurante Huamuchil

Definitely a great choice for dinner if you're visiting Grutas Tolantongo. (Note that this is for the Restaurante Huamuchil not for the Cocina Económica Huamuchil which is close by).

We got the Mocaljete. The menu says it's a meal for three people, but the portion was so large, it could have fed at least four people. The meat was delicious and well seasoned, the peppers were hot, and the tortillas were warm and fresh.

For drinks, I had the piña with amaretto while while my friend had a virgin piña. They were both delicious, although a bit too sweet. They were not stingy with the alcohol.

The service was okay, very attentive at first but as the restaurant got busier, it took a while to get our server's attention. However, the food arrived quickly.

If you don't speak Spanish, don't be intimidated. The servers were quite helpful and friendly, and we still managed to communicate well enough.

To find this restaurant, head to the Rio river by the Hotel La Gruta. It's close to the store and the restrooms.

Para mí fue una buena experiencia, pedimos un molcajete y estuvo muy bien, muy bueno, la atención muy buena, aclarando que había muy pocas personas, el lugar muy limpio y bonito, es un buen lugar para ir a comer

No había gente, así que el servicio fue rápido, buenos precios.

La atención del mesero fue excelente! Además de ello disfrutamos en familia enchiladas rojas, molcajete, camarones con pollo, espagueti entre otros. Me pareció el mejor restaurante de la zona, tanto la atención como el sazón de los platillos👌🏼

La comida estaba riquísima las quesadillas de bistec y la pechuga empanizada, ayer estuvimos ahí y pudimos ver el buen servicio de parte del Mesero no le preguntamos su nombre pero fue una buena atención de parte de él...

Excelente RECOMENDACION, Lugar muy ameno, limpio, con excelente atención y muy variado menú.
Muy Ideal para Mochileros por sus costos variados y accesibles. Me encanta porque cuando asisto me atienden muy bien. OJO llega antes de las horas pico. El lugar es grande con bastante personal, y aun así se abarrota.

Un menú variado aunque y económico, los molcajetes son muy buena opción y de gran sabor.

Muy buen lugar para acampar y disfrutar de un fin de semana.

Es algo tardado el servicio, y el sabor pudiese mejorar evitando también que la comida llegué fría. Su café con leche es bueno.

El lugar esta agradable para comer con vista al río en la planta alta. La comida es muy rica (quesadillas, sopes, etc.) pero el servicio por parte de los meseros es regular.
