This to me is the point at which when you reach at, you know you deserve a medal. Take a minute and pat yourself at the back. In my opinion Sunrise as Stella point should still be enjoyed as at Uhuru peak. At Stella point you can still see the beautiful glaciers and a view of the crater.

This was a welcome stop point to take a breath after a long slog up from base camp in the dark. Time for some ginger tea and onwards and upwards to Uhuru Peak.

So much better than the actual Uhuru Peak. Once you've suffered to this point you will get a major feeling of achievement by the first glimpse into the crater in front of you and the beautiful sunrise behind. What a great point on the way to the actual top...

Tough hike up in the cold but such a rewarding feeling to arive there on the way to the summit. Our guides were terrific, ClimbKili did an amazing job with our group. Amazing experience all around.

A fantastic place to be with great views of the surrounding area. The day we went, the wind was svery strong, one of the strongest in the past 6 years. Uhuru Peak is an easy 45 minutes away, don't give up and make sure you get to the peak.

Last stop before the top, go to bed early and start on the last part of the route at midnight. The view is excellent, remember to enjoy it.

You have made it to Stella point and the summit is now in touching distance. A great sunrise over Mawenzi lifts the spirits after a cold climb up 4,000ft. Time to keep putting one foot in front of the other and head on to the summit

Once you get here you are on the rim and not much further to go to finish to get to the top.

Extreme cold temperatures when you start walking at midnight. Approximately-10 to -20 degree when I summited. in the route to Kilimanjaro by trek. Beautiful landscapes and jungle. 8/9 hours hiking approximately to reach the summit but I took much more. Quite draining for me. But all so worth it at the end. Climbing all the way up to Africas highest mountain is satisfying and overwhelming. Kilimanjaro is beautiful and so are it’s people.

What an amazing experience to share with my wonderful daughter Sarah and her very good friend Aisling. It was a tough climb but worth every aching step. A memory I will cherish forever!!

If you made it this far, then you have climbed one of Mt. Kilimanjaro's peaks. It is significant both because it means that you have completed the difficult ascent and because of the view of the crater it offers. Spectacular and brutally cold when we arrived there at 6am. A great relief as well.
