Powell's Creekside Haven

This was my daughter's favorite campground of all the ones we visited on our recent trip because she loved playing sand volleyball and gaga ball with the children of the delightful family who own Powell's Creekside Haven! A truly wonderful family!

This was such a beautiful campground! The location was centrally located and convenient to visiting numerous sites around the Kansas City are. Would definitely go again!

We stayed at Powell’s Creekside for 2 weeks while my husband was attending a training. A great experience! Our cabin was very clean and well cared for. Marjorie and the whole family went out of their way to make us feel at home and comfortable , even bringing us extra blankets on an extra chilly night. Very family friendly. My kids made new friends and enjoyed playing in the woods and pond. Would definitely stay again!

Great campground we found in a pinch while on the road home to Philly. Was going to book their pet friendly cabin called “the box,” but it was already booked so we just tented. The tenting area is located by a pond. The sounds of the frogs at night was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Tenting spot was secluded and great, just way too hot and humid. We upgraded to a cabin for the rest of our stay. Marjorie is super friendly and accommodating. Indoor shower and washing machine facilities. Indoor flush toilet very clean. It was a nice experience with a friendly family with lots of friendly kids. Will stay again during cooler weather.

We stayed there for the Memorial day weekend and found it to be very quiet and friendly. The family that owns the property is very kind and fun to visit with and the pond was very relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay at Powell’s creek side haven campground. We camped in our tent in a secluded group campsite. The fireflies lighting up and the frogs croaking at night were really special.

The hosts were very kind to us. They shared aloe Vera with us to help me with a sunburn. They invited our family to watch them feed their cows as well. Our kids enjoyed it so much!

And the creek was a fantastic relief in a hot day. The whole family played in it for a long time!

Loved our time here. Marjorie and Steve were great hosts, super laid back and hospitable. I brought 3 of my children ranging from 4-8yrs old to do some tent camping, and we had a great time hiking, playing in the creek, cooking food over a campfire, and telling stories in the woods. Thank you!

I stayed in a tent, but the RV sites looked nice. Hookups and good pull thrus. The tenting area is a general camping area and not individual sites, but there were ample fire rings and picnic tables and was empty except one other tent. The tenting area is a little pitched, and finding a flat area was a little challenging, but overall was the perfect spot for an overnighter.

The woman who runs this place with her family came over to talk to me in the morning and told me about their cool solar shower, some hiking paths and a pond for our use, including kayaks! I enjoyed talking to her, definitely great vibes and someone whose business I will continue to support on my regular trips thru. Alsos eems like a great spot for a weekend with the family. I only wish I had more time to enjoy it!

Great family friendly environment. Local family owns and operates. My favorite kind of rv park. Relaxing, peaceful and easy to get to!

My family used one of their cabin's and it had a perfect view of the pond. The property also has a scenic trail that takes you to a nearby creek. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking to camp in the area.

Very nice accommodations and the process was straight forward. The cabin was pleasant and convenient for what I was doing in the area.

Great family environment. There is a fishing pond. They had water and electric amenities. Our kids loved to play with hosts family kids. Great pricing. And definitely a RV park we would come to stay at again.

The powells are great people we consider them family me and my wife are full time camper/RV'ers and always come back to see the powells as for they are like our Missouri family the whole family comes together as one to get the camper comfortable and settled in . love this place and will recommend to everyone we meet on our adventures affordable rates with a welcoming family we will always come back to visit

Not so unfortunate as it served well from road wearied travel. Rain over night my luck, my tent, I will invest in more of a weather proof abode.

Tent camped with my 2 kids over weekend, they had a blast! Owner friendly and attentive. Good experience, will definitely visit again.

A privetly owned campground. We stay for the little cabins but this place has everything an RV owner could want. Prices are reasonable.
