Awesome place to take the pets. Wonderful and kind staff! Our dog doesn't dread going and she's wild!

Doc is always great with my dog, gets him calmed for examining and the nail clipper lady was great also! My dog is old but I call him puppy and he had old man toenails and she got them looking awesome! Thanks again!

I wanted to update my review as I have been taking my dogs here for several years now. My dog had a simple surgery recently but of course because of my luck and him, everything that could go wrong has, no fault to the doctor or staff. Dr. O’Brien and his staff have been so great with helping me and my dog Dexter to get through this. He truly cares about the animals he sees. Even though Dexter isn’t quite out of the woods yet, I know that they are doing everything they can to get him better. I am so thankful for a place that isn’t scared of Dexter. He doesn’t like strangers and can be aggressive. I am just so thankful for everything that they do. Of course my other dogs all love the staff but they are people lovers.

I really like this vet office. The doctors and staff are very caring and courteous. They helped us send our 15 y/o Peke mix over the Rainbow Bridge. I cannot say enough nice things about this office. Reasonable rates too.

Update 9/19: Things have changed here. I no longer take my pets to this office. They are way too busy & understaffed, the place is chaos & it's too hard to get an appt. I was told 2 weeks for a nail trim. I hope they get things worked out, but I've moved on to another vet.

Took my cat to get vaccinated. She was definitely tired afterwards but she is very healthy so I know she will be fine. Very friendly doctor. Got me in and out quickly. $95 charge for the vaccine.

My entire family has used Grain Valley Animal Hospital for many years and have always had wonderful service. The entire staff is very upfront and honest about cost and what’s best for my furry family members. It’s nice to walk in and be greeted with a smile and absolutely know my pets are in good hands with a staff I trust completely.

My husband has previously taken our two dogs to GVAH. I had an opportunity to setup an appointment for my dog who was displaying some concerning symptoms
The vet was very thoughtful of my dogs needs and reassuring to me. I felt at ease that we found the best course of treatment..and was extremely impressed at the affordability even with multiple medications. I will be a long standing client from now on. In addition, my dog was a rescue..and was kept at ease by the vet.. which is not easy to accomplish.

This was our 1st visit to their hospital. After very indifferent visits to another local veterinarian, I had been researching where I would go when needed. Sadly my next need was for my 16 year old Annie. We had to let her go. The care received was so compassionate, all questions were answered in a caring manner. So appreciated during a difficult time. I will gladly return with my other cats and dogs!

We had a dog that had cancer they they were above and beyond wonderful!!! The staff was very loving and caring. She passed away in December. So I attempted not to replace her but couldn't stay away from another furry friend. We then got a new shitpoo she started out 1.4# they educated us on our tiny baby saw her and gave the vaccine s 1/2 at a time for safety. At 6 month did her spay and she recouped perfect! This staff is knowledgeable, loving and awesome. Can't say enough great things about Dr Frez. She is AMAZING! Thank you for such great care of our pets❤

Excellent Veterinarians on staff. Great techs, friendly and helpful, some are even quite personable. If you want vets that love animals and love helping them without all the "Spa and fluff" features that endanger the health of your wallet, I highly recommend the Grain Valley Animal Hospital.

If you love your fur babies this should be your go-to place. The vet and vet staff seems to really care for the animals. They are very reasonably priced and provide outstanding service. The interior is very bare-bones but I think that's how they are able to help keep their cost so affordable. I don't think I will never take my furbabies anyplace else!!

The vets and staff here are AMAZING! Not only are they closer to our house, but the care for my dogs is OUTSTANDING! We have been going here for a year and will NEVER go anywhere else. Dr. Phares has saved my dogs' life!

I have been going to Dr. O'Brien since he worked on 23rd st. In indep. then i moved south of gv and got so lucky that he came to gv as well. I would not go anywhere else. He loves my babies as much as i do and i can't ask for a better person to care for them. He always has a wonderful staff. He always sees my kids and even when i need to pay him later. Him and his staff helped me when i rescued my 72lb dachshund Ms. Lucy, with the help of them we got her down to 29lbs. She lived 5 more yrs. If it wasn't for them she probably wouldn't have made it long. Maybe i just been there to much , but i love the fact that Dr. O'Brien calls me by name when i see him even outside his office. Thank you for your services. You are awesome!!!

My experience at the Grain Valley Animal Hospital matches their business card statement: "Quality care at affordable prices."
Because of this great value, they have LOTS of customers. Their building is not fancy. My cat and other pets there appear comfortable to extremely happy. One dog there was wagging his tail so wide and fast that if it were a wing instead of a tail, his back legs could have been floating off the floor.

Some of the nicest animal loving people here. They were amazing when we put our first fur baby down. We're fans. We'll bring all our pets here and have since.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My Scooby was diagnosed with diabetes and everyone was so patient with me learning to give his insulin shots. Love this place.

They are so patient and so personable.
It's like walking into a business ran by your own family and friends.
While most are afraid of a certain breed of dog, they couldn't stop complimenting him and loving on him.

Dr. O’Brien and his staff are amazing. .I’m so sorry they’re closing .. praying for dr. O’Brien as he continues to battle cancer…🙏🙏

Had to have our dog put to sleep. They were very professional and friendly. The place is a little rough but I'm more worried about the service provided.
