I’ve been coming here since 2018 and these guys are great! Will never take my car anywhere else. I trust them and they have always been far and honest with me.

I took my car in for an oil change. Billy was very nice and knowledgeable. Very fair price for an oil change. I will definitely bring my car back to them for future services!

This shop does quality work at a fair price. Came in with 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan that needed an alternator. Was giving a fair price and they got me back on the road in no time. Techs were very Knowledgeable and Honest. I will not be going anywhere else in the future.

If you need a good, honest shop, look no further. Billie has been amazing. I found JRs Garage about a year ago. Billie and his staff swapped out an engine on a 2006 Ford Explorer for me, changed out catalytic converters on the same, and replaced all the timing components and water pump on my 2011 Mazda CX-9. He's done several other odd jobs for me. There was one problem with the repairs on the Mazda, and Billie corrected the issue at no additional cost. Like many other shops, Billie says he stands by his work. I can't vouch for the other guys, but he certainly does. All the other work has been done with no issues and still works great. I'm going to Billie for everything...as long as he says it's something he can do, he'll let you know.

This is a shop with fighting for. I came in thinking I would have to get brakes done, knowing I couldn't really afford it, he assured me my brakes were fine, and that it could wait until I had more money, that my situation wasn't dire. He then alerted me to a completely different situation with my vehicle, but assured me that it was also ok, and that I could continue to drive with no real problems. The fact that he didn't charge me for anything, even his advice, and told me I had been lied to previously made me a customer for life. Anytime you need brakes, I suggest this shop.

I was pleased to be referred to a hometown business to help me with my car. Before I took my car to be repaired I stopped in to meet the people I was going to trust my car with. The welcome I received told me I chose the correct place. My car was repaired the next day, everything done was explained and I was assured the issue according to the diagnostic info was resolved. The customer service was outstanding. I absolutely recommend J R's and am happy to say I have a hometown, trusted garage to take care of my vehicle.5

I recently moved to Grain Valley and a wheel bearing went out on my Impala. I saw JR’s Garage recommended by several people so thought I’d give them a shot. I called mid afternoon and Billy said I could drop off that evening. The next morning, he called to confirm it was my wheel bearing and they could have it fixed the same day by end of day! Prices were extremely reasonable, the mechanics were really friendly and they warranty their repairs. I’ve had no issues with the repair and will definitely return for future services. Thanks guys!

We were on our way from Kansas City to St. Louis when a warning alert appeared saying our transmission was overheating. Bill at JR’s immediately got us in, diagnosed the problem, fixed it enough so we could get back in the road, and didn’t even charge us. We are so grateful for his help and generosity. He sincerely helped us avoid a disaster.

The most honest shop I have been to!! They provide parts cheaper than you can get them. I would go back and I continue to go back.

These guys have always been honest with me and never tried to take advantage of my situation. I have always found their prices to be fair and they work quickly to get your vehicle up and running.

I have used this shop for a number of years now and have always had the best service of anyplace I’ve been. They actually care about their customers. They are quick and more affordable than all the other places I’ve been to. All of the employees are very knowledgeable and capable of fixing your issues. Highly recommended for engine swaps and repair also.

I have had Billy do work for me on many of my cars and also build fresh motors for me and he has ALWAYS exceeded my expectations. Great place, always honest and always fair on price. Their labor rate is one of the lowest in town but the work is always top notch for the price they charge. Thanks guys!!

Had the engine replaced in my pickup in March and couldn't be happier with the result. Billy and the crew did great work in a reasonable time frame.
Honest shops with integrity seem hard to find these days. JR's Garage is a hidden gem in Grain Valley. I highly recommend this shop.

I take all my automotive work here now. Billy recently changed the motor in my F-150. Eight thousand miles later all is well. All the guys working here are top notch, high integrity talent. This is the classic small town garage where reputation is everything and they absolutely stand behind their work. If your experience is anything like mine you wont be sorry.

I was well over an hour from home and my car started acting up. I wasn't sure what the issue was, but it didn't feel right and was making a very loud noise. I was able to get it to J.R.'s (the closet garage) at about 4-4:15 PM. Billy (the garage manager) diagnosed my car on the spot (collapsed brake line), worked me in within 30 min, and had me back on the road by 5:45 PM. He was very fair/reasonable with the price as well. It was amazing. I will be forever grateful to Billy and his team at J.R.'s Garage! Thank you guys so much! ♡
