Celebrating my first year with Meinershagen & Co. I enjoy running my business, and it's so rewarding to have Lorne and Ty handle my accounting. They make the process so easy. Email follow up has been great, and Ty is quick to answer the phone with a smile in her voice every time I call. Lorne has been very accommodating, and takes the time to answer all my questions and explain things in a way that I understand. So thankful for their partnership. If you're looking for a kind, personable accounting firm that excels at what they do, then definitely give Meinershagen & Co. a try. You won't be disappointed.

Lorne and his team are very thorough. So much so, when I switched to them last year, they found an error from the previous year that my old CPA made. They did not bad-mouth the previous firm. They just notified me of the mistake so that I could have an amendment filed to get the additional $4,000 refund.

I appreciate Lorne’s honesty, insight, and knowledge about tax saving. He can even tell you how you are doing on itemized expenses compared to others in your industry. That evens the playing field some for you compared to corporate businesses.

Finally, Lorne’s work ethic is over the top. Have personally seen how many long hours his vehicle is at his office during tax season.

If you are looking for a thorough accountant who will take great care of you, this is the team you want.

I echo Diana Solano's review below. Believe me, the service hasn't gotten any better over the past three years since she wrote her review. Meinershagen & Co is not the same company it was when Bob Letterman owned the business. I'm in disbelief over the way I was recently treated, and the lack of customer service I received when I reached out to them for help on a letter I received from the state of Kansas regarding my 2023 income tax return. Not only did Bonnie give me bad advice to cash a refund check that I received in error, but when I emailed her to let her know how extremely disappointed I was with her customer service, she responded back to me with comments such as "if you do not appreciate what we have done to accommodate your filings for tax year 2023, I wish you good luck in finding your ideal CPA" and "we are here to help clients who appreciate what we have done." Seriously???? I've paid them dearly for their services over the years and this is the way they talk to their repeat customers? Where's the appreciation from them for their customers? We're the ones who pay their bills and salaries. Do NOT expect anything from them as far as customer service is concerned. Once they have your money, they're done with you. What you can expect is to be disrespected, not valued and to be treated in a rude manner. Do yourself a favor - steer clear of Meinershagen & Co for your income tax/accounting needs.

It's really sad how downhill this firm has gone since it was sold off a few years ago- As far as the job, I believe they do it well and semi timely (Though it has been taking longer each year)- However- they have somehow managed to get ruder and less customer oriented by the year- It's really sad to see even the front desk/reception people have lost the smile and helpfulness they once had- I have delayed finding a new CPA for a couple of years now because it was convenient- they had all my info, but if you are looking to give new business to a CPA- find someone that will appreciate it.
