Lake Shore Plaza Event Space at Lake Lotawana

We had my bridal shower at Lake Shore Plaza this past weekend and it was truly amazing. Beautiful space, kitchen for prep, table and chairs for everyone. Jodi was amazing and responded immediately to any questions we had. Charlie our bartender was so great and so helpful. It was truly the perfect spot for the shower and I would highly recommend to anyone!

We had my baby shower here this past weekend. The space is so beautiful and huge! The shower turned out beautiful! Jodi is so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. And will for sure use it for future events!

I got married today at this space and it was beautiful. Jodi was unbelievably helpful, considerate, and so easy to work with! She truly went above and beyond for my fiancé and I’s big day! The space is so beautiful that you don’t even NEED decorations. It is a wonderful atmosphere and right across the street from a very pretty rose garden which was perfect for pictures. The bistro lighting hanging from the ceiling is a beautiful touch that I’m so glad this space offered! I cannot recommend this space, or Jodi enough! We had a bartender for our event, and her name was Whitney. She was also very friendly, helpful and all of our guests loved her. 50/10 recommend this space! I’d give more than 5 starts if it were an option. I will keep this space as my top option for any future events I have! THANK YOU JODI!

From the beautiful venue, to the extras offered by the on-site vendors, the team at Lake Shore Plaza made our day simply magical. Jodi was excellent and gave great recommendations. Charlie is an extraordinary decorator that made the venue come to life with our vision. And Whitney was wonderful and made everything perfect on the day. We had our daughter and son in laws wedding reception there and had a great time! The space was very pretty and we were able to use our own vendors for food/bartending/DJ which was awesome! Would highly recommend Lake Shore Plaza!

If I could give Lake Shore Plaza 10 stars I would! My new husband and I held our November wedding reception there and they were PERFECT! Because I was living in a different state for most of our engagement it was difficult to plan something here in MO. Jodi Hodges Wiles was fantastic at working with me and showing the venue several different times after booking it when I was in town, and again when my mother was with me. We also used Charlie (for Decor) and Lynette (Coordinator) and they could not have done a better job! I had Charlie do whatever she felt would look good after picking a few inspiration pieces from her warehouse; I saw the decorations for the first time at our grand entrance and WOW, it was beautiful and fit our theme to a T! Lynette did just as wonderful job too! She handled anything and everything with our many vendors. To a mishap with the cupcakes to handling the pizza guy at 9 pm. She truly made the reception run smoothly and without any glitches.

This venue fits 160 seated and it was the perfect size! I cannot say enough good things about this venue and their staff! Call them today!

This is a great venue for special events of all kinds...can't wait to check it out when it is warmer & get on the water as well! Kitchen is really large, 2 entrances, restrooms off the main room, plenty of tables & chairs. Wouldn't book it for an event with over 100 attendees.

Lake Shore Plaza is one of the hidden gems of Eastern Kansas City to host a private party, reception or shower. It has a beautiful fireplace, rustic stone walls and a lovely rose garden to have an outdoor wedding ceremony. The venue manager, Jodi and her coordination team, are always friendly, responsive and professional. Highly recommend!!

If you're looking for a space that is affordable, spacious, and accommodating look no further. Jodi goes above and beyond to provide a beautiful space that won't break the bank. I could not be anymore pleased with my experience with Jodi and Lake Shore Plaza. Seriously, don't ignore this space. It is absolutely excellent and so is Jodi.

Great facility great people very helpful and friendly and i can't say enough good things about lynette who was our coordinator! She truly went above and beyond and made things run so smoothly in the midst of utter chaos with it downpouring outside

Pretty views, nice layout and easily fit 125-150 people I'm the downstairs space with room to spare.
