Wilhite & Frees Equine Hospital

Great service. I’ve been with them for many years since moving my horse to Kansas. They are pleasant, knowledgeable and not afraid to collaborate with other vets for solutions or if you have specialty vets working with your animal. The only downfall is they don’t allow chiropractor referrals, you can only use their staff veterinarian.

Very helpful, very accommodating. We are absolutely horse beginners and they’ve never made me feel bad or embarrassed for not knowing something, but instead offer suggestions and advice and are helpful while not being pushy. I have really enjoyed my experience with them and our horse has gotten through her foot issues and is thriving!

Dr. Wilhite and all of his staff went above and beyond in the care of my Cleveland Bay mare Penrose Cleopatra. My mare was treated with kindness and respect. Many Thanks to all the staff!! ❤

Dr Frees did a great job accessing the horses and saw my little older mare had a crest and would be a candidate for an endocrine study so we are doing that. Great people! Horses happy! Wilhite and Frees are the best!

They are amazing! Their Doctors and staff are so knowledgeable and very thorough. I just did a meet and greet because you never know when an emergency may arise. I was very impressed they exceeded my expectations and highly recommend them.

The quality of medicine and care is unmatched. From routine annual work, to surgeries our family has always been pleased and thankful for Wilhite and Frees Equine Hospital. The entire team: office staff, technicians, and doctors all are invested and care for your horse like their own.

*UPDATE* I wish I could leave another 5 start review for the amazing staff at this hospital! Dr. Davis came out today, almost a year after my first appointment with her. Today’s visit was SO MUCH easier than the last after my mare spent a few months with the trainer and more hands on work with me at the barn. She remembered my girl, and she was just as proud of her as I was, which confirms for me that they are the best around! Love y’all, thank you again! ❤

Had my first appointment today, such a wonderful experience all around. I’m an hour away from the facility, and they were willing and able to make the trek out to my place for the visit. Dr.Davis and her team were punctual, professional, and patient with my bratty mare. Communicated all the information in a way that was easy to understand, and even addressed some things I had not asked about. 10/10. Will definitely be using them for all my future needs. The staff and veterinarians are caring competent and obvious animal lovers and animal advocates. Our horses have received 5 star care at each visit. We happily drive over an hour each way to see the best in the business.

I love Wilhite & Frees! They have been my Equine Vets for the past twenty plus years, and I use them for all my equine veterinary needs. In my opinion, they are simply the best in this entire area regarding diagnostics and treatment. The veterinarians are skilled, professional and caring, and they are excellent at explaining options and care. The friendly and knowledgeable support staff are top notch, too, and I always know that when I call the office, I can get the help I need whether I’m at home or need a referral when I’m traveling with my horses and need veterinary assistance. I am so grateful for the skills, the support and compassion of this wonderful practice.

New exam and chiro for a new 6 year old. Very positive experience, very thorough exam and recommendations. A chiropractic exam for my 22 year old gelding confirmed a little hitch in his right hind. Love that we can help my geriatric continue to be mobile and active. Thanks Dr. Frees!

Had to use the emergency services over the weekend, resulting in having to euthanize of one of my horses. Their team was prompt, kind and compassionate through the entire experience. They did not try to talk us into more expensive treatment options. They were completely honest with what they thought was best for my horse, even if it wasn’t the result that we wanted. We cannot thank them enough for what they did for us including the follow up phone calls to make sure that the foal was doing okay.

Over 10 years the Dr.'s and staff have treated my horses exceptionally well from wellness exams, to founder and melanoma. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend them, saved me trips to Columbia or Manhattan.

Dr Wilhite and his team conducted a thorough PPE on my horse and did an excellent job examining him & helping me interpret the results. He and his team have helped with my horses over the years and they are exceptional. Highly recommend them..

Dr. Davis and the team provided excellent care during our first appointment. She was kind and gentle with my senior geldings, and my needle shy boy did very well for her. I appreciated her patience with all of my questions about my gelding who gets vaccine reactions. Sydney at the office has been wonderful too. Very professional team!

Had a PPE done and the whole team was professional and organized. If I buy another horse in that part of the country again will use them.

I can't say enough good things about Wilhite and Frees. All the office staff that I've spoken with, Christina and Sydney are very knowledgeable and compassionate. Dr T made a farm call today for my horse. He is so good and tells me what's wrong in language I can understand. I love that they leave notes on the prognosis and treatment. It's a great reference point for me as I treat my horse. Thank you to all of the Wilhite and Frees staff. You are the best!

Our horse needed colic surgery and then had a couple of set-backs during recovery. The staff at Wilhite and Frees have been AMAZING-I really couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable and compassionate set of human beings to care for our horse. We will be switching our regular veterinary care to this group after this experience. Highly recommend!
