Hammond Park Kiwanis Shelter

Nice place for young kids, disc golf baskets, bathrooms ( closed in winter), and a couple of shelters. Used the bridge and the rock wall thing for my wedding.

Small but beautiful park that I've enjoyed since I was a child. Gentle rolling hills and plenty of large beautiful old trees. A brand new playground for kids and a nice sized shelter for parties and gatherings. It also had 9 hole disc golf course that's not difficult so it's perfect for us beginners. Overall A very nice and well kept park!

The shelter at Hammond Park is spacious, clean, and the roof covers well beyond the tables. It is really handy to have electric outlets right there in the shelter.

We typically bring plastic tablecloths or coverings for the tables. It helps to bring some masking tape so the wind does not create issues.

Flies are likely if certain types of food are brought, so coverings for the food are helpful. It might be wise to consider food safe bug spray or something similar if the type of food naturally attracts flies.

The shelter is close to the playground, which is nice when the children are playing.

Lovely setting, perfect for kids and families. Good playground area, plenty of picnic areas and recreational activities that would be great for families. The disc golf course is short and there are some decent tennis courts as well.

I didn't visit the shelter exactly although I did notice an updated playground for the kids. I was there playing disc golf. Hammond has a 9 hole course with plenty of trees. Many of the holes are pretty short for a great opportunity for aces.

Great Park come with the kids lots of room to run around nice playground facilities for the kids. Lots of room to walk around with dogs. Plenty of parking in the middle of the park and on its sides and there's even a public tennis court right in the corner

The playground has just been redone. It's extremely clean, and my kids just love the new playground. There's plenty of shade to relax under from the park's many trees! Love it!

Hammond Park has disc golf, a modern play ground, 2 cute bridges, restrooms, a large field, and a powered shelter building with several picnic tables.

Beautiful small city park. Playground almost always has kids playing. Small 9 hole disc golf course and tennis courts.

This is another beautiful park within the City of Emporia. Like with ALL the others, I wish people would pick up after themselves when at the park. I hate spending half of my time having to pick up litter around the park. There are cans provided by the city FOR A REASON!

One of Emporia's great parks that is well maintained. New playground for the kids and picnic tables and shelter houses.

Favorite place to play disc golf, never had a negative experience with the park or any of the players.

We love this park. It's in a good location, usually very clean, and with multiple options to keep entertained.
