Enjoyed a sack lunch at Freemont Park in Emporia. This Park is in the historic district of the city and displays a retired train Engine and caboose from the Santa Fe Railroad as the Park sits next to the BMSF rails. Clean and well kept. Tons of trains pass by daily.

Very family oriented. Places for Mom and Dad to sit and watch the kids on the playground. During the summer at 8pm The City Municipal Band plays old renditions of some of the classic songs by famous musicians and music writers. For example The William Tell Symphony and the Star Spangled Banner around the Fourth of July! Well worth visiting while you are here.

This is a quiet, neighborhood Park that kids and families enjoy in a safe neighborhood. There are frequent trains passing through the edge of the park the kids enjoy.

Summer band concerts are on Thursday evening from 8 until 9 p.m. By the Emporia Municipal Band. They are free.

I was actually here today not yesterday and enjoyed it because I grew up on that England Engine and Cabooses from age 1973 foreign International INS Division C e 1 Flaming Foreign Forwards and same on C e 1 based on being back to America in 1973 from Japan Japanese Pearl Harbor where I was born on the Dewight Eisenhower Sir Francis Drake on December 28th 1970 Silver Star Stamp and 1913 Silver Boxes 🔔 beautiful Walmart Walgreens walk in Freemont Park bench based on my father donated them tracksuits donated them trains Maryland Baltimore End!

Took my granddaughter there a couple times. She loved it but 45-50 years ago you could climb on them. Probably vandals 🚂 🚓

Nice little park in Emporia Kansas. The town really keeps it's parks updated, clean, and we'll manicured.
