Chi Em Eats

Chi-em is Vietnamese fused with the freshest offerings possible in Emporia. Don't be fooled by it's unassuming obscurity on 6th. It's a very clean store with recipes developed and adapted from Vietnamese roots. It's really good and they take some risks in trying to do some unique specials. I eat here a lot. Tofu is fantastic. Vegan options. I like the pork. Meat pies made from scratch. Owner employs locals and supports her staff. More than likely, you'll find her there, working. They also serve a selection of Asian beer and hard kombucha. The milk tea... Yeah, I like it a lot. They take their time to try to make things right. I'm a fan.

Delicious Vietnamese cuisine in an airy space with great service. I got the Bún with Tofu and it was amazing! Highly recommend. Also, Vietnamese iced coffee was perfect and not overly sweet.

This place has phenomenal food and is filling in an important hole in the community. Though somewhat slow, very much worth the wait. Pictured is the Banh Mi sandwich, spring rolls, and Com rice dish.

I had their shrimp bun and vegetarian dumplings, they charged my phone for me and the atmosphere is awesome so sad they are closing this week, it’s such a nice place to eat at !

Nice little place with a limited menu and great food. Loved the decor, spring rolls and the drinks. We'll come back again if we are driving past Emporia.

The banh mi nachos with lemongrass pork belly JUST CHANGED MY LIFE! Unbelievable flavor! Chips perfectly made (and getting it to go had the chips separate so they didn’t get soggy..), perfect portion. Will become a regular every time I’m in emporia now! Beautiful interior, friendly staff.. will be eating my way through this menu!

Great place to go for cheap and delicious meal. Closest thing to traditional Vietnamese I have had in a long time. Overall a very solid restaurant with a charming atmosphere and high quality food.

Great place for fresh and tasty food! They also have gluten free option and modifications safe for someone with celiac.

The fried rice was delicious, but the pad thai seemed to have too much vinegar. The atmosphere was quite pleasant. I'd definitely go again!

I have been looking for this style of food for a while. In Seattle, the Phở was so good! Chi Em Eats reminds me of a solid broth that is just right.

I can’t wait to go out for a ride, and come eat more items off the menu. I know I won’t be disappointed.

Personal preference, wish the Phở was hotter, love a good sweat!

We stop every time we're in Emporia. Healthy, tasty, clean food. Wish they had another location in Johnson County!

The food here is absolutely AMAZING! Highly recommend the spring rolls and the curry chicken! Michael gave excellent service and was great with our children! My compliments to Cash for cooking some delicious food. Both had excellent interactions with their customers! Thank you for wonderful dinner!

Honestly give this place a try, it's a gem! The place is adorable, the food was delish and everyone was super sweet. I had the chicken spring rolls with peanut sauce and Thai tea. They had some wonderful sounding Vietnamese coffees on the menu that I was really tempted to try, but I can't help myself when I see Thai tea on a menu. I should honestly start ordering Thai tea and a second drink that is new to me. Everything was delicious. The chicken in my spring roll was magical and I could eat that peanut sauce everyday for the rest of my life.

Stopped here during a long trip and we are so glad we did! The service was amazing, everyone here is nice, and the food is really really good. I haven't had a lot of Vietnamese food so I can't really give an opinion if it's authentic, but it seems like it is and is super tasty. Thank you!!

Great food and great atmosphere. The prices are pretty good and the proportions are not to bad. I had the pork belly spring rolls the first time and the pork belly sandwich the second. Both dishes were great. The servers were friendly and helpful navigating the menu. I will get eating here again.

I love the food and the atmosphere! I think the community seating is an awesome addition and help when you want to bring a large group somewhere or chat with some new pals. I go on Sundays to eat pho and it never disappoints! The pork belly and rice is also super good! I would recommend stopping by when you get a chance.

My husband and I love Chi Em Eats—it’s probably our first choice as a place to eat in Emporia. The meat pies are a favorite, but I don’t think we’ve ever had anything we didn’t like. We’ve been here many times and will come again as often as we are in the area in the future.

Hate to see them move onto their next adventure, but sure someone will bring us something new and exciting!

Our first time visiting there was great! The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is laid back. We tried the dessert and loved it. We look forward to going back!
