I am so glad to have a real tackle and bait store in my area again. B&W Bait and Tackle in Wellsville KS is an amazing, welcoming place with tons of great competitively priced fishing gear. If you fish for bass, whites, walleye, catfish or crappie in any of the nearby lakes or rivers you need to stop in. The selection beats the heck out of Walmart and can save you trips to billionaire Bass Pro. He’s got plenty of live bait including shiners AND fatheads as well as goldfish. And crawlers too. And he is open seven days a week. If you are from JoCo or KC heading west to fish Clinton, Pomona, Melvern, John Redmond, Coffey County or the Kaw you need to plan a visit and get yourself some jigs, bass plastics or Magic Bait. Or if you’re heading east to hit Hillsdale or the big Missouri reservoirs stop in and grab your bait and some lures, a rod or a minnow bucket or whatever you need at B and W. It is a fun, friendly local business that is worthy of support. And hunters keep checking in because he plans to start stocking shot shells and other ammo soon. Don’t miss a chance to patronize this good old school tackle shop with a modern vibe. B&W is here to make your angling outing a success.

Quite possibly the best bait & tackle shop I've ever been to, considering the helpful/friendly staff, inventory, and great prices. Their prices are better than even a Wal-Mart. I make up reasons to go back.

Very nice local family owned tackle shop. Staff were very friendly. There is plenty of tackle for crappie, catfish, and bass fishing. Competitive prices. If you're going fishing soon, stop by B&W Tackle.

Won't step in a Walmart again for anything fishing related. This place has them beat hands down. Everything you could want or need for fishing from budget to high end. You won't find a better place or selection. Staff is very friendly and greet you as you walk in but they don't hover or make you feel uncomfortable. The only thing that would make this place better is a few more lights. Great people, great selection, great prices. Highly recommend.

A very friendly place to stop in at. The owner is very knowledgeable. He is very helpful. The merchandise selection is very big. His live bate is fresh and healthy. His prices are lower than the big box stores. Even his fishing pole prices are lower than the big box stores. His minnows are cheaper than the local competition. I will be coming from Ottawa when I go fishing to purchase my minnows.

Best Baitshop I've seen in years! Excellent and Friendly customer service! Very good selection of Rods and reals and fishing gear. If fishing for small pan fish or big monster Cats or Flats and everything in-between they have got you covered at a price that beats all competitors! Only 15 mins south of Olathe Kansas so very convenient!

Super nice little shop, do not let the outside take away what's inside!! Pretty great pricing on tackle and poles, aerators as well, our first time coming here but we will for certain come back again!!
