Forest Park

I love this place! I've been coming to this beautiful park for well over 50 years, and still after all these many years every time I come I find something so beautiful I just want to share it with everyone. Yesterday was no different. From the mighty Oaks to Redwood's, trees of all shapes and sizes and in all different phases of their life span it's all so much beauty to behold!

The Forrest Park has quite a bit of history too, and from it's creation to now it has been well maintained and kept up in excellence by people who love the beauty it has to offer. And over the past few years they've even added more play equipment for children and a dog park for our furry friends too! So Forrest Park has something for everyone! A great pool, plenty of shelter to picnic in, a Frisbee course, Horse shoe court, baseball field and a paved walking path (have to share with vehicles) and so much beautiful grass to walk in, and lots of beautiful birds as well! check it out for yourself, I think you'll love it as much as I do!

Kids went swimming, and the rest of us, enjoyed the park. Beautiful area, beautiful place to go and take a break, they also have a place where you can skate board. 🛹

Lots of nice looking cars. A must see car show! Cruise nite is the best.

A great and will maintain park and disk golf course. Great for an amateur player.

Over the road gang are the best. All there dedication and hard work to put on such an excellent car show is appreciated by all of car enthusiast, THANK YOU

Beautiful park!! Great place to do family activities or just let the kids play.

Always great space for my kids BDay parties. Lot of stuff for the kids to do at brick shelter. And even a water fountain for people and doggies. Also have a water connect you can use for water ballons/guns!

Nice place to take the family for an afternoon/evening. Lots of space, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, picnic pavilions, and a disc golf course. And the city pool is right there.

We spent the day at the pool in Ottawa it was very clean it was very nice it wasn't that crowded the park has all kinds of activities for children and adults

Lovely park in small town Ottawa. Reminds me of my youth. The swimming pool is still there! I love the car show in ~Sept/Oct!

So much fun for the grandbabies and myself. Lots of updated play equipment! We love this park!

Many different amazing playgrounds for the kids. My wife and I enjoy walking around with our dog. And has a dog park for the dogs to run free.

I love this dog park. There is an area for big dogs and an area for little dogs. It is an off leash park, so you visit at your own risk.

Best park in Ottawa, dog park, disk golf, tennis, playground, shelters and swimming pool for summer.

Forest Park is a great park. It is the best small town park I've ever visited, and my family loves to visit small town parks. In fact, it holds its own against a great many big city parks as well. It has beautiful open spaces under huge trees as well as too many amenities to list. Sure it's my home town park that I grew up visiting, so I'm biased. But I've been a lot of places and very few compare to this wonderful park.

Lovely park, some of the largest black walnut trees I've seen in Kansas. Excellent place for a family outing.

Attended one of the largest classic car shows in the midwest.

Great park & play area! Had grandson, Ezekiel's 7th birthday picnic here Aug 26 at his request! It was nice to enjoy the sounds of summer with kids laughing, folks playing horseshoes & squirrels chattering & chasing each other. And lots of room for everyone! Only thing that could make it better is if it was air conditioned & had a river running through it😃 Really it is a fantastic park!

Experience here has always been good, nice little park for hanging out!
