Good food and good price. No where else will you find Irish-Mexican food!! Glasses of Pepsi are large and the salsa is good. Kind of skimp on the veggies in the fajita dishes.

Service was amazing. She came in on a Sunday just for our camping group. Now the food was just okay. Queso was too spicy way too many jalapeños in it. Food really needs an update. Overall still good I'd go again. Also salsa was way to spicy and it never use to be. Stop using so many jalapeños. Please.

We had a great waitress. It was her first day. She did excellent. And of course the food is always wonderful. Still I'd call them second on margaritas. As I still feel Villa patio is number one. But definitely worth going to this place. My friend had the chicken quesadilla. She said it was quite excellent.

Food was great, our server was very polite and attentive. Got a combo platter, which was very nice. General atmosphere was good, though a tad loud for my tastes, but certainly not enough to detract overall

Carlos has good food, pleasant staff, and a nice decor. However, for me the overhead lights in the central eating area are a little too bright when you are one of the side booths and it detracts from the atmosphere. Thankfully, they have a maze of cozy booths to the left of the bar.

I accidentally ordered the entirely wrong thing and the waitress offered to make it be the thing I meant to order and told me what the name of it was. And when I said I'd eat what I actually ordered, and still looked lost, she gave me the needed instructions on how to build/eat my dinner with a huge smile on her face. I'm pretty sure she was trying not to laugh out loud at me, which was fine because I was laughing at myself. She was amazing. I would definitely go back.

Always good food at pretty decent prices

The food is very good. Wait staff is very friendly and happy to help. The free chips and salsa is always welcome. The prices is decent and Love the cheap drinks on Thursday’s.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a free veterans meal at Carlos O'Kelly's. The moment I walked into the door the experience began. I believe the manager was seating tables and he was so respectful and kind, like genuinely loves his job kind. The waitress was sweet, the meal was wonderful. It was my first time there and I'll definitely be back. Thanks for the dinner!

The OG Carlos! A local institution and my daughters favorite restaurant. We love the queso and I love the cheap margs! Always seems a bit understaffed but everyone is helpful and nice!

Food was delicious. They have out door seating which is nice and the service was great. Will definately go again.

Been going here for something like 20 years. It has been interesting to see the chain grow and evolve over the years; I think they've done a pretty good job maintaining familiarity/nostalgia while also updating for the 21st century. You can get quite a bit for a reasonable price, and the food is good

The wait time was about 15 minutes so we asked to sit at the bar. (We are not drinkers) The bartender was pretty busy with "to go" orders but she integrated us nicely. I was happily surprised that she gave us serving plates and big spoons for our apps, extra napkins and I didn't have to ask. She was friendly and very on-point.

Mindy was our server this evening and she was absolutely wonderful. We showed up at 9:30 when they were going to close at 10:00 and we were still given such wonderful service. We had our food ordered and eaten and were out of the restaurant by 10: 10.

Our waitress was so nice & kept checking on us.. I didn't get her name but it was my birthday so she let me keep her Pure Romance ink pen.. It's so pretty!! Our food was very delicious & hot when she served it to us!! Thanks

I may be biased, have been enjoying Carlos for many years. Always great service. Love the Margaritas and great happy hour. Just ask if there is something you want, but don't see on the menu. Carlos will make it happen! Please support this local restaurant!

My girlfriend hyped this place up for months. It definitely lived up to the hype. The chips and salsa and queso were delicious, and the meals were excellent. They accidentally gave me a larger margarita than I ordered, but made sure to only charge me for the actual one I ordered. The staff was attentive and friendly. My only real complaint was the black beans side dish was not great, but everything else was quality.

Food and service were both great, as well as quick!

Food is good, though definitely more of an "Americanized" version, iny opinion. Portions are big, beer is cold. While not my go to restaurant, I wouldn't complain about going back.

Love, love, love this place! The seafood enchiladas are to absolutely die for! Cedar Rapids’ best Mexican restaurant!!
