Great customer service! Good food and drinks!

On this visit to Firehouse Subs, I got the Italian Sub on Wheat combo with Mac and Cheese for my side dish. I also got a New York Steamer for my dad.

The New York Steamer earned my dad’s approval. About the only issue he had with it was the saltiness but that was a minor deal.

The pickle spears (complimentary with the sandwiches) were crisp and fresh. Just the right amount of tang and crunch.

Normally, I don’t have white cheddar for Mac and cheese but this was pretty tasty. The sauce isn’t too runny or too thick. For anyone who might want to add flavor to it, the restaurant provides several different types of hot sauce packets.

As for my Italian Sub, I found it to be well made. Granted, it got a little soggy on the bottom but that was probably from the dressing added. All the ingredients worked well together and everything was fresh. I personally don’t think this sandwich would need any other sauce on it; doing so would likely alter the flavors and make it messier.

The subs are kind of pricey but the quality is without question and there’s plenty of options to choose from.

One more thing: this location has an electronic drink dispenser. That allows customers dozens of options for beverages ranging from Orange Fanta to Cherry Limeade (the restaurant’s specialty) to even cream soda.

If you’re craving a sub sandwich,you can’t go wrong with Firehouse Subs.

Food is always great! Best hot subs around. People are always helpful and friendly. Nice clean restaurant in a great area of town.

Always good food. The worker told me he didn’t like the look of the meat in my sandwich and if I didn’t like it he would remake it. Wouldn’t you just not make the sandwich then and not use the meat? That threw me off a bit but I don’t care it was fine.

Everette found and held a lost item for me and even recognized me when I went in to look for it. Talk about great customer service!

Friendly staff every time I am in, their salads are huge, and the subs are always good.

Good food and friendly service! Their hot subs are good and the Cajun chicken was only a little spicy. They have chili which is nice. Good sub shop in a good location. It looked clean and had a great experience. They had a lot of take away orders so it was a little slow and they almost forgot my chili but it was good.

USDA Corned beef brisket and pastrami, melted provolone, deli mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing.
It was delicious. Nice thing about these places is the menu is the same store to store. I've tried several sandwich places and this is my favorite. Sign up for the rewards program. The points add up fast. I really liked this place.

Recommend the Jamacian Jerk Turkey sandwich, but everything is good. Staff is friendly and always enough people working there to have things done properly and quickly.

Subs here are consitently really good and I like the unique theme on the interior.

Seems like I had a completely different experience, the atmosphere was inviting, we had the manager give about a 30 second run-down how the whole terminology linked to the food, a lot of options to choose from! They got both myself and Fiance subs perfect, time of day may have been a factor, we went there at noon on a Friday.

I was just in love with their ingredients and presentation, I usually go to Jimmy John's for a sub/sandwich but if I'm ever in the area I'm going to Firehouse Subs now!

I love this place. In my experience the food has been good every time and I've always been greeted, even when I'm just picking up my online order. Drink station was stocked and clean. The dining area was clean and tidy as well.

Definitely will be a regular stop for us and the $2 pickle buckets are awesome , I bought 2 and it goes to life saving equipment for firefighters .

I had the Smokehouse Beef & Chedder Brisket. It was insane! I've never had a sandwich melt in my mouth before. It was perfectly prepared, hot and delicious! Dan was great, but the whole crew was friendly and helpful. We will be back again soon.

The food is really good! Lots of different toppings and always delicious. The decor is really awesome with all the firefighter suits! Freestyle machine is always nice to see and the BBQ sauce station is an interesting touch.

First time I tried Firehouse Subs was when I was stationed in Mississippi and loved their food. To find that they are here in Cedar Rapids now is amazing! The food is still just as good and the fact that they also keep our service members (P.D., fire, paramedic, military) in focus with a donation and discount program is fantastic. I recommend this place of business to everyone.

Great tasting Sub, and awesome fire station decor. Place was busy, but they got our 4 subs to us in about 5 minutes.

So yummy! Had chili today and it was very good too! The place was packed but the employees kept it picked up and ready for the next person to sit. Nice job!!

I have been to Firehouse Subs many times this is the first time they asked me if I would like any additional ingredients at no charge. I don't know how long they have done this but it made my sub even better than it has been in the past. Fantastic engineer sub! I do recommend Firehouse Subs as they support other causes!

Great service, the staff is always top notch, the owner is there alot and is very professional.

Food is spot on every time, fresh cut meats, fresh veggies.
