Guttenberg Motel

An excellent place to stay! Rooms were perfectly clean, beautifully remodeled, and the owners are just great! Highly recommend staying here when visiting the area:)

The owner Ms Patty is the sweetest lady. I was in Guttenberg for work and had the opportunity to stay. I stayed in room #9 for 2 weeks and it was great!! Everything was super clean and smelled nice. The bed is comfortable and it even had a recliner which I took advantage of while watching TV after work. Coffee maker with premium coffee and a refrigerator. She would call and check on me to make sure I had everything I needed!! I would definitely stay again and recommend the Guttenberg motel to anyone needing a nice place to stay.

Patty and Dave are awesome, their little motel feels like home. The rooms are amazing, clean and homey. I am a travel nurse and I stayed there from 04/2022 -06/2022 and if I ever make it back to Guttenberg I will definitely give Patty a call. She was very accommodating with the dates I needed. I would definitely recommend the motel to anyone.

Excellent little motel. The rooms were recently updated and well appointed. The room was very clean, bedding smelled fresh and slept well. The check in process was the fastest I’ve ever experienced and when we needed to extend for one more night there were no issues. The Stadium Bar and Grill next door had great food and friendly service. Would absolutely stay again if back in town.

Patty and Dave were AMAZING hosts during my 3 month stay with them. ALWAYS very willing to accommodate my needs. Super friendly! Everything is decorated so nicely and SUPER clean! Highly recommend!

Gutenberg Motel was a Gem 💎 of a find. Forget the booking apps! On this trip we had experienced some very poor stays in chain hotels. 3 to be exact. Our final stay was the Best Experience of the 4 total and that was at the Charming and Privately owned Gutenberg Motel. The rooms are the cleanest most comfortable rooms you’ll ever stay in. Well kept and cared for this motel is home away from home. Beautiful scenery and a wonderful little town to spend the day or longer in. You won’t find a better place to stay in All of Iowa!
We loved it so much we plan on returning because it was that pleasant of a place to stay.

Beautiful rooms and exceptionally clean!! Owner is very friendly and hospitable!! They obviously take a lot of pride in their business!! Beautiful town!! It’s got a little bit of everything!! Will definitely stay again when I get back this way!!

We were bicycling the Mississippi River Trail and not having much luck finding lodging. The GM had 2 cancellations and we snagged them. Clean and tidy basic accomodations, restaurant next door, convenient store just down the street. And Patty and her husband were so welcoming!

Patty is such a nice friendly person. Knows the area, knows places you should definitely visit. Rooms were very very clean. Very well organized. Will be seeing her again and getting a room there again! Very very reasonable prices. Great location!

My family has stayed at the Guttenberg Motel many times. It is always the perfect place to stay when we are in town to boat and JetSki on the Mississippi River. Plenty of parking for our vehicles with attached water toys. The owners are very friendly. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable at an amazing rate. Love their outdoor deck patio area with fire pit. Love this years addition of the fancy, covered tent with nice furniture and solar lights. Nice comfortable place to get out of the sun but still be outdoors. There are large planters and hanging pots with gorgeous, colorful flowers surrounding the outside area. Just beautiful! We will definitely be back. Book early, they fill up fast!

We love the Guttenburg Motel! It's such a down to earth place to stay. Recently renovated, and the location is minutes from anything you need -- on foot! Patti is very accommodating for all of our needs -- we come with a group of families, dogs, and check in and out at all times, and she works with it all. I hope they're available when you book, it's worth it!!

Great place to stay for a great price! We stayed in room 2, which was actually as big as 2 rooms! Gorgeously renovated, complete with smart tv (with Netflix and YouTube included), comfy memory foam mattresses, a decent size mini fridge and microwave, and beautiful paint job and finishes. And the owner Patty is so personable and wonderful! A++!!!

We just love this place. We are a riding group that booked here to do some riding up and down the Mississippi River. Our 1st year here, we were so welcomed. The owner Patti is amazing and so friendly. It rained one night and the next day she had a tub of towels out for us to dry off our bikes, another morning, she put out a kurig, flavored coffees and danish. Another year we got caught in a monsoon on our way to the motel and she took all of our wet clothes and put them in the dryer for us. The rooms are very comfy, super clean, everyday we had clean towels. All the rooms have been updated , some rooms are bigger than others and suited our group very well. They built a deck off the back of the motel with use of a grill and gas fire pit for socializing. We have stayed her for several years now and would recommend staying here to anyone.

They made me feel incredibly welcome. I told the owners I was on a fishing vacation and they offered to take me out on their boat. Over and above service and very clean rooms. I couldn't say enough about this gem motel definitely a must stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Guttenberg Motel! The rooms are super-clean, well-appointed and the hosts, Patty and Dave Schwarz, couldn't have been nicer. We love visiting the town stores, farmers market, concerts near the river and the beautiful scenery. We'll be staying at the Guttenberg Motel every chance we get and can't wait to visit again. Great place to relax and unwind on their spacious pation/deck area, too.

This place is a gem. Our recently refurbished room was beautiful, immaculately clean and the beds were super comfortable. The service was outstanding as Patty is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! Will absolutely stay here again the next time in the area

Couldn't have asked for better hospitality from Patty and her staff! We booked 3 rooms for a wedding that we were in town for and the rooms were beyond our expectations. Patty was very accommodating and saw to it that we had everything we needed to get ready for the wedding.

I recently spent a delightful week with my mother at the motel, I must say the service was impeccable, the site as well as room was clean, neat and well kept. The staff were friendly, impressive and helpful, i was very impressed with the service we received!! Thank you for making our stay memorable!! Looking forward to returning for another wonderful stay.

Booked a room last minute and somewhat late this past weekend and the owner greeted us quickly and with a smile. Our room was SUPER clean and very recently updated. It was perfect for just the two of us. We had a fishing tournament early the next morning so the motel was close to the boat ramp. We will definitely stay again- the low cost was a plus!

If you're looking for a great place to stay with clean, nice rooms and an owner who is super nice. Then this is the place for you. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. If I'm ever in the area and there's a room available I'll be back.
