Eagle View Motel & Retreat

Beautiful resort. We were treated to an excellent view of the Mississippi River. Lots of birds to watch and fortunate enough to even see a flock of pelicans! We had pre- approval to bring our small dog and Kyle was very helpful and prompt for any questions.
Highly recommend- We will be back!

We stayed at the Dam View house. Nice view and enough parking for at least 4 or 5 cars. Very nice stay with roomy bedrooms and plenty of gathering areas. Super clean. Big deck in the back looks out over the dam.

We stayed at the Eagle View Motel August 18, 2023. What a hidden gem this is. We woke up to a view of the Mississippi River along with a beautiful sunrise. I can't say enough good things about the owner. He definitely went out of his way to make sure we got to the motel ok with an email and directions, along with a text also. The room was super clean and the beds were really comfortable. We will definitely stay here again without a doubt. I recommend the Eagle View Motel very highly.

We stayed here overnight during the first week of August. It has the greatest view of the Mississippi River and Wisconsin across the way, which can be seen from any of the rooms. There's a wonderful yard overlooking this view with lawn chairs, a picnic table, and a fire pit, which the owner offered to light for us. We will try to stay here again when traveling up this way!

Pet Friendly Great Rooms. The owner was very nice, super clean room with a million dollar view of the Upper Mississippi River Basin.

They also have a fire pit for beautiful night fires.

Truthfully everything is good.

The only con is Guttenberg is small and there is ZERO delivery for food. So my advice is get to town early so that you can eat supper.

Very nice place to stay for surprisingly cheap. I had booked the cheapest room available and didn't have high hopes as large hotel chains with the same cost are usually pretty dumpy but when I got here i was fully surprised. The room was clean, well furnished and decorated (especially with the eagle bed spread), and the bed was very comfortable. This is one of the best places I've stayed at in years and I hope to go back again!

One of the best places we stayed on our road trip June 2022! The owner keeps the place up well. Awesome view and atmosphere. The surrounding area of Gutenberg is great. I can't say enough about this place...keep up the good work!

Hi everyone, I was speechless at how great the Eagleview motel which to have two locations, but this one was right on the bluff overlooking the river as we had a major snowstorm coming through about 4 inches, but it was so beautiful. All that we had our own fire pit. The rate was amazing. Kyle was an amazing person to deal with on the phone to set up reservation and set up reservation to give you a code and slam Bam money gram easy Peezy and it was an amazing stay amazing rooms amazing all the way around.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to stay here due to last minute severe weather and travel issues. However, the owners were super understanding (we were to be in town for a funeral) and didn't charge us for the night. We had excellent communication and service despite our situation - we can't wait to get a chance to stay here, and make no mistake, we will. All signs are it is an excellent choice.

Place is awesome! King suite was clean, spacious, and has a decent kitchen to boot.
Got up in the early morning , made a fire, coffee....and watched sunrise over the Big Muddy. Doesn't get any better. Unplug the phone, enjoy.

Excellent motel with excellent location located at the top of a cliff overseeing the water. Extremely clean,comfortable, and relaxing . They were extremely accommodating. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaways or even if your traveling for work. I highly recommend this motel. The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Clean, updated motel with a great view! Owner is super friendly. Enjoyed having a bonfire at night and appreciated having a smart TV to watch movies. Would definitely stay here again. Guttenberg is a neat small river town with everything being super affordable!

This place is Great! Can't wait to go back! If you're looking for an amazing view of the river in a laid back spot, here you go! The owner is awesome and so welcoming (even helped us change our headlight. :) The rooms are nothing fancy but they're clean, have the essentials and come with a bonus fridge and coffee maker. If you're doing it right, you'll be outside staring at the river talking with Brian anyway! We absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will be going back as much as possible! Did I mention there is a fire pit?!

Anytime we pass through Guttenberg, we stay at the Eagle View. The contact-free check in was perfect for my family of 4. Room was clean, and we had everything we needed. Management is attentive, always willing to help when needed. And the view over the river was amazing!

The Motel has a beautiful view over looking the river. Eagle view is a place where you can go for a piece of mine. However the room I was in wasn't available for the amount of time I need it for so I had to move onto another motel but I will miss it.

So Peaceful, awesome view to before bed and so beautiful in the morning! Very clean and well maintained. I would love to stay here this fall! It would also be very beautiful in the winter. We never really got to see anyone to tell them how much we liked it!

Great little find - we stayed in the King/Queen hideaway room #5. Everything was really clean and comfortable. And great views! I really liked that we just got a key code to get in. We never actually met the people that run it, but they seem very nice from the emails.
