Red Covered Bridge

This is a pretty bridge, settled in some beautiful countryside, that wasn't t too hard to get to from Route 11 and 15. It is hard to tell if this bridge is on private property, and I didn't bothered to research its history. All that said, we took some nice photos from the road without actually going inside the bridge. The street view map from 2008 shows an abandoned house on the same side as the bridge, but it's since been torn down, and it was a good spot to pull over to get a closer look.

Great place to visit for a piece of our history. The Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society is painting the bridge, to help preserve it.

Beautiful bridge in a nice setting. Unfortunately, the graffiti vandals have been busy. Easy to get to with ample parking.

Small but easily accessible from Rte 11. Short drive.

Part of the reason for our trip was that we wanted to see some of the old covered bridges, and this was not a disappointment.
