So much fun; definitely worth the trip to ride on the ferry! I can't believe it's been in continuous service since 1817! The guys were very friendly and answered all my questions. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get across. When you arrive at the campground, I recommend going into the campground shop and getting the stuff to play a free game of mini gulf before returning back.

This was such a fun thing to do on a Saturday morning. You can take your car across the river, or just go along for the ride. It is a easy pace across the river, lasting no more than 10-15 minutes. There was a college intern who gave us the history of the Millersburg Ferry and was available for questions. The Ferry takes you to the Liverpool Campground which has a camp store and a legendary ice cream stand. Hours during the summer are usually 10-4ish and run Wednesday through Sunday..check out their Facebook page for lots of good information.

Millerstown is a lovely small town right at the banks of the mighty Susquehanna River on Rt 147..( nr Harrisburg) It was very hot so I didn't look too much around, but this park at River seems very relaxing and has a beautiful view.

Got on here from Millersburg. The Liverpool side is awesome. It's a campground. Plenty to see here.

Awesome views of the Susquehanna!

America at it's finest. Beautiful beyond words. The staff is awesome and extremely transgender friendly. It was worth my time. I would strongly suggest you take this trip through history. History in action at it's best. Support local business and organizations like this.

Round trip on a Friday with grandchildren was a great experience. Well worth the ticket price. Beautiful day. River level was good. Captain Tom was so pleasant, with lots of history shared with the patrons. Liverpool campground store had ice cream treats.

What an awesome ride on history. Worth every penny. When you are taking a friend somewhere, you should casually drive down to the water and wait for the ferry. It’s a surreal experience driving your bike or car into what feels like a very small ferry. Great experience. You can also rent the ferries for parties!

I am a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania and I never knew about these historical ferries. I was delighted when my friend and I discovered the ferries on a recent road trip. The ferries weren't in the water yet and still in dry dock but there was volunteers there getting it ready for a spring launch. Two ferries: the Falcon & the Roaring Bull travel back & forth from Millersburg across the Susquehanna River to Liverpool. I hope to come back this summer and take a trip in history.

We just so happened to find this while taking a scenic drive around the Sus Valley. Stopped to get out of the car and take a few pics. The ferry had a sign that said closed so we didn't expect much. Just as we were about to drive off, a distinguished gentleman appeared who turned out to be Captain. Instead of leaving, we went on a relaxing little voyage while we learned about the history of the ferry and the river it crosses.

Its not the Liverpool Ferry. I dont know why google keeps saying that. Its the Millersburg Ferry, always has been. Its in my town of Millersburg owned and operated by the Millersburg Ferry Historical Association.
The ferrys are lovley and well maintained thru donations and volunteers. Tje ride across the river is very relaxing.

Great little Ferry! I lived reading the history behind it while waiting for our turn across the river. Will definitely ride again to go shopping in Millersburg.

A nice walk along the river. They have 2 person swings along the path and picnic tables. Beautiful sights of the Susquehanna river. It was very clean and well kept. Sweet treats now open where you can get candy and ice cream.

A really neat ride over the river. It's hard to imagine a time when the only way to crode the Susquehanna was by boat. Really cool how they insist on using paddlewheel boats to keep it historically accurate.

Guide & pilot were friendly and knew a lot. I can tell they love their jobs.

It's a different perspective of the waterway. Really neat to see the town from a boat.

I would definitely go again.

My only frustration was that this really cool ferry was hard to find. No web site that i could find. Not really clear on what dates/times they run. On way to ramp site I saw only a single sign. I found the road along the water but where the boat stops isn't marked well and doesnt seem to have much of a parking lot or car waiting area. The landing on the other side is hidden in a huge campground. If Ferry organization reads this: please promote your awesome boat service better. People are missing out

Pretty good part of history. A vintage ferry, an icecream shop. We could also find a ferry boat in the park on the end near the hanging bridge
