Don Taco

We had lunch here. This place gets a lot of take out orders. They stay busy, but inside, there is plenty of seating. The atmosphere is calm and chill. I ordered chicken nachos. My husband ordered a shrimp bowl. The little one ate a soft shell taco. Everything tasted good. Fast friendly and good.

The menu has a lot of options on it. There wasn't a line, and the wait to get my food wasn't long. They make the food right in front of you. It's always fresh, and the quality is good! I've recommended this restaurant to many people, and they are always pleased with this choice!

I ordered their food tonight and they showed up in a much shorter time than they estimated. It was delicious and I will definitely order again. I feel so bad that some people tip them so little because being a delivery driver can totally suck depending on the customers. ❤

They give you chips and salsa on the side so i usually get a dontaco(bean cheesetomato lettuce rice steak chicken shrimp)bowl it comes with sourcream on the side ask for 3 corn tortillas and limes on the side, use the silverware to put the bowl stuff on the tortillas and squeeze that fresh lime and put some of the cerde/salsa/sourcream. The stuff leftover after you have the tacos you eat as nachos worth the complimentry chips.

I love me some Don Taco! The food is great and made fresh. The employees are always polite and helpful. The place does get quite busy on weekend nights and generates crowds from the nearby Levels club. But overall I enjoy the food and the service they provide.

Literally gone to this place since college. Now with fresh tortillas and still the same great food I won’t complain! A little pricey but overall good food!

My daughter turned me onto the steak and cheese quesedillas here with cilantro. So good! I wanted more, so we came back the very next day. I ordered mine without rice or beans. I think that's more of a burrito type thing, didn't realize they came with it. Use caution when ordering.

Best tortillas ever, esp in the ENTIRE Southern Illinois region. Highly recommend the quesadillas... Ask for extra toppings (they're sides) to top it off... Get the "green sauce" (salsa verde). Grab a couple tacos also on their fantastic flour tortillas. 👌 👌

$5 nachos on Monday, I got steak nachos. The salsa Verde has a really nice kick to it. I definitely recommend!

I’m from the southwest and never thought I’d find good Mexican food in Illinois! Let me tell you this is authentic!!! I called in my order and the gal that answered was friendly and helpful when I asked questions. The delivery driver was very nice! Next time in Carbondale I will be eating here!!! I ordered the ground beef burrito combo & Al pastor burrito combo DELISH!!!
