I have been so impressed with the care all at Striegel Animal Hospital have taken of my new kitten Pippa, I know she is in safe hands every time she is there, (which let's face it has been way too many times in her short little life so far!)

I highly recommend taking your pets to Striegel! Last Tuesday, my wife and I had an emergency with our dog Cooper. We called 8 different vets and Striegel was the only place that was willing to see him even though he was a new patient. Dr. Cressey and the rest of the staff were great to Cooper and they want to truly find out why he's having the gastrointestinal issues that he's having. I am so glad that we have found a new vet after our terrible experiences with our previous vet

Absolutely the best vet in Southern Illinois! They're a caring, calm practice that Yorick actually looks forward to going to. The vets and team are extremely knowledgeable and can take care of all needs from routine care, illness, injury, and even getting Yorick's passport stamped for travel back to Europe. I'm really glad they're adding emergency hours so I know we're in excellent, compassionate hands should the need arise.

When my mom and I needed to help our cat Sam cross the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Doggett was there with us to give us the time we needed, while explaining the procedure and timing with such care and humanity for a difficult but necessary task for our beloved family member.

When my sister's dog was diagnosed with coonhound paralysis, the team went above and beyond to help us with physical therapy, water therapy, and medications to try to reverse an uncommon condition with little to no literature or research available. Rory made a miraculous 100% recovery in no small part due to this veterinary practice.

They set a high bar for veterinary practices and even though we live in Scotland now, Yorick and I continue to trust Striegel with everything and do his routine care whenever we come back.

Took my cat in for an emergency check up. They fit her in their busy schedule and got her taken care of. They are super kind, calm, and compassionate and put my mind at a lot of ease when worrying about my kitty. They are very up front and honest and it truly feels like they love and care for all animals. My cat, poppy, ended up being perfectly fine and they sent us on our way with her being treated with everything she needed. Definitely recommend taking your animals here!!!!<3

I have been terrified of taking my animals to the vet since I had a horrible time with the passing of my 14 year old pittie girl at our old vet. Let me tell you this place is so much better!! They took amazing care of Leo. Friendly, caring, and knowledgable staff. Calming diffusers for him, soft music playing, they even let him play in a cabinet how he likes. Absolutely love this place and I plan on making this my other fur-baby's new vet as well!!

I’ve recently brought my paralyzed pup in for hydrotherapy in an attempt to get him walking again. We loved Dr. Doggett so much that we purchased a hydro package from them (for 18 sessions). Dr. Doggett was very attentive and kind to both me and my pup. She showed true excitement and care. Not only has Dr. Doggett been amazing, her team is amazing as well. During our session today the team was telling me how excited they are to be part of my pup’s rehabilitation and seeing his progress with each session. I also enjoy that they not only allow me to be in the room with the water treadmill but they ENCOURAGED me to be in there. Me and my pup feel so welcome. Thank your Striegel Animal Hospital for you kindness and expertise. You are all very appreciated!

shout out to Striegal Animal Hospital for helping my very sick cat, Maverick. They were great the entire way through. Special shout out and huge thank you to Tiana. They were so professional and caring to my fur baby, if it wasn’t for Covid I would have gladly given them a hug. They kept me informed with updates twice a day while Maverick was in hospital and was excited as I was as he made progress every day. It takes a lot of heart to care for every animal in your care and I guarantee you that Tiana will provide the best possible care for your fur baby as well. They have my eternal gratitude for the care and comfort they provided to Maverick. Striegel was actually not my first choice when I was selecting a Vet for my Great Pyrenees rescue just because I hadn't heard of them (this is my first dog I didn't know any vets). After calling around and not getting help from anybody, Striegel got me in to see them in a 2 day time frame when everybody else was booking end of November and I just couldn't wait that long.

After learning people in my family went to Striegel and Dr. Doggett was their vet I decided it was worth a try... wow am I glad I happened upon Striegel. Their customer service is unparalleled with any other vets I talked to in the area -- even to a new worried dog owner calling 3 times a day. They knew the answers to all of my questions and even gave me a call without me asking to check in on me and my dog. Dr. Doggett is VERY knowledgeable, kind, caring, and just all around a great Veterinarian and person. If you are reading this review wondering if this Vet is the right choice, I can assure you it is. Dr. Doggett will keep your pet feeling safe due to her not only being gentle with the pet in general, but she's also the only fear free certified vet in Southern IL. I won't be going anywhere else and frankly, why would you? I know my puppy is glad he went! Look at him!

I am pleased with Opal’s first appointment at Striegel! She loved all the staff members, from receptionists, technicians, management, and Dr D, who welcomed her with open arms and provided her with the best care. I am thankful to have been able to establish her as a new patient so she can continue to receive excellent care, treatment, and support for the duration of her life. Best Vets ever. Every person (and kitty) you come across is the best at what they do. I'd trust my babies with them for anything. They have so much to offer your pet in pain from aging issues, even hydrotherapy. I've had emergencies with my babies and they knew immediately what was wrong and we were in and out so fast, yet with such careful and thorough help. I highly recommend them!

Dr.Doggett was extremely kind, patient and knowledgeable. She put my mind at ease. The vet technician was really friendly, professional and compassionate. I love the office staff. They encouraged me to email if I have any questions. I highly recommend bringing your pet here for care.

Awesome people! They were very good with my little Buddy. They helped me figure out how to transition Buddy to dog food instead of people food. They actually got him to eat dog food. They didn't get in a hurry. Very patient. I'm staying with them. They actually care about their clients. I appreciate that.

my dogs are... kinda funny, okay? they're weird friggin' dogs, and among many other other things - yhe vet makes our male rather nervous... not only did Thor totally love the vet and assistants (a first) but the vet ACTUALLY LISTENED TO MY INPUT (another first, and a hugely validating one at that)
it started as just desperately needing to get his claws under control, but the staff is just really awesome and i believe we'll just keep bringing ours here

Striegel Animal Hospital, Dr. Doggett and the entire team have treated our Ranger like their own beloved pet! The time and attention they give each pet and their human is amazing. Ranger just had surgery this week and included was a post op photo from the staff, which we loved and appreciated.

Thanks for taking such good care of Zayda during her exam. She handled getting her vaccines better than ever before because of the time and love you showed her.

So thankful we found out about them, hands down the best vet office we have taken our cats to. Dr. Doggett and all the vet techs I have encountered so far are so nice and knowledgeable, they answer all my questions and never dismiss my concerns. They get down to the root of problems and come up with a plan to fix it instead of just guessing and treating like past vets have done in my experience. I seriously do not have one negative thing to say about this office, fantastic care and service, will never go to anyone else again! Thank you for all you guys do for our fur babies!

Best vet in the area and worth every penny for their knowledge and experience, plus the phenomenal standard of care! I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else. Even the receptionists and techs who do the handling of customers and pets are extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and tactful (shocking it's not that way everywhere, I know). It is always a pleasant experience for me and my pets. They aren't terrified by the experience and I don't have to worry about how my babies are treated while in the care of Streigel staff. I have heard some complaints about their prices, which is honestly unbelievable to me because all of their services are well worth the bang you get for your buck- try going to St. Louis and see if you get anything like them for anything near their price (good luck!)!! 30 out of 10 stars.
