The staff especially an older man named Jim who seemed to do it all and helped me well beyond his job and showed me the ropes as I am new to the RV world. The lady running the show inside and answered the phones was also so professional and kind to answer all my questions and seem happy to do before I arrive and when there believe her name was Brittany. I signed up for the membership because of how pleasant and helpful when I was left in a pinch by another spot I has paid for hook ups and water that fell thru. Thank you again and I will see you soon.

Our family has stayed here multiple times over the last 3 years. Always a 5 star experience. The cabins are lovely. Very clean and comfortable. The staff makes you feel that they are there to be sure you enjoy your stay. It's perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation. Highly recommend this KOA location.

We recently stayed at the KC East KOA. Great location if you are in the area for Truman’s library (we were) or any event at KC stadium. Friendly personnel and very accommodating. Very mature trees and lots of shade. Upon check-in and set up we had a problem with the pedestal on our site. Leg 2 was only showing 96v. They had a recent electrical storm and that was thought to be the cause. I used a dog-bone to use the 30 amp side of the pedestal which worked fine. The park gave us a nice discount on our daily rate for the inconvenience. Would stay again.

For everyone complaining about water. It is frigid and the park can not control the temperature. We tried to stay in communication with everyone. As far as serving someone a letter to leave for complaining about water, that is false. They were told to leave yes. It had nothing to do with water and everything to do with no tolerance for rule breaking. He had multiple warnings about his dog just being let out and running all over. Dogs need to be leashed. Also several complaints from multiple guests about noise and yelling. The new management tries to make this safe for everyone and the rules are in place for a reason. We have a zero tolerance policy.
On another note the “boyfriend “ is the 60 year old assistant manager.

We rolled in after the office had closed and there didn't appear to be any available sites shown for after hours registrations but there was a number to call. The lady that answered was able to find one more site that worked perfect for us and was near the bath house too. The showers were very clean and there was plenty of hot water. My wife said the water pressure on her shower was very low, but mine was very good. The site was a pull through and was easy to get into even after dark. The Wi-Fi was a little slow to connect, but once it connected it worked fine for email and browsing. If we're coming through this way again I would definitely stay here again, though next time I might call ahead since it's obvious they are a popular spot this time of year (late September). One suggestion would be coded locks for the bath houses, those make my wife feel a bit safer. Five stars for the great after hours service!

We broke down on the freeway about a mile from this KOA. They were great. They helped us every time we asked. We stayed for 2 days while we waited for our pickup to be fixed. Great stay!

Perfect for thru-travelers.
After hours check process was easy in laundry room attached to main building. Soft astroturf for tents.

Showers clean enough to go barefoot: 🦶

Had a great mini vacation with the family tent camping at this location. Site was clean, easy access to the bathroom. We played mini golf, rented pedal cars, did crafts and puzzles, went swimming, got icecream, and they even delivered firewood to our site. Staff was friendly, and helpful. Can't wait to stay here again.

My mother and I stayed here on our road trip out West. The manager Brian was so helpful and accommodating! Our cabin was very clean and the perfect place to relax after a long day on the road. I highly recommend this KOA location!

We did a tent site with electric 😀. They fire pits don't have a grill rack and no grills so prepare ahead. The tent site with electric is also turf so it's hard to stake the tent down. However, for kiddos there is lots to do. Ours have had alot of fun in the pool, on the jump pad and such.

KOA’s never fail to impress, with each location unique, yet familiar, they are the first choice for camping when possible. This was our first trip to this particular location and it was easy to setup our travel trailer and enjoy the weekend. The sites were meticulously maintained, providing everything we needed and more. The grounds were clean and beautifully landscaped, with staff routinely making rounds to collect trash so that guests were not burdened by the task, or bothered by the smell/sight of a nearby dumpster. The staff is truly amazing and service is top notch. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

This Koa was a perfect overnight stop on our road trip. Pros: park is clean, has green, a clean well maintained heated pool, laundry facility(bring your own coins). We had a full hookup back in site(91), clean gravel pad, pretty level. Hookups were clean and in good repair. Site was long enough for us to stay hooked to our truck for a easy departure. Daughter used the pool, great. They had a bubble area for kids just being closed as we drove in at 830pm. They also appeared to have peddle cars and a bounce pad, but we didn't have time for those amenities.
The cons, park is close to the road, but not right on it and there are trees and fences.
In our hard sided trailer we didn't hear it. We stopped at another KOA in Colorado on this road trip and this one was far superior! We met Jim on the way out and he cheerfully took our bag of garbage. Overall a superior experience for a good clean safe feeling overnight stop. For those who are purist campers..this is not a back woods experience, but it was enough out of the city that is was relaxed and green. We stopped here after spending a week with no hookups in a National Park campground, a long hot shower and running our A/C was just the recharge my family needed to complete the last leg home. Don't hesitate to book a night or more at Jim's KOA. Thanks Jim!!

My sister and I reserved a Kamping Cabin. It was delightful, until 1AM when the rain outside started sripping on my shoulder. The night caregiver responded immediately, moving us into the deluxe cabin that was available right beside us, plus refunded us. The Kamper Kabins are very nice but have few amenities. The deluxe cabins are wonderful and provide additional amenities, including patio with furniture, firepit and a gas grill. Every cabin has a covered front porch with a porch swing. Each staff member we have encountered has been friendly, helpful and gracious. I am truly impressed.

We come here every year for our shakedown trip. It's fun to see the improvements they add each year. We have always had a good experience here. We only had one problem a few years ago, they took care of it so fast I don't even remember what the problem was. They were written up in one of the RV magazines for the solar energy system they are setting up to power the campsite power pedestals.

Great customer service.
Fast check in.
Clean rv park.
Full hookups.
They had a large pull through for our rv and trailer. Family oriented and family run business. They also have propane which is a huge convenience. Rv pad could have been a bit more level but I am very happy with our experience here.
They have showers, a pool and laundry on site we didn’t need them also a plus.
Pet friendly they have a fenced off area for dogs.

Stayed for the weekend. Staff could not have been nicer. Kids had a blast (and burned a lot of energy) on the pedal go-kart track. Hosted my daughter's birthday party at our campsite on Saturday. We had a pull through spot with a great large concrete patio, fire ring, patio furniture, and a nice newer large gas grill. Kids were disappointed the jumping pillow does not go up until May when the pool opens. There is construction going on currently and looks like they are updating a lot of their buildings/campsites. We had family stay in one of the small cabins. It was very clean, decore was cute, and they said the mattresses were comfortable. We did not use the campground bathrooms/showers so cannot speak to them. This is a city campground close to KC activities. If highway noise bothers you this may not be the campground for you. It didn't bother us and it was a nice weekend getaway spot close to home. We would stay there again.

We were traveling from Boise Idaho to Hudson Florida, with our 5th wheel dry due to cold weather, arrived in Kansas City, hadn't had a shower in 2 days, asked to fill up tanks so we could stop down the road and shower. They allowed us to fill up, and use their shower facilities no charge! Very nice clean park, friendly ...definitely stop again next time as paying guest! Thank you!

We stopped here in the midst of a cross country road trip. We got in late and Jim was so helpful in getting us to our tent spot and making us feel comfortable. Definitely not the most scenic/serene camping spot, but it is more set back from the highway than we thought it would be and it does the trick for a pitstop close to convenient amenities. It seemed very well kept!

We like this KOA it is right off interstate 70 with a TA truck stop right across from it. While a little on the older side it has been kept up and someone is updating it and it shows. The showers and bath house are kept clean and the pool is clean and nice too. The store is well stocked with souvenirs and some RV supplies. The staff is very friendly. Have stayed here on our trips 4 times.
