Absolutely breathtaking! My husband and I stopped in because we googled “botanical garden” and it came up. It did not disappoint! This is actually someone’s private garden and we are so thankful that they decided to share it with us. FYI There is no cost, but donations are appreciated.

The most magical place on Earth! It’s like being transported into a landscape that only appears in dreams normally. My baby sister and her hubby were married here. This place is truly transformative to any being.

How amazing to open your own home and share it with the world! So gorgeous, we only wish we would have had more cash to put in the tip jar (maybe add a venmo qr code!?) more time, and a packed lunch for a picnic. thank you!!

One of the top places to visit in the entire U.P. Thank you for providing an oasis of beauty and goodness in this world. Your hard work to provide such a treasure is so appreciated! To all who are lucky enough to go see this majestic spot, be kind, respect the gardens and the owners, and please leave a donation if you can 🌻

Took my 9 year old here for a tour of this garden space in early Sept on a Sunday 2021. We are ourselves are avid gardeners with a large plant collection and creative artistic display so we were hoping for a more well-tended to garden, but the features were very nice regardless of the lack of deadheading!😁 .

Our favorite features were, as to be expected, the water feature, a rambling 200' or so small creek with 5 foot waterfall leading to the carp river. The dahlia beds were also lovely showing many types, including cactus, ball, dinnerplate, variegated, black, etc. There was a lovely patch of yellow crocosmia, a favorite of mine. All in all, Needs a bit of work such as deadheading the dahlias to get bigger better blooms! Or basic gardening needs - but I'm guessing it is privately owned with not a lot of help or time to garden. It could use a refreshing of plants also. There were quite a few unfinished plots, though maybe july would be better. There was a huge mansion type house next to it that, I'm assuming , was the owners?. Theres not a lot of information to find these details out. It feels like stepping into a rich person's highly landscaped back yard, so a bit awkward and not a lot of soul to the place but the Yooper version of it so with huge pines and jagged rock outcroppings along a pristine river. Worth the 10 minutes to drive here for sure! I'm glad to see that there is a garden up here! That's a great start!!

Lovely, massive garden! About a 20 minute hike out to some waterfalls out in the back, but it can be a little overgrown. Visit with the owners/keepers if they're out working, a great couple of guys!
