Perkins Orchard

I’d come across the Orchard through an IG reel and I had to check it out for myself. I live in East Raleigh and RARELY travel to Durham but I’m so glad that I did! We met the owner and he gave us the full history of the farm stand and showed us around. This place is clean, organized, and such a great deal for a beautiful variety of produce. The fill a bag for $25 is a sweet deal. I got everything I need for a fantastic Mexican inspired meal. Get yourself to Perkins Orchard and get yourself a bag full of goodness!

Black owned local business and local produce. Out of butter beans and peas but beautiful green beans. I got a full bag for $25 plus they always have a free item. It weighed 8.5 lbs This time there were five choices! I chose a dozen free range eggs.

I’ve been to Perkins Orchard a few times now and continue to be amazing by the mission, community-like feel, and overall energy of it. This unique business is unlike any other - and the “fill a $25 bag” perk really meets the hype. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed you did. I can’t wait to go back!

So I did a thing today. I went to Perkins Orchard for the 1st time. I met the owner got the tour. I got the fill the bag offer for $25 and got the eggs for free. This is a Must do if you are about your health. I didn't get any meat this time but now I know they have fish and chicken that's my next trip and I got The Raspberry Jam omg! What a bargain. I'm about eat some of this good food. Thanks for being.

Very nice produce shop and the equally nice founder/owner gives tours for first-time visitors. There’s also a gift shop a short walk away on property. We bought a bag’s worth of fresh produce for our pot roast and they were all delicious! We were visiting from Florida.

My first trip to Perkins Orchard and I am a customer. If you haven't been, you will love this place, and the history lesson you get is worth the trip by itself. They carry just about everything and anything one would need, everything is very fresh and the display is lovely. I would highly recommend making the trip!!!

I have always driven by this place on my way to somewhere else and man, have I been doing myself a disservice. It was amazing. The owner is wonderful and has a great intro for newbies. The $25 fill-the-bag deal is amazing and they have a decent selection of locally raised meats.

I go there often, but today I went on my lunch break because I will start juicing tomorrow. It was a quick in and out. I got the $25 bag and I was able to get right much stuff. They did not have my oyster mushrooms and I was disappointed but they had plenty of other fruits and veggies. The customer service is great and they are very helpful. I highly recommend it. The picture doesn't do it justice. I also have more garlic underneath the carrots and I also got muscadines.

I really enjoyed Perkins Orchard!!! Fruit is so fresh and the Turkey bbq was amazing. First time visiting and learned the history of Perkins. I will be returning to get more fruit and veggies. Highly recommend, and it’s black owned which is a plus! 🤎

This was our first time here and it WILL NOT be our last. A friend of mine posted her bounty of goodies on Facebook. So I told my family we were headed there the next day. We got up early because it's a 30 min drive from where we are. It was worth every mile. Being a real estate agent I take customer service very seriously. We were greeted upon entering the facility and asked if we had been there before. We hadn't so the owner gave us a tour and and awesome history lesson of the orchard. This was a beautiful legacy. He had been working there since he was 10 with his grandfather and now at 26 he's still there and the owner. Talk about legacy. The grounds are well kept and the display of the food is awesome. I really like the $20 bag deal. Go visit and find out what it is. I can't wait to bring my parents here. Thank you Donovan Watson for keeping your grandfather's vision alive and well

Really enjoyed our visit to Perkins Orchard.
The $20 bag was a great way to try out a lot of inventory. Some of the sweetest grapes I’ve ever tasted came from Perkins.
The owner Donovan was very active. He came right up and gave us the first time visitor’s tour. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. Great place to visit, I recommend giving Perkins Orchard a visit!

Open 9:00 am until 8:00 pm. Most of the Orcahard is pet friendly. Parking is past the buildings. Make sure you are watching your GPS, or you will drive right past, but this place is worth stopping. The owner is happy and energetic. His passion for people and produce make for a unique shopping experience!

Produce Building- the home of the $25 produce grab bag! Anything you can put in the bag for $25! They have fresh produce, everything from tomatoes, lemons, limes, green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, and so much more!

Watermelon 🍉 bins- grab your watermelon mine was juicy and sweet!

Green Building- it has soups, lemonade, meats, precooked Bar-BQ, cheese straws and sooooo much more!

They have pumpkins 🎃 and 🎄 Christmas trees.

The best little fruit stand / Orchard in the area. The produce is excellent. We got a fill your own bag for $21.50 and had the best Pico de Gallo and salads for the week. They threw in a free pineapple which was one of the best pineapples I've ever eaten. Thank goodness for a place like this so close to home

i have never felt more fulfilled and welcomed buying produce. the location is beautiful with the trees incorporated into the buildings, the produce is delicious, everything is reasonably priced. the mini tour was fantastic. i drive down from central virginia every week just to visit favorite places and this is on the list now. amazing. thank you, thank you.

I discovered Perkins 2 years ago and have been going back ever since to get the 99.00 cart full of the coolest pumpkins/gourds ever! You also get a full bag of veggies and a canned item... I put up my Fall and Halloween decorations early and so happy to shop local. I deeply respect Donovan for how he has kept the tradition up and keeps things running smoothly. It is not small task to run a small business and keep everything flowing. Ignore the negative reviews - they are completely not correct and over hyped.

Lets just be kind and support local... there are certainly enough big box stores.

I've turned a few people on to Perkins and will continue to do so... My primary vocation is Director of Quality, Engineering and Release. I have 100's of customers... I can spot good quality and customer service miles away.. I can also identify poor service... there is zero evidence of any poor service.. keep going gang.. you bring back many nostalgic memories of all the farm stands in New England and are the only one that takes me right back home..

It was a great day to shop produce at Perkins on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Their selection is unmatched and with the $20 bag deal, why wouldn't you shop here regularly. Can't wait to try my freebue homemade apple butter with the bag deal. Love this place!

I went back after a few years, and like always, it is such a welcoming place. The owner and the employees are so nice and helpful, their produce selection and quality are great. You have to buy the oyster mushrooms from here!

What an absolutely amazing place. There $25 bag deal is fantastic. You get such a better deal than the farmers market and the store. We will definitely be getting our produce from here from now on. The staff were very friendly and kind.

Friendly staff ready to greet you and tell you the history of the fruit stand! I did the $20 bag deal and ended up with what would have cost $30 at a grocery store (I added everything up online out of curiosity). Will be returning!

The fruit is always delicious and sweet and you can't beat the $20 bag fill-up with an extra free item. The vegetables are equally delicious. You can even purchase beef, pork and chicken. The owner and staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoy our visit every time we go. Highly recommend!!
