I had David replace my relic of a factory stereo with a new, fully loaded Pioneer NEX floating display unit. I've owned my car since buying it new in 2004 and it is my 3rd child (ask my family!). I'm always hesitant to let anyone work on it, and definitely have some OCD issues, so I did my research and decided on The Sound Center based on the reviews I found online. I stopped by the shop one day in early February, talked with David about what I was interested in doing, and found him to be a genuinely sincere, nice, and extremely knowledgeable person. I made the appointment for 2 weeks later and the rest is history.

If you are in the market for a new car stereo, or any other electronic accessory for that matter, David is the guy. His work is meticulous, professional, and all around amazing! I dropped my car with him at 8am and he had the new head unit, SiriusXM, and backup camera installed before noon. When I picked up the car, he took the time to sit in it with me and run me through the new setup, answering all of my questions with no hurry to move me along. Besides the new setup, the best part of this whole experience was the fact that my car looks no different than when I dropped it off with him, other than the killer new system he installed.

If you have concerns about how an installer will handle your car during the installation, or how the final installation will look, I can't tell you how pleased I am with David's work and how much I would recommend him to even the most discerning of customers.

Oh, and I didn't even mention that he initially offered to price match the competitors (e.g., Crutchfield, etc.) and quoted me an initial price on the head unit that ended up being less than the competitors' prices in the end. He was true to his word and only charged me for the originally quoted price even though the advertised price was several hundred dollars more. Integrity is hard to find these days, but David is a model of it in his work and business practice.

Go see him if you are in the market for a new system for your car, he is, by far, the best around!

Wow! David was awesome. I got a full speaker replacement and it was done with care and quality. It also took way less time than expected! I also had my check engine light on and he offered to give me the diagnosis on the spot. Great guy that really cares about his business and reputation. DEFINITELY recommend to anyone needing their services. 11/10!

David fixed my car audio right up after a failed "friend installation attempt" of an 8 inch sub/power combo. Don't let your friends do things, let the pro do it. 😎 totally worth it.

I needed a dashcam installed. Living in Cary, I began my search nearby. Reviews of other places weren't good and those with favorable reviews were overpriced. I read David's reviews and had a good feeling he would do a great job. I was right.

When I met David, I got a good feeling right away. He comes across as a friendly, trustworthy, no B.S. kind of guy. He's the only guy in the shop and said he's been doing this kind of work for 30+ years. I can tell.

He got me in right away, early even, as I arrived before my appointment time. And, he ended sooner than expected. After he finished the installation, he showed me everything he did and helped me get started with the dashcam operation. He even helped me with a couple other little things that were bothering me with my new car. I'm a stickler for good service and David went above and beyond.

After he finished, I asked for a quote for a new set of speakers. It sounded very reasonable, so I'll most likely be going back very soon. Well worth the 30 minute drive for me. Thanks David!

Called Dave over the phone for an install of an Radio for my 04 BMW.He knew excatley what needed to be done, very knowledgeble.
1. Very nice clean work
2. Lifetime warranty on install.
3. 100 $ cheaper than the guy down the road.
4. One week turnaround vs. 2 weeks than the guy down the road.
5. Last but not least, HE EVEN WASHED MY CAR, very nice touch and I did not even asked for it.
6. Very Happy does good customer service still exist.

David has done work on five vehicles for me. He is outstanding. Prices are very fair. His wiring work is clean, professional and absolutely correct. There is no sales pressure, no hype and no bull. He's an honest man and a full professional at what he does. I trust him completely.

David expertly installed an Alpine replacement factory upgrade on my 1992 Mercedes 500Sl which included removing all of the "accessories" that went along with the stereo originally in this car since 1992. A bit a of tedious process, but David mastered it. However we did not throw any of the original components away(for the next owner). Highly recommend!

David did a fantastic job on installing some back-up LED lights on my truck. The kit didn't come with hardware (packing error I'm assuming). David, said "no problem, I'll run to Lowes a grab some quality hardware." No complaining or hassle. Super solid work, fair pricing, and a very personable guy. I have other projects and vehicles, and he is definitely getting my business.

I had a back up camera installed on my 2013 Prius today, so I can't speak to the life of the electronics yet, but I can't say enough good things about the service! David was accommodating to figure out an appointment time, gave a very reasonable price for the installation, was very friendly, and even invited me back to see what the process entailed which I found fascinating. I've only had a couple of chances to use the back up camera so far, but so far so good. Would definitely recommend David for any electronics additions to your car!

This business is David. It's a one-man shop, and he's the only man you need. Deep knowledge, fantastic service, and highly personable. I really could not have asked for a better experience.

Had an appointment with David for 11 AM Monday. Got right in and my new dashcam was installed in around 45 minutes. Permanent wiring completely hidden and installation looks great. Dashcam works just fine. I certainly
recommend Sound Center.

2019 Honda Civic EX - speakers, sounded deadening, amp install.

I waited about two months to write this review just in case something went wrong. Nothing did!

David did a great job installing sound deadening on 4 doors, installed 2 sets of component speakers with tweeters, and installed an amp to those speakers at my request.

Not only did he do a great job, but he finished the same day about $100 less than surrounding shops. He even used 8 gauge wiring instead of the 10 gauge the other shops were going to use!

If I didnt just move, I would come back to him for the next sub/amp install I am planning in a heart beat!

I could not have asked for a better experience! I'm usually the first to dismiss a place that has no website, or hours listed on Google Maps, but they were located across the street from our hotel and had great reviews so I gave it a shot and boy am I happy we did!

We called them Saturday morning on one of the busiest weekends in the triangle because the speakers were going in and out but the tweeters kept working. David couldn't promise he could fit us in but we were willing to drop the car off and hope and we were rewarded. A few hours later the speakers were working again and the hours I'd spent diagnosing was resolved by replacing the two front speakers, diagnostic and labor all under $200. Very happy customers here, I think with a working website and some hours on Google they'd be killing it!

Excellent work by David; very professional job. Retro-fitted my car with a rear view camera that displays in rear view mirror. Reasonable price all inclusive. Terrific person to do business with. I have already recommended him and would have him take care of any other upgrades.

Dave is really a Professional. He verifies what you need, communicates the work as he progresses, and verifies everything with the customer before the bill is settled. Nothing to be said other than excellent. I will be returning as I need more work. Dashcam and back cam installed within 1.5h. Very clean and on point.

I had a new radio installed on my Ford Explorer. It looks great! Sounds great! It only took a hour to complete the job. I love how his work has a lifetime guarantee and the electronics have a year warranty. LGBT friendly as well.
