We’ve ordered 3 cakes on 3 different occasions and each time the cakes were awesome. They tasted great, the delivery was very prompt, and I loved how it was packaged each time. Lyla Jones Cake Studios created my son's graduation cake, and they did an EXCELLENT job. The cake design was exactly what I asked for. I couldn't be happier with how the cake turned out. Not only was the requested design perfect, but the cake was DELICIOUS!!! It was gone in minutes! I highly recommend and will be using Lyla Jones for me next event.

I had a Boy Story cake made for my baby shower & it was absolutely beautiful! Everyone at the event loved it & the flavor. The icing is buttercream. It was delicious! I would highly recommend this business.

So every year I throw my husband a Halloween birthday party. This year I went and ordered a custom cake. And can I just tell you it did not disappoint!!! The cake itself was amazing looking, tasted delicious, and was one of the first things to go at the party. Not only that but they were extremely easy to work with. I had to go through FB since I was deployed at the time to set it up. They were extremely helpful and got back to me almost immediately. This company will be my go to for our Halloween cakes from now on!!! Thank you Lyla Jones for adding that extra touch to our party.

Lyla Jones Cake Studio made my husband’s 50th Birthday extra special!! We ordered an Indiana Jones cake for him.I can’t say enough wonderful things about this bakery!! They made the whole process so simple! They are prompt with response and so wonderful to work with!! They created just exactly what we were envisioning but it was even better! I was so happy I found Lyla Jones Cake Studios via an online search! I needed a cake for my nephew’s 21st birthday, and the cake they provided was a delight to the eyes and tasted REALLY good. The birthday boy was satisfied and I earned brownie points for providing such a delightful cake. They provided prompt feedback when I reached out to them and were clear about the cake design and pricing. I highly recommend!

Let me tell you about this cake. I only was able to get a picture of the cake because the cupcakes were gone in zero point 2 seconds.

I ordered a custom Minnie mouse cake from Lyla Jones cake studios a week before my daughter's 4th birthday. I was so grateful they could fit me in since it was short notice. The cake came out so beautiful. My daughter loved the cake and couldn't take her eyes off the cake. We got so many compliments on the cake. The cake was very moist and delicious.I want to give a special shout out to Shawn ( I hope I'm spelling his name right). He was so sweet and help guide us with removing the Minnie off the top of the cake over the phone. He also gave us special instructions on how to cut the cake. I really appreciate all your help. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I was absolutely floored by its stunning appearance. The intricate design and attention to detail made it a true work of art. But that was just the beginning! As soon as I took my first bite, I was blown away by the delectable flavors that danced on my taste buds. The cake was moist and perfectly balanced, and the frosting was a heavenly delight. It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated, and every mouthful was a delightful journey of taste and texture. It's beyond evident that a lot of love and skill went into creating this masterpiece. I absolutely loved the cake created by Lyla Jones Cake Studios! They were very prompt in contacting me back when i first inquired about their company and the cake I wanted. They continued to be very informative and helpful through the whole process. The cake I got was a combination of two cakes I got inspiration from and this company provided exactly what I was looking for. Also, it was delicious! I usually don’t like fondant but theirs is soooo good and I actually ate it with the cake which was awesome. I put the cake topper on myself however they did offer to make a custom fondant topper. Pick up was smooth and they helped me make sure it was secure before I drove off . I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a yummy cake with a great design.

EVERYONE needs a birthday cake on their birthday. EVERYONE! And these cakes will make anyone feel special and bring so much fun to your celebration.

I was able to order a cake with less than a month's notice. The team was responsive, patient, energetic. Communication was clear and the pick up process was easy. I also thought for the craftsmanship and detail, it was very reasonably priced.

My daughter and my Facebook feed LOVED the Chick Fil Cake. It was so life like and it tasted delicious.

I had the best experience working with Lyla Jones Cake Studio! I needed a cake for my sisters baby shower, and being from NYC I didn’t really know of any good cake studios. Someone recommended Lyla Jones to me and based on their great reviews I was hopeful. They did not disappoint!!!

I had a s’mores cake made for my sisters fall themed baby shower and it was absolutely amazing. Not only did it look AMAZING but it also tasted amazing. I did a chocolate cake with marshmallow filling. It was such a hit at my event. Everyone loved it. I could not be happier with the outcome. 10/10 recommend!

I will recommend Lyla Jones Cake Studios to anyone and everyone! When I was looking for a groom's cake for my wedding, I contacted a lot of cake shops. Lyla Jones was without a doubt the easiest, most responsive, and professional shop. The cake came out better than I expected and all of our wedding guests, including my now husband, adored his NY Islanders cake. Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted delicious. We didn't have much left after the rehearsal dinner. If you're needing any sort of cake, Lyla Jones Cake Studios is the place to go!

I stumbled upon this store on accident one day and was floored by a Disney “Ratatouille” cake in the window they had created.. from then I knew I had the perfect idea to get Lyla Jones Cake Studios to create whatever vision I could come up with for a future birthday surprise party.

Lyla Jones’s Cake Studio didn’t disappoint. In fact they exceeded my expectations. Planning for this event took time and I had so many ideas I was trying to put together .. I think I would have driven anyone mad.. but they were patient in helping me see my vision come to life in the form of cake!
They even had someone call me to help ease my nerves about how good they were and how floored myself, the recipient and guests would be and again .. they didn’t disappoint.

The birthday girls’ first reply was,“Holy @%#*!” Followed by nothing but singular “Wow’s!”, for a little while.

Once everyone stopped commenting on how amazing the cake was after its unveiling .. it was time to actually serve this work of art and let me tell you it was so beautiful no one wanted to even cut into it!
Once we finally settled on the least damaging spot to cut into and yet preserve it as long as possible .. the next comments after moments of a semi silence, as all that was audible was the licking of fingers and forks and the smacking lips for a few minutes… was just how delicious this cake was. Some exclaimed how moist it was while others added in about the buttercream chocolate frosting being so rich and creamy. I had also selected that the cake be layered chocolate and vanilla cake to suit everyone’s palate and even that garnered a comment as to how the two flavors were distinctive but perfectly fit so u didn’t just have a cake that appeared to look like vanilla and chocolate it literally tasted the way it’s looks promised.
It has now been over a week and we are finally down to just a tad bit of cake left over and we are sad to see it gone..

At this point no grocery store or homemade cake will ever measure up to this incredible work of art .. and I hope to have another occasion to warrant getting another creation going sooner than later.. but I intend to keep tabs on Lyla Jones’s Bakery for any excuse for me to replicate this experience again!

Naturally, something as extravagant, detailed and awesome is going to cost more than your average grocery store sheet cake .. but it’s beyond worth it.. the attention to detail… the artistry, time and clearly love put into their work makes each masterpiece they put out priceless .. but since they have to put a price tag I can honestly say it’s affordable and worth every penny for your cake to end up stealing the spotlight from any type of event thrown.

Outside of the rave reviews of the cake itself they are a group of bottomless talent, customer service oriented, helpful, friendly folks from the start to even the delivery/setup person at the end ..

I found a pic of the theme I wanted on the internet and described my desired changes via email to the studio. They not only hit my every detail, they crushed it! The cake was the hit of the party and as a bonus, was so moist and delicious that we ate the entire thing!

Amazing artistry AND taste! My husband found Lyla Jones on Instagram since we are traveling and knew we would be in Durham to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Communication was easy, pick up was a breeze (Sean was SO incredibly kind and helpful) and the cake design turned out even better than we hoped for our Cars-themed party. The cake flavors were delicious and moist, the fondant was the perfect thickness, everyone LOVED it. The only bummer is that we don't know if we will ever be in town again with a need for a cake - but if YOU are? Look no further, go with Lyla Jones - 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent service, everything was done by email so you have to be very detailed and know what you want. The cake was made exactly to my specification and turned out beautiful. This is my second cake order. Pick up was easy as well.

All I can say is....AMAZING!!! I had vison of a Louis Vuitton bag cake that I wanted. I couldn't find the exact picture but when I let them know what I wanted, they NAILED IT!! Attention to detail is INSANE!! I absolutely LOVED my cake and I received so many compliments. Not only did it look FLAWLESS, it taste delicious too!!
