Gabby Heron is amazing. Period. I drive an hour each way to see her and I will happily continue to so as long as she’s at Poppy. She’s an incredibly gifted stylist, chemist, therapist, and friend! I’ve been on quite the hair journey with her, and there is no one else I would trust. Her energy and charisma are magnetic and the good vibes are unmatched. I’d give her 100 stars if I could!!

I had a wonderful experience at Poppy’s Salon! About a year ago, I dyed my hair dirty blonde (at a different salon). I wasn’t sure Hannah, my hair stylist at Poppy’s, could dye the thick blonde highlights a brown color that matched the color of my growing roots. However, I was amazed with her work! She was successful and is certainly a skillful stylist! She’s also someone fun to chat with! 😊 The salon itself? Spotless, spacious and well-supplied for all your hair needs! I already have my next appointment set-up! lol

I saw Issa and had the absolute best experience! Not only did she give me an amazing cut (as seen in my profile pic), she cut my hair in a way that embraced my curls, and she taught me proper curly hair routine! I’m absolutely going back, this is now my salon and hopefully Issa is now my stylist! I cannot recommend enough!

Poppy’s salon was very welcoming. I received a cut & balayage from Payton. She did an amazing job, exceeded my expectations. Even with the little input I had. We were able to talk it out and she created exactly what I was envisioning.

Moved to Durham about 6 months ago and have been needing a haircut. Got in one day later with Gabby and my hair cut was amazing! She was very nice and professional. My hair looks amazing and healthy, will be coming back. Highly recommend!

I've received two great haircuts from Princess. She's very sweet and listens to what you want and delivers the style you want. She's recommended a shampoo for me and it's worked great at home. The price is also very reasonable. Will keep coming back.

CURLY HAIR? GO TO ISA!

Isa took phenomenal care of me! I told her I needed a haircut that was short but feminine and would work well with a helmet since I daily ride a motorcycle, on top of that I have curly hair that I needed some education on. She took that challenge and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had as well as taught me how to take care of my hair and how to style it as well as just kept up some lovely conversation the whole time. She is very well educated and has an eye for detail and is genuinely a ray of sunshine. All of my friends and family have been raving about my new haircut!

If you want a friendly stylist, a comfortable environment, and someone who really knows what they’re doing I HIGHLY recommend booking an appointment with Isa.

Everyone I’ve gone to at Poppy Salon has been great! I usually book with whoever has availability, but I recently got my hair cut from Isa and will only be going to her from now on. She is AMAZING!!

I have been wanting a long shag style cut, and my stylist Isa went above and beyond to deliver!! She is the first stylist I have had that did such an incredibly thorough consult. After discussing with her that I wanted more of my natural texture, more volume, and bangs, we made a game plan and she got to work and did a PHENOMENAL job. My hair used to be my favorite feature, but it has changed texture and color over the years, and I have struggled a lot because I haven’t found a cut that consistently feels good on me OUT of the salon when it isn’t freshly just styled after a haircut. Isa gave me a transformed haircut that I feel so great in!! I have been living in it for over a week and even with just washing and air dry (no heat styling) it is the best cut I’ve ever had!! I am so so SO thankful for her!! I will only be going back to her!!

Love Poppy Salon, their staff are so pleasant and their prices are super reasonable. My hairstylist Kim gave me a big chop and walked me through some tips on how to easily style my new cut with the tools I have at home. It was so helpful!

Tammy did my hair and it was superb. I definitely recommend poppy salon and to go see Tammy. She's exceptional.

I have been searching for a place that I really enjoyed since I moved to Durham in 2014. Most places are outrageously expensive here and I’m a tad picky. So after a few years of going back home for a rare cut and color I found Poppy Salon. I booked with Payton and OMG I’m so damn glad I did! You can feel and see the care she puts into her clients. She is super easy to talk to and really hears what you are wanting to do with your hair. 5 stars customer service, 5 stars for hairstylist, 5 stars for overall experience. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Isabella Aguilar was so sweet and so educational on how to fix my hair and bring my curls back to life. She was educational on which products to use for both flat ironing and for my natural curls. And her haircut with her blowout combo had me feeling A1 all day. Super sweet highly recommend her!! <3

I visited Poppy for the first time last Sunday. So many things to say! I was a bit nervous to try a new stylist But Gabby did an amazing job! She did a great technical job on the cut and was great to work with - very professional but also friendly and fun to be around. I love the whole training vibe of the salon - education and collaboration everywhere. The team have a great energy and I left loving my new hair and feeling great about the whole experience. I’ll be back soon!

called for a last minute appointment & they were able to squeeze me in within an hour!! i got a trim, wash & blowout done. my hair feels/looks amazing. Princess did exactly what i wanted & had me leaving the salon 10x better than when i came in :) 10/10 highly recommend

It is always a very pleasant experience going to Poppy Salon. Since the moment you step in there you receive a warm welcome and the time schedule is very well set up. My hairdresser is Nick and I absolutely recommend him. He is so professional and I trust in his recommendations about my hair. I value my appointments there as a relax time for me and my hair is much better since I started going there.

Had an amazing first experience at poppy salon yesterday. First and foremost all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
My stylist Kiki did an amazing job with my curly hair! I told her she is truly the curl DOCTOR! we did an all over bleach and she maintained my curls and kept them healthy. I truly appreciated how she educated me on my hair and how to maintain healthy, growing curls. She is super nice and if you are in need for a good curl specialist, I highly recommend Kiki! I definitely will be back! Thank you so much for an amazing experience.

I tried Poppy Salon for the first time and was very happy! Princess did a great job! She was kind and confident and helped me feel great by fixing a not-so-great haircut I had received from another salon. I was a tad indecisive and I really appreciated her guidance as to what would be a better cut for me. I’m very happy and will be returning!

This was my first time to Poppy and first time ever asking for both cut and color at a salon. Hannah was incredible (check out her work on Poppy’s website!), going above and beyond to talk me through options and ensure I left loving my hair. All with such joy and kindness! And the whole team from front desk to honestly even the other clients were full of warmth and kindness. Definitely worth making your appointment here!

Cam is a fantastic stylist who makes the time in the chair go by quickly. She is fun to talk with and always has fun stories and insights to share. She always does an incredible job with my hair, too.

The salon is also in a really convenient location.
