Extended Stay America Select Suites - Durham - University - Ivy Creek Blvd.

The Manager and staff was so helpful and accommodated my misshapen I caused booking my room I appreciate that and I apologize for causing the inconvenience but any how my room was clean all staff treated me great I'm a Chicago Native been here for almost a month they definitely extended my stay the area was great 7 min away from my job very convenient. I understand you have your knuckle heads everywhere you and staff can't control that I didn't have any problems out of my neighbors. I would definitely recommend the stay it's just my opinion. I stayed here for a trip with some friends and we had a great time. The front desk personnel were really nice and knowledgeable. For the price you can’t beat it. I would definitely recommend!!!

The best place, out of all locations, do to front desk assistant, with Ms.Alexis, and her great boss ,Ms. Sherica the greatest, and Ms. Joyce, is the greatest ♥ making me feel at home staying with my parents for holidays, ❤ they way they treated me like family, which made me extend my stay!!!!

Room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Other guests seemed to be the only problem. Guest threatened the woman at the front desk and even threw glass in there. However, the woman held her composure as best as anyone could. It was a bad situation but managed as best as anyone could hope when being threatened and you're by yourself with a line of other guests. I love this hotel! Keep up the great work!!!!

During my stay at the extended stay i received some of my best service from the lobby attendant. The housekeeping was nice and its always quiet and peaceful. The receptionist that assisted me the most was Cynthia. She Was an Awesome person to meet when visiting she gets right away to whatever you may need.

I really want to commend the front desk worker, Jodi. I walked into the lobby, and there was a frustrated customer who had a long day, but Jodi handled the escalated issue very professionally. She deserves a raise. She showed patience and respect, even when she was being disrespected. Thank you Jodi.

I love how the front desk is so kind. They seem to be busy so often because this is an older hotel and I know that things aren't perfect. But they maintain and help me out when I need it. Such a great crew.

It was a rough start at first. I arrived to my room and there was still trash in the trash cans in the kitchen, a plate of food in the microwave, and the bathroom toilet was missed entirely. TV had no sound and a few channels were just black screens. I was extremely upset and disappointed. As a Perks member I usually stay strictly at ESA and this was not acceptable. I went down to the Front desk to request a different room and Eva and Ronika were extremely apologetic and accommodating. I really feel like they were listening to understand and not to respond. They were polite the whole conversation and even went the extra mile as to upgrade my room. Everything was in order and has been great since! The area is quite with light traffic except the occasional weekends. The full kitchen is great. And the hotel is located near a 24-hour Harris Teeter and that is SUPER convenient. It’s a super stressful time as I’m waiting for my home to be renovated, but Eva and Ronika have really helped alleviate a lot of the stress and made it feel like a 2nd home. I definitely plan on staying here until my permanent home is ready.

I checked in on 11/4 /23 and when I got to the room the counter was dirty it was food crumble all over the bed pull back the sheets and there was hair and blood in the bed check in the next room and there were roaches all over the room it was the worst and on top of that they are not answering the phone so I can get my refund this is the worst one in Durham I have pictures to how do I upload them

This is one of the best extended stay I have stayed at. I moved from 1 of there locations to here and this is by far there best. There manager Michael is very good at his job and he takes the time to help all of his guest. There maintenance guy is by far the best. Kevin goes out of his way to help where ever he can. Then there is this house keeper ms brenda that is hands down there best. She as well goes out of her way to help all the guest. This extended stay has one of the best crew's working here to help all there guest. I have stayed in many extended stay across the USA and this one has been the best. I have seen some bad reviews on here for this location and I believe it's mainly the ones that dont want to follow the rules or cause problems for others that are making the bad reviews. Just want to say that Michael and his workers are the ones that make this a great place to stay.

We can't say enough about how the General Manager Mr. Michael Fox has helped us with our stay here. My daughter and I are here for several months while she is awaiting her lung transplant. We have been here now one week,and everything we've needed and requested has been done for us immediately. The staff has been just awesome. Mr. Michael Fox has been so helpful with meeting our needs. He goes beyond the call of duty. Like carrying to my car large boxes that were delivered to the front desk that were way to heavy for me to carry. Kevin the maintenance man who has worked so hard for us. He's put up our own shower massage for us, replaced refrigerators and numerous other things. Also he has a beautiful personality. Queen at the front desk always has a smile on her face and also is so gracious to help us. ALL the staff here are so willing to help. As two women alone we feel very safe here especially at night. We read the bad reviews before we came here, finances said we need to give it a try. Admittedly We were very worried, but after meeting the staff and especially Mr. Fox we now have a whole new feeling about this place. It is obvious Mr. Fox is trying to whip this place into shape, but things take time . I see Mr. Fox here from early in the morning till late at night, even weekends. At least my daughter and I can say we are very happy here and feel safe here. Shout out to Greg the ESA Shuttle driver here. Great guy who say's he'll get us to and from our appointments anytime.Also has a great personality! Thank you again to everyone here at ESA on Ivy Creek Blvd.!!!!

Stephanie on the front desk was very nice - you could tell that customer service was very important to all the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Short drive to Duke Hospital. Would stay again at Extended Stay America Durham again.

The customer service received from Sherica and Alexis is top notch. Seeing these 2 ladies deal with disgruntled customers and remain professional…GIVE THEM A RAISE!!

Very nice and affordable. Using hotel for program at Duke University, close to campus and lots of amenities surrounding hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
