One of the few great restaurants in Murfreesboro. Food and service is outstanding. Our server Victoria was excellent. We ordered the filet and lamb chops. Both were very good. Filet was my favorite and very tender and flavorful. Fried green tomatoes are excellent also. Definitely will be back. The bacon wrapped quail looks delicious and will be trying that on our next visit.

We went to five senses just this past Friday for my wife's birthday and had a great time. Five senses came recommended to us through some friends and it didn't disappoint. They have a very cool open kitchen, unique menu with many tempting choices, Garrett our waiter was excellent, the food was phenomenal and it was great value for the kind of food they serve. We had the bacon wrapped quail which was delicious, it was like eating a campfire! I was so excited to eat my tomahawk pork chop I forgot to take the picture before I started hence the partially eaten picture (sorry). My wife's lamb was mouth watering as well. It's not quite a white table cloth place but certainly on the fancier side. The desert main didn't have much choice but my upsidedown cake was really good. The food was hot but the restaurant was a little chilly to my liking. Overall a great spot and we will be back!

I was reading on the website that famous people have been here, which says a lot of good things about this place .
Kallie was the best waitress, she explained all about the restaurant since it started.
she also made it possible for me to have the drink a wanted, which wasn't in the menu.
My only discomfort is the temperature environment ( pretty cold), but well, I think only my wife and I suffer that, haha.
Overall drinks are good, we didn't eat here but probably soon.

Great double date with friends - enjoyed the Monday date night special for $80 and got to try a lot of the menu. All of the cocktails were great (especially the brown butter bourbon) as was the food. The scallops were divine, and the chicken picatta and steak were also done perfectly. Only the tuna was somewhat disappointing, lacked much flavor and the sides didn't help the dish overall.

Five senses never disappoints and Victoria’s service is TOP TIER!
Tonight, for our appetizers we enjoyed the Salmon Tartare and the fried okra.
Our entrees were the wagyu burger (with mashed potatoes and green beans ) and wagyu flank steak (as it appears on the menu).
For dessert we enjoyed the Fried Chocolate pies. We enjoyed glasses of the Salud red Zinfandel and an old Fashioned with Woodfood.
Every item was perfect. Victoria was professional, knowledgeable with impeccable timing and left us wanting nothing. This was the perfect anniversary dinner. We will be sure to ask for her again Monday-Friday. We have loved Five Senses for years and this experience will be marked as a favorite 🫶🏾

Anytime we are feeling that an elevated date night is due, we book ourselves a reservation at Five Senses.

Their Monday night date night special (1 app, 2 entrees, 1 dessert for a set price) is the best not-so-secret deal in town for this quality of food and service.

From the cornbread muffins to the variety of desserts on their seasonal menu - you would be hard pressed to leave here hungry or unhappy.

Many gluten-free options available to modified menu items. Fresh local ingredients seasonally. We make a point of going here when in Murfreesboro.

Five Senses gets 5 stars in my book for quality of food, level of service, and ease of accessibility! My husband made reservations for our family and friends for my birthday and we were all blown away! Our food was absolutely delicious and the staff was so gracious! So many of them stopped by just to wish me a happy birthday. They even made me the most delectable dessert cocktail as a gift! We were greeted as we entered and again as we left. And the biggest bonus was that it all felt so sincere. Overall it was a wonderful experience! We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time visiting and my and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I definitely recommend coming on Monday to take advantage of the date night special like we did. I look forward to going back. We had a great experience.

We enjoyed this industrial chic restaurant with an open kitchen and an intimate atmosphere, one of the best of Murfreesboro’s upscale dining. The waitstaff was attentive and allowed us to have a wonderful meal starting with appetizers (the tempura fish special was out of this world!), main entrees (shoutout to the duck breast for being so beautifully cooked), and dessert (the fried pie was fine but not great, sorry to say). This would be a prime date night spot with plenty of tables but not enough to feel the restaurant is crowded. Many ingredients are locally sourced, and the waiter knew which river the salmon came from. Overall, I was impressed and pleased, and we will be returning again!

Omg+ This restaurant is such a gem. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. I made a reservation for a group of twelve and they were so accommodating. I kept having to change the time because our baseball game went longer than expected But I kept them updated and they were so accommodating.

Their duck and lamb is to die for. Their appetizers are so good. You would need to try the tuna. Absolutely amazing flavors.

Always great food, service AND great atmosphere!
We dined on Red Fish + Asparagus and Filet + Potatoes.
As an Appetizer, we enjoyed the Meat + Cheese

What an amazing anniversary dinner! We were treated properly, the environment was as is in a busy kitchen with delicious food. The dinner area is small and we noticed they also have a back room.

The food was incredible and cooked as we ordered. Small plate we indulged in fried oysters with a delicious aioli sauce, then we had the filet mignon with kaleidoscope carrots and leeks, the scallops with brussels sprouts and potatoes.

For dessert we tried the apple molasses upside down cake, let’s just say we will return for dinner and I will not skip dessert!

Thank you Five Senses and staff!

Great flavorful, well prepared food. Great friendly service. Interesting menu. Definitely a place to try if you haven’t been!

Personally prefer their other restaurant - Steakhouse Five, but this ones is very good too!

Mitchell has created one of the best restaurants in Middle Tennessee. We are never disappointed. The filet and his blend of flavors are exquisite. The chef has a true talent for blending flavors. Always a lovely date night and highly recommend.

Five Senses was a great dining experience. To start, our server, Preston, was attentive and knowledgeable! We came in for the Monday date night special and began with the charcuterie. We then ordered the tomahawk veal and the filet, both were delicious. And we finished the night off with the plum tart. Everything was great and we hope to come back soon!

High quality food and a perfect location for a date night or other special event. You can sit at the bar but know this is a hopping location so reservations are recommended in the main dining area or seated around the cooking area where you can watch the food being made. Highly recommend the salmon tartare... Delicious

Tonight, I dined with my newer foodie friend at Five Senses Restaurant & Catering and let me go on and tell you it's worth it.
She made the reservation, so I was able to walk in and be seated while she was on her way (look, I'm early everywhere lol).
I ordered an old fashioned (you know I did) and perused the menu. Everything looked amazing. I had already looked, but they had some specials on.
By the time my friend arrived, I could tell this place was going to be in between Steakhouse Five and Primrose Table in terms of service type for me. There are places for everything, and I am not going to say one type is superior than the other. For me, Steakhouse Five is stuffy. I like to laugh and joke. Primrose is more my speed. You can cut up with the server but also get superior service. Five Senses seemed between that though slightly leaning toward Steakhouse Five. A little stuffy, but our server seemed cool. She was kind and attentive, respectful and knowledgeable. She kept my small water glass full 99% of the time. I say 99% because I chugged it and filled it again at one point. There was not enough time for her to see if empty! (They leave a carafe of water on the table; I didn't rush the kitchen or anything.)
We started with the octopus appetizer on the menu plus the chorizo quesadilla, which was a special. When I tell you that this octopus was the most tender octopus I have ever eaten. They brought out a steak knife for it, but I probably could have cut it by pinching it between my fingers. It was like butter, the smashed potatoes and chorizo perfectly cooked and paired so well as not to overpower the octopus. It was really a perfect plate. The chorizo quesadilla special was really good, though not as adventurous. It was just a solid plate.
For entrees, she had the chicken rigatoni because she said she'd never had pasta there. We all know I rarely order pasta out because I make it at home haha. But she loved that pasta, and the bite I took was really good. Nicely sauced without swimming. It stuck to the noodles in the right way.
I had the lamb shank (and you can laugh at me trying to fit it in one of my containers lol). It was also so tender I didn't need a knife. Seriously. Fork tender, falling off the bone, cut like butter... However you need it said. It was deliciously tender, and the greens on top were perfectly seasoned and paired. I didn't eat many beans (most of them are in my takeaway container), but the ones I did eat seemed perfectly cooked.
We finished off with the blueberry lemon dessert (minus the ginger and almond for my dining companion). Lemon and blueberry are just the perfect pair, and they shined here too. Simple, moist, and the perfect size for 2 people.
We each got 2 drinks and we added an appetizer to the date night special (it's on Monday nights and it's worth it), so we spent about $150+ tip.
I couldn't do it every Monday, but it's worth putting in the rotation for sure. I hope you'll give them a shot!

Wife's birthday dinner with another couple. Food was great. Service was almost great. Atmosphere was great. We had cocktails, the crab dip and the whipped feta. Scallops, Blackened Redfish and Leg of Lamb. All three desserts. The strawberry tart was amazing. Take home some cornbread and the butter.
