Whistle Stop Cafe

What a great little escape! Went to the casino for a weekend away and stopped at this gem on the way home for some breakfast and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and felt like I was right at home! The service was great and everything you get for a great price. The cinnamon rolls are a must! Was not disappointed and highly would recommend it to anyone in the area or driving by!

So glad we stopped in to the Whistle Stop. It was the best Patty Melt I've ever had! Great little mom and pop restaurant!

Stopped in for breakfast. French toast was really good. Also got the smoke stack which was awesome. Bed of hash browns with sausage Pattie’s and eggs drowned in gravy. Delicious.

Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Small town feel.

Great food, good prices, and friendly staff. All the dishes we tried were amazing. Hot chocolate with whipped cream was literally overflowing, resulting in squeals of excitement from the kids. Free coffee refills are a huge plus. Real old school diner with an old school feel.

Food was really tasty and fresh and very reasonably priced with good portions.
Staff was very friendly, and everything in the restaurant was bright clean and cheery, and not very noisy compared to the other restaurant down the road
They even have a guest book you can sign .

Ordered 3 to-go orders. Chicken sandwich, chicken ranch sandwich, and children's chicken tenders. All the food was excellent. This will be my go-to place to get food whenever I'm down this way from now on. It's not too far from the freeway. Give it a try!

This place was a delightful surprise. A waitress at a restaurant in the next town over recommended this place to us. Waitresses know. The food was the freshest, hottest food ever served. The homemade pies are delicious. Definitely go here for lunch or dinner. We haven't had breakfast there yet. The restaurant has a 99.9% happy customer rating.

Great food, great service, everything was great. We had the Hungry Man Breakfast. My wife and I were starving before we walked in but not anymore. Lol! It's time to hibernate.

Food was hot and tasty. Good coffee as well. Place is homey with local atmosphere and pleasant wait staff. Have been here before so it was a good return experience. Waitress recognized us even tho it was a few years ago. We'll be back!

Stopped on a whim on our way to St Croix park. We had a wonderful breakfast! Great food, pleasant service, fair price. If this diner was in my town, I would go to it several times a week!

My kids loved the burgers on texas toast and my Reuben toast was pretty well done but the flavor made up for it!
Make sure you take a homemade pie to go....french silk was the best I've ever had!

Nice Cafe, the price is pretty average and the food is really good. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and they only put one lousy little piece of bacon on it, had I known that I wouldn't have even ordered it. Besides that I enjoyed the meal. It's worth a stop.

We stopped in for brunch on Sunday. It was very busy and we still had great service. A few daily specials were sold out which isn't a bad thing with how busy they were. It was our first time and we would stop again!

My husband and I are here on a busy weekend and our waitress was prompt and friendly. My Denver omelet was amazing, I couldn't stop eating it. It also was cute inside, I would highly recommend!

Amazing little mom and pop cafe. Great customer service and wonderful dishes. Even though it was busy as heck the waitresses never complained and seemed to love their job! I had the am train wreck and it was one of the best loaded hash browns I've ever had. My partner has the hamburger steak and gravy and the gravy was so so good. I also had the bread pudding and it was total delish.

We stopped on our way to Duluth. The food was delicious, and everyone was super nice and friendly. Definitely would stop again. Yummy!

Service was max friendly. Interior is obviously recently refreshed. (Could be a little brighter on the bar stool side.) Food was good. Banana cream pie may have been the best of my life.

The whistle stop cafe was amazing place to not only hold our meeting today with our wedding client, but also have some delicious food, amazing staff and amazing atmosphere to be around, Freezing Moments Photography will be back to enjoy more amazing food. Thank you once again.
