Grand Northern Inn

This is so strange to see. I haven't seen this pool in years. This hotel. I used to come here twice a week when I was young. It's so strange to have changed so much over the years. People always say that things look worse than they remember from their childhood. But I think this is the first time I've seen photos of a place that are exactly as I remember.

Objectively speaking, Near town, decent pool and hot tub, has a sauna. Not usually too busy, if it's even still in operation. I'm not sure if they made it through COVID, despite what this page says, every time we drove past lately, it seems empty.

They have some of the best housing for guests of all sorts. Clean rooms. Spotless bathrooms, friendly staff. This place has it all figured out. Definitely a great place for small parties and meetings. Has a very nice pool and hot tub. Noise level is down to a minimum. Overall a great place for a good night's rest.

A great place to stay when you're on a budget or don't care about looking fancy cause face it, you're only going to the hotel to sleep or... so who cares how fancy the place looks right? This hotel has the best pool out of all the casino hotels. It's not over chlorinated or over populated (usually) plus there's a sauna and hot tub. They also have one thing none of the other casino properties have and that's continental breakfast which has quite the variety of breakfast items.

The location is convenient, my husband and I use this hotel as a get away. The last visit we stayed in the King Suite through a monthly casino special. The room was beautiful, the tub was stupendous, and the suana was a dream. It is a great place to take a mini one night in town vacation.

Very quiet area, friendly staff, clean room, great bed, ok free breakfast, walking distance to several restaurants, free friendly shuttle to casino. We stopped on our way "up north" without a reservation, found this hotel clean and comfortable, so stayed again on our trip home. At $71, a good value!

Location was great. 24/7 shuttle to and from casino. Staff was super friendly. Just your average hotel. Decor was a little dated, but the hotel met my expectations.

Definitely get your money's worth! Be sure to check booking online! We got an awesome deal! Hadn't been here in 11 years, read the reviews and was quite skeptical. We stayed and it was just as good as it was 11 years ago! I have no complaints and say don't let the reviews on here keep you from staying. They do have Wi-Fi and give you user and password info at check in. It did not smell of cigarette smoke and I am very sensitive to it. Also we had our children with us and not once did we feel like they shouldn't be there. I feel like there are some people in this world who just like to complain. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone!

Great location. I stay here often.Liz and the morning staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and the housekeeping staff are helpful with stayovers. Accommodations are always met. I highly recommend this hotel.

Free wifi, air conditioning. The pool is open till 1am. Shuttle service every 20 or so minutes depending on traffic. Rooms are kept clean. Friendly atmosphere.

I have been there twice now and i have never had a bad experience. Rooms are always clean and everyone is friendly. One complaint though, no Belgian waffles or eggs.

Stayed in a room with two queen beds. Had plenty of space. Free wifi and Continental breakfast. The free shuttle to the casino ran frequently, didn't have to wait long.

Nice and clean. Amy in housekeeping got us extra shampoo. The guy at the breakfast bar checked to made sure that everyone had everything they needed.

Clean, comfy and cozy. I love the shuttle the goes back and forth to the casino every 30 minutes. The staff is friendly and breakfast was good.

We weren't there that long, just to sleep, but the room was clean, beds were comfortable. The staff was great. Convenient location. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel with a free shuttle to the casino. It's also close to several restaurants by the interstate. The kids enjoy the pool area. And in the morning there is free continental breakfast

Nice clean rooms, daily breakfast of assorted doughnuts and rolls, juice, cereals. Shuttle to Grand Casino, they call and let you know the time they will be there...definitely will be back!

Was a nice stay.. Visiting family in sandstone the day before and my mother getting to the casino not far down the road.. Very close to gas station.. Tobies.. Taco Bell land McDonald's.. Also free Wi-Fi at hotel and cable! Free breakfast in the morning.. Had a variety of things to eat.. toast with butter and jelly..Bagels and cream cheese.. muffins.. cereal and milk.. juice.. coffee and different fruit-filled strudels and also a indoor pool and hot tub!! Has a claw machine near pool and vending machines!! Has elevator too!

It is a great place they have a swimming pool hot tub sauna. And offer rooms for smoking and none and also many different bed options. Their is also a conntenentsl breakfast that is wonderful

Great service last week. Had family from Winnipeg and we had a great stay at Grand Northern. Loved the breakfast! Nice and clean and friendly!

Nice clean pool hot tub and suana . Rooms were clean and not to crammed . Good all around for price. Breakfast was not bad either.
